Episode 1.03 "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" October 9
The women are on a flight to Berlin to cover a speech given by President Kennedy, and Maggie is determined to meet President Kennedy come hell or high water. She's not above flirting with Mike (Colin Donnell), a Village Voice reporter, or resorting to pickpocketing.
Kate meets up with Anke (Auden Thornton), her East German contact, but there's an issue: Anke wants to defect. Can Kate help her? Maybe, but Anke might have to get into Kate's Pan Am uniform to get away.
At an event with Dean and some Germans, Colette creates something of a stir when she reminds the Germans of Germany occupying France during World War II. (Colette was 3 when the occupation occurred.)
Episode 1.04 "Eastern Exposure" October 16
In Indonesia, what should be a routine courier mission involving a camera for Kate becomes difficult, at least in part because of her sister Laura.
News about a space mission leads to Ted recalling how he left the Navy; he was blamed for a plane crash despite his claims that aircraft failure was the cause. His dad, Douglas Vanderway (Jay O. Sanders), pushed for him to work for Pan Am instead of attempting to work with the space mission.
Laura and a Naval officer have a race in the pool, but Ted jumps into the pool to defend Laura's honor.
Maggie shows a naive Laura around the city.
Episode 1.05 "One Coin in the Fountain" October 23
Dean becomes interested in Ginny (Erin Cummings), a woman who turns out to be connected to Pan Am VP Everett Henson (Scott Cohen). Getting involved with her, though, would put his career at risk.
In a flashback, Laura is determined to buy her engagement ring back from a pawn shop. Can Ted help?
Kate's next CIA assignment involves her getting close to a UN attache named Nico Pavic (Goran Visnjic). He has a connection to a spy he'll meet up with at a Monte Carlo casino. Getting close to him may be difficult for Kate, as he's already shown an interest in Maggie. One of the women ends up in Nico's bed.
Episode 1.06
The women are starting to put together Ginny's connection to Everett.
Maggie is in trouble with Pan Am for insubordination. Maggie and Laura end up in a Rio de Janeiro jail.
In a flashback to 1959, Maggie is a waitress with dreams of becoming something more. Later, she attempts to get into college at Berkeley. This will be a very revealing episode in terms of Maggie's history.
Laura connects with a photographer named Graham.
Episode 1.07
In Rome, the women visit an art gallery. A nun needs to use the bathroom, but two people are inside it, and they're doing something that usually involves a bed.
Someone warns Nico's love interest to stay away from him,
Dean is in a hotel lobby in Rome with Colette when he sees Ginny; he's not happy to see her.
Colette has to escort a 12 year old. He's something of an old soul, but just as he charms Colette, he pushes things too far.
Will Laura lose her virginity with Graham?
