I did choose three from the poll: Skye's father, Ward/Skye prison scenes and Hunter joining the team.
ReplyDeleteOther: Love the interactions/scenes between Hunter and Bobbi. They have great chemistry, the two of them work well together, they bicker (which is hilarious to see) but they do care about each other even if they don't want to admit it.
I thought the first few episodes of Season 2 were slow, but it's picked up again and I'm loving this show. Hope the show gets renewed for Season 3.
Ward and the Hunter/Bobbi storyline hands down
ReplyDeleteFitzs storyline no doubts about that I an has been killing it from snarky/happy go lucky fitz of season 1 to the brain damaged fitz in season 2.
ReplyDeleteCoulson's new position and the alien writing, Skye and her father, Ward and his storyline, and Fitz and Mack's friendship. Wish we could have seen more of undercover Jemma.
ReplyDelete1) Fitz's condition has led to some of the most emotionally hard-hitting scenes of the season, and there are still avenues to explore. I'm anxious to see some closure/resolution of the tension between Fitz/Simmons. Their scenes so far have only scratched the surface.
ReplyDelete2) I'm loving the May/Coulson partnership, their "put-me-down-if-I-lose-myself" agreement seems to be steering the storyline towards a nail-biting conclusion.
3) Hunter & Bobbi are both interesting each in their own right, and they have added a playful Mr&Mrs Smith dynamic to the show.
4) The Fitz/Mack friendship is a nice touch. I hope there will be more screentime to develop it into a standalone friendship instead of a Fitzsimmons substitute.
Fitz, Coulson's new position and Ward, but not Ward in prison or anything which even suggests a future for him with Skye (that is wrong on so many levels), just what he does next.
ReplyDeleteI love most of the storylines really.
ReplyDeleteSimmons being undercover was great, sad its over so quickly.
I love getting to know Bobbi and her relationship with Hunter which is so fun.
All the bad things Hydra are doing.
But my favourite storyline has to be Fitz struggling with his condition and his friendship with Mack plus dealing with the return of Jemma. Iain plays it so well and I love the dynamics between the characters.
Fits, SkyeWard, Skye's father
ReplyDeleteSkye's especially the mystery behind her and behind her father.
ReplyDeleteVoted for Ward in prison and Skye/Ward
ReplyDeleteJust because the MCU seriously needs some acknowledged LGTBP characters, I'm kind of hoping Fitz/Mack is more than Platonic. I can completely see Fitz as being pansexual and he definitely appreciates Mack's physique. Why would they spend time pointing that out if they weren't gonna take it somewhere? Also when talking about his past relationships Mack stayed gender-neutral. This could be really interesting and I hope they take it there.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking most of them really...great season so far:)
ReplyDeleteall of them!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHunter and Bobbi joining the team and Coulson's storyline with a healthy dose of May.
ReplyDeleteOn the one hand, I agree about Jemma's storyline. On the other... having her, of all people, go undercover AND not being found out immediately was already a stretch.
ReplyDeleteVoted "other", because I like Ward's storyline and would like to see more of him and his redemption, but I wish it didn't involve Skye so much.
ReplyDeleteI'd say the Fitz storyline because it mixes with his new friendship with Mack. I just like that Mack is taking on this sort of big brother role where he's protecting Fitz but allowing him to find himself.
ReplyDeleteThe alien writing. Skye's father. And Fitz's struggles.
ReplyDeleteCoulson's storyline and Fitz (including Fitz and Mack's friendship) dealing with his brain damage.
ReplyDeleteSkye's father, Coulson and Hunter
ReplyDeleteCoulson's alien writing, Skye's biodad and the obelisk, Fitz struggles and Ward and whatever's coming his way.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I'm surprised at the number of closeted Ward/SkyeWard fans out there, eventhough I'm looking forward to the storyline, with so many negative posts in this fórum I thought it was going to be at the bottom of the poll.
Definitely the mystery of the Obelisco and Skye's father.
ReplyDeleteThe negative posts can be really malicious. I've always considered them a vocal minority, but they do succeed in discouraging people from saying anything positive about Ward/Skyeward. You just don't want to deal with the drama, you know? Many people I know love him and his storyline but don't want to talk about it because some people make it pretty much impossible to have an intelligent, hate-free discussion. He's a pretty polarizing character for many.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, if anyone follows what the executive producers, actors, and Marvel people say on Ward/his future, it's pretty promising.
Anything related to FitzSimmons.
ReplyDeleteFitz suffering from brain damage has been the best handled in my opinion. I also like the additions of Mac, Bobbi, and Hunter. They have been great. Simmons going undercover was great but too short. I hate everything about Skye's storylines though. Here's hoping to get more backstory on May this season.
ReplyDeleteThis is somewhere I actually really hope they DON'T go even though I'm pretty sure that the will. Hear me out...I'm all for adding LGTBP characters but I really don't want it to be Fitz, for many reasons...
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I am one of those saps who wants Fitz and Simmons to be together. That being said, since there are so many who want this to happen I've already accepted that it never will. This is a Whedon show, after all, and they are famous for never letting the couples people want together to be together. Whedons are mean.
Second, this already happened in the Whedonverse. Those of you who watched Buffy will remember that Willow and Xander were best friends. She had a big ol' unrequited crush on Xander and later on in the series discovered that she was gay. Willow's relationship with Tara was the best one of the show (so of course they had to kill Tara...see "Whedons are mean"). This was a fantastic storyline but I really don't want to see it done again.
Third, all of the men on this show (except for daddy Coulson) have muscles growing out of their muscles and are stereotypical "manly men". Fitz is the only one who doesn't fit the stereotype, so he must be the gay one? Just...no.
Also, I know that heterosexual men generally don't comment on the physiques of other men...out loud. This comment was in Fitz's head. As a straight woman I sure notice when another woman is hot (here's looking at you, Chloe Bennett). Guys surely must NOTICE when another man is built like a Mack truck (see what I did there?). Then again, I'm not a dude, so maybe I'm off there. You tell me.
Anyway, all that being said I still do suspect that this is where they are going to go with Fitz. If it happens I'm sure it will be done well and I'll be fine with it in the end. Honestly, I'd be fine watching Iain de Caestecker just stand there. Until the Whedons kill him. Whedons are mean.
I can't wait to see more of Ward's storyline and how Skyeward develops! #StandWithWard I'm SO happy he's finally free, for the first time in his life.
ReplyDeleteWard escapes!
