Quote of the Week - 24th November 2013

A weekly feature highlighting the best quotes on TV this past week.

Agents of SHIELD: 'The Well'; 19th November; Chloe Bennet, Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen/Brett Dalton
Jamie Coudeville:
Skye: "Wouldn't mind getting my human hands on Thor. He's so dreamy." Coulson: "Sure he's handsome, but..." May: "No, he's dreamy."

Ward: "When you held it, did you see anything?" (May nods) Ward: "Then how, how did you hold all three?" May: "Because I see it everyday."

American Horror Story: 'The Dead'; 20th November; Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe
DarkUFO:
Madame LaLaurie: "No. You don't know this woman. What you do to me?" Queenie: "Yes, I do. That's the reason I brought you here, you dumb bitch."

Arrow: 'State v Queen'; 20th November; John Barrowman
Bradley Adams:
Malcolm: "Hello Moira." This was Malcolm's trademark in the first season, and hearing it again was awesome.

Elementary: 'On The Line'; 21st November; Lucy Liu, Jonny Lee Miller
A Dahne:
Watson: "It's the Uggs. They're bothering me." Sherlock: "It was 2007. Those glorified slippers were a veritable pox on the streets." Couldn't agree more. I never did understand that fad.

Sherlock: "I consider you to be exceptional so I make an exceptional effort to accommodate you, but you must accept that for as long as you choose to be in my life, there will occasionally be fallout from my behavior. That must be a part of our understanding." Watson: "No one could accept something like that forever." My favorite part of this episode was Watson calling Sherlock out on his bad behavior. It was about time. This quote, while not my favorite, was I feel very important and I like how Sherlock values their partnership enough to behave differently to Watson. I also like how Watson in return says that no one can tolerate boorish behavior for long.

Homeland: 'A Red Wheelbarrow'; 17th November; Claire Danes/Rupert Friend
DarkUFO:
Carrie: "Where the fuck is Saul?"

Quinn: "Carrie, I will take the shot."

Once Upon a Time: 'Think Lovely Thoughts'; 17th November; Robert Carlyle, Colin O'Donoghue, Josh Dallas/Jennifer Morrison
Darth Locke:
Gold: "You mind if I, uh, borrow this? You said no magic, I agreed. But I'm not walking in there with nothing but my good looks." Hook: "Now, I, on the other hand..." David: (tosses him a sword) "Here, in case your good looks fail you."

Emma: "We need to talk." Hook: "I've found that when a woman says that I'm rarely in for a pleasant conversation."

Once Upon a Time In Wonderland: 'Who's Alice?'; 21st November; Michael Socha/Sophie Lowe
Jamie Coudeville:
Will: "What the hell, it's a bloody perfume bottle."

Will: "Who's that?" Alice: "That's just the carpenter, don't worry about him." Will: "Right, don't worry about the man with the saw and the scary grin."

Person of Interest: 'The Crossing'; 19th November; Michael Emerson, Amy Acker/Sarah Shahi/Jim Caviezel, Taraji P. Henson
Bradley Adams:
Finch: "Breakfast." Root: "It's 4 in the morning." Finch: "I may not be back in time. I may not be back at all." It's almost a regular theme of Finch's to be panicking beyond necessity.

Finch: "Remind me to hire an optimist next time." I love the interaction between Finch and Shaw. Finch does a good job of pointing out the obvious things, e.g. Shaw's pessimistic attitude.

Darth Locke: Reese: "What is it about you, Joss, that makes you want to do everything on your own?" Carter: "What is it about you, John, that makes you want to save everybody else's life but your own?"

Finch: "How could I ever let you go when I know with almost absolute certainty that bad things will happen?" Root: "Bad things will happen regardless. The question is, are you gonna let them happen to your friend?"

Revolution: 'Everyone Says I Love You'; 20th November; Giancarlo Esposito/Aidan Sussman/David Lyons
Brandon Rowe:
“Who is this ass-clown you're with?"

Darth Locke: Nanites in form of boy: “You tell me to leave, and then you say come. You say kill them. Then you tell me not to kill them. You don’t make any sense.”

Monroe: “I’m batman.”

The Big Bang Theory: 'The Thanksgiving Decoupling'; 21st November; Mayim Bialik
Babar Suhail:
Amy: "I know how you feel. Sheldon ignored me for a week when he got that Roomba vacuum. I kick it when he is not looking."

The Goldbergs: 'Stop Arguing and Start Thanking'; 19th November; Wendi McLendon-Covey, Jeff Garlin/Dan Fogler
A Dahne:
Beverly: "Because Marvin's your brother and the only family you've got." Murray: "No, I've got you. I've got what's-her-name. I've got the two morons in the basement. I'm good." Murray is one of my favorite new characters. He always makes me laugh and "moron" is the new "I love you."

Murray: "Look the point is it wasn't easy looking after you, but I don't regret it, and the only reason I call you a moron is because I want the best for you." Marv: "Really?" Murray: "Yeah." The reason The Goldbergs is my favorite new comedy is because in an episode full of laughs, there's always a heartwarming scene too. In this episode, it was Murray finally reconciling with his little brother. Awww.

The Tomorrow People: 'Limbo'; 20th November; Peyton List
Bradley Adams:
Cara: "If either one of you says he started it I will tear you both to shreds." That was a hilarious moment from Cara.

The Walking Dead: 'Live Bait'; 17th November; David Morrissey
DarkUFO:
The Governor: "I'm a pirate."

The Vampire Diaries: 'Dead Man on Campus'; 21st November; Nina Dobrev/Paul Wesley
Jamie Coudeville:
Katherine: "Matty-blue-blue, I want another drink." Matt: "No, you're drunk and scaring the customers." (Katherine waves.)

Stefan: "You're Katherine Pierce, suck it up."

White Collar: 'Ice Breaker'; 21st November; Willie Garson/Tim DeKay
A Dahne:
Moz: "The history of cryptography, oddly cryptic." Mozzie gets some of the best lines on TV. This one was simple, but it made me chortle.

Peter: "So what I'm really trying to say is it's good to put all these names to faces, so raise a glass. Oh, one other thing. You're all under arrest." Peter, on the other hand, rarely gets the good lines so this toast was priceless. I love how he delivered it so seriously and the guests' complete shock when the FBI came in. Con well played, Peter.
