24's Stephen Kronish is to write the US remake of French crime drama Braquo as US production company Asylum Entertainment starts to pitch it to US cable networks.
Kronish was an executive producer of FOX's long-running hit action drama, working on close to 100 episodes of the Kiefer Sutherland-fronted series.
Braquo, which was created by Olivier Marchal and French production company Capa for premium network Canal Plus, will start its third season in France in 2013. The crime drama follows a group of police officers at the very edge of the law.
The first script for the US remake has just been handed in by Kronish and Asylum will start approaching cable networks in the coming weeks.
