Exposed - Ben Barnes cast as Male Lead

Ben Barnes (The Chronicles Of Narnia franchise) has been tapped as a male lead opposite Mary Elizabeth Winstead in ABC‘s drama pilot Exposed, from writer Charles Randolph, Peter Traugott’s TBD Entertainment, Sweden-based Yellow Bird Entertainment and Universal TV. Based on the best-selling Swedish novels by Liza Marklund, Exposed centers on Anna (Winstead), an investigative journalist who will stop at nothing to uncover the truth, including making questionable alliances. Barnes will play Stoya, a mysterious man who develops an intimate relationship with Anna. He claims to be a pilot but is in fact an NSA whistleblower who is being hunted by the U.S. government because he knows too much.

Scorpion - Katherine McPhee cast as Female Lead

Katharine McPhee is returning to the small screen.

The Smash and American Idol alum has booked the female lead in CBS' genius drama pilot Scorpion, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Based on the life of Walter O'Brien, the drama revolves around Walter (Body of Proof's Elyes Gabel) an eccentric genius and his international network of super-geniuses who form the last line of defense against the complex threats of the modern age.

McPhee will play Paige, a working-class hero and diner waitress who understands geniuses who becomes a nanny of sorts and translator for Walter's super team of socially misunderstood masterminds.

The Winklers - Judith Light to Co-Star
Judith Light of Who’s The Boss is set to co-star opposite Happy Days alum Henry Winkler in ABC pilot The Winklers, from Everybody Loves Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal; Winkler’s son, director Max Winkler; and son-in-law, actor Rob Reinis. Based on Henry Winkler’s relationship with his son-in-law, Reinis, The Winkles centers on Jack (Domenick Lombardozzi), an emotionally reserved construction worker who learns about love, life and hugs while unexpectedly living with his in-laws — successful actor Henry (Winkler) and Tita Winkler (Light), the fabulous, fierce momma bear of the family

The Odd Couple - Georgia King cast as Female Lead

Georgia King, the breakout female star of NBC’s comedy series The New Normal, has been tapped as the female lead of another comedy project with two guys at the center, CBS‘ multi-camera pilot The Odd Couple starring Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon. Co-written and executive produced by Perry, the project, a take on the Neil Simon classic, revolves around two mismatched roommates — the messy Oscar Madison (Perry) and neat freak Felix Unger (Lennon). Scottish-born King will play Katie, a model who lives in the same building as Oscar.

Red Zone - Kim Dickens to Star, Kevin Rahm and Samantha Mathis also join cast

Friday Night Lights alum Kim Dickens has been tapped to star in CBS’ drama pilot Red Zone opposite Anthony LaPagila. Written by Nikki Toscano and directed by James Foley, the Universal TV drama centers on Holden Weller (LaPaglia), a retired CIA operative and intense high school football coach/athletic director who is pulled back into action when a terrorist event rocks Washington, DC, forced to investigate closer to home where the next generation of terrorists is being bred. Dickens will play Helen Weller, Holden’s confident and strong wife, a former CIA shrink who teaches psychology at the same high school as her husband.

Also cast in the pilot is Kevin Rahm (Mad Men) and Samantha Mathis (Under The Dome) as husband and wife Paul and Olivia Jordan, and the parents of Jake (Graham Rogers), a friend of the Wellers’ daughter Laney and second-string QB on Holden’s team. Paul is a good father despite the fact his NSA analyst job keeps him overworked and away from his family a great deal; Olivia is a well-kept woman who is dialed into the DC elite. Mathis is guest starring in what is a regular role in the pilot.

Love Is Relative - Jason Jones to Star

The Daily Show's Jason Jones is headed for NBC.

The actor/comedian/Daily Show correspondent has been tapped to star in NBC's comedy pilot Love Is Relative, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

From Borat's Dan Mazer, the comedy centers on a wife (GCB's Leslie Bibb) and her husband and how they start to see their marriage in a whole new way when her newly divorced brother (Barry Rothbart) moves in with them.

