The Walking Dead 4.04 "Indifference" Preview

This week’s episode of The Walking Dead, “Indifference” is going to leave a lot of viewers shocked. The episode culminates in a moment that I certainly never saw coming. The episode was written by Matt Negrete and was directed by Tricia Brock. Both are new to The Walking Dead and neither has a background in horror, yet the episode fits seamlessly into rhythm of the season.

At the center of this week’s episode is the fallout from Carol’s (Melissa McBride) final words in the last episode. The episode parallels the two teams scavenging – Daryl (Norman Reedus), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Tyreese (Chad L Coleman), and Bob’s (Lawrence Gilliard Jr) foray to the Veterinary College for medicine and Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Carol’s foray to a nearby town for whatever medicine they can get in the meantime as well as much needed food. The events of the end of the episode will, no doubt, be a game changer going forward this season. As we’ve come to expect, the two storylines dovetail in ways that encourage us to look at events in different ways. The episode doesn’t give us any insight into how people are faring in the quarantine, however.
You will not want to miss this episode. It is both satisfying and shocking in equal measures. I would love to tell you more... but I can’t. I’m looking forward to coming back later this week to discuss the episode in great detail...
The episode airs tonight, November 3 at 9pm on AMC. This episode of The Walking Dead will air in the UK on Friday, November 8 at 10pm on FOX. If you missed “Isolation” in the UK, you can see that tonight at 9pm on FOX.
