The return of Arrested Development is now a done deal. Netflix announced today that it has picked up exclusive rights to brand-new episodes of the classic cult comedy, and they'll be available on instant watch sometime in the first half of 2013. Series creator Mitch Hurwitz teased his plan to bring back the Bluths last month, and though Hulu and Showtime both made a play for the new mini-season, Netflix came out ahead and will add Arrested to a new slate of original programming that includes the Kevin Spacey drama House of Cards. Hurwitz has claimed that these new episodes will run in the lead-up to a feature film, and though there's no more word on the movie just yet, it looks like this long-awaited revival is finally a go. Finally, something Reed Hastings won't have to apologize for!