Jones will star as Nate, a good dad and husband who views with envy the perks of a bachelor's life when his brother-in-law moves in.

Mazer will pen the script, direct and exec produce the 20th Century Fox Television single-camera comedy alongside Tom Werner and Tom Lassally. Jones joins a cast that also includes Pitch Perfect's Utkarsh Ambudkar.

Should Love Is Relative go to series, Jones would exit his role with the Daily Show, where he has been a correspondent since 2005.

Agatha - Daniel Henney joins cast

Daniel Henney (X Men Origins: Wolverine) has been cast opposite Bojana Novakovic in ABC’s drama pilot Agatha, from ABC Studios and Mark Gordon Co. It centers on former convict-turned-big-city criminologist Agatha (Novakovic), who is brought in to help local police crack a case involving a perplexing disappearance. Henney will play Rey, Agatha’s attentive, doting and loving fiance.

Salvation - Danny Huston cast as Male Lead

Danny Huston (X Men Origins: Wolverine) is set for the male lead opposite Ashley Judd in NBC’s drama pilot Salvation, written by Elizabeth Heldens and directed by Jeffrey Reiner. In Salvation, mega-church pastor Daniel Strickland suddenly dies, and his loyal wife, Jennifer Strickland (Judd), must rally to keep their family together and save the church. Huston will play Caleb, the lead pastor at a rival mega-church.

State Of Affairs - Adam Kaufman cast as Male Lead

Adam Kaufman (Altered) has nabbed the male lead on NBC's Katherine Heigl-produced State Of Affairs. It stars Heigl as Charleston Whitney Tucker, a key CIA attaché who counsels the president on high-stakes incidents around the world. Kaufman will play Lucas Wright, a CIA analyst on the President’s daily briefing team.

Laughs Unlimited - Melonie Diaz gets Lead Role

Fruitvale Station’s Melonie Diaz has been cast as the lead in Laughs Unlimited (working title), a drama series project about a war vet’s struggles with post traumatic stress disorder, which has been on the works at HBO for the past year and a half. It has not been picked up to pilot yet, with HBO doing preliminary casting and working on the budget as it does on most scripts it is high on before making a formal pilot order.

Laughs Unlimited hails from Oren Moverman, who has directed Rampart and The Messenger, and Anthony Swofford, best known for writing the book Jarhead. It centers on Army Reserve medic Billie Crown (Diaz) who, after fifteen months as a combat medic in Afghanistan, discovers that “real life” is just as perilous as war. Duty as a Sacramento cop offers the same dangers and thrills as combat, and repairing relationships with her husband and young daughter is as difficult as saving a comrade after an IED attack. Moverman and Swofford wrote the script and are executive producing along with X-Men: Days Of Future Past producer Lauren Shuler Donner, actress Jennifer Beals, Jack Leslie of The Donners Co., and Adena Chawke of Greenlight Management.

Ellen More Or Less - Michael Liu added as Regular
Michael Liu (Conviction) has booked a series regular role on NBC’s pilot Ellen More Or Less, written/exec produced by JJ Philbin, directed by Peyton Reed and exec produced by Jason Katims and Michelle Lee. The single-camera comedy, from Universal TV and Katims’ True Jack Productions, centers on Ellen (Stacey McGunnigle), an average-size woman who, after losing 100 pounds, begins reinventing herself in life and love. Liu, repped by Gray Talent Group and Generate, will play Nicholas, a co-worker of Ellen’s in the Billing Department.

iZombie - Ruhul Kohli added as Regular
UK native Ruhul Kohli (Alone Together) has been tapped for a series regular role in Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero’s CW drama pilot iZombie, from Warner Bros TV. Based on the DC comic, iZombie is a supernatural crime procedural that centers on med student-turned-zombie Olivia “Liv” Moore (Rose McIver), who takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity. But with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories. With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head. Kohli, a newcomer to U.S. television, will play Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, a high-energy, enthusiastic nerd with a brilliant mind who becomes Liv’s friend, partner and confidant.
