Question: Is there any truth to the rumor that Booth will be breaking up with Hannah in the Feb. 10 episode of Bones? Or is it possible that they might get engaged? Please tell me anything to calm my nerves before I die from anxiety! —Bee
Ausiello: I’m not commenting on what specifically goes down in the Feb. 10 episode, but I will say this: It’s my understanding that Katheryn Winnick will be making her final appearance as Hannah within the next two months. I give you permission to shoot the messenger a nice email of appreciation at askausiello@tvline.com. (BTW, I hear the Feb. 10 episode is absolutely stellar.)
Question: Any Glee scoop involving Rachel’s love life? —Alyson
Ausiello: An unconfirmed rumor suggests that Lea Michele’s suddenly single alter ego will be getting some action soon. The twist? It won’t be with Finn or Puck.
Question: Any scoop about Calzona in this week’s Grey’s Anatomy? —Marija
Ausiello: Callie’s finally going to crack! That’s the word from costar Kevin McKidd, who directed Thursday’s episode. “[The scenes are] dramatic and quite light,” he told TVLine’s Matt Mitovich. “Basically it’s Callie’s moment to have kind of a meltdown. She hopes that Mark and Arizona can work together and she hopes that they can both be in her life, but she’s anxious. She has all these hormones flying around inside her, like pregnant women do, so she ends up driving her OB doctor [played by Rachael Taylor] to distraction, with very funny but also touching results.”
Question: Any Grey’s Anatomy spoilers on Owen and Cristina — or just Cristina? —Stephanie
Ausiello: According to McKidd, Cristina’s back to “her old scrappy self” this week. “She’s doing anything to trample anyone in her way to get into the OR and cut and get blood on her hands,” he adds. “It’s fun to see her back to her old tricks!” Amen, brother.
Question: Rumor has it (OK, I read it on your Facebook page) that this week’s Ask Ausiello will include a little somethin’-somethin’ special for Firefly fans. Spill it, Aus! —Craig
Ausiello: Did I say fans of Firefly? Sorry, I meant fans of Firefly, Gilmore Girls, Tru Calling, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Battlestar Galactica and approximately 201,735 other TV shows you love or loved. “What the… ?!” you ask. Allow me to answer: Gosh, I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but I have come to a life-changing decision: I’m parting ways with my swag. All the cool stuff – well almost all – I’ve accumulated over my decade-plus career is about to find a new home — yours. How? On Thursday, more than 30 of my most prized possessions will hit the eBay auction block with 100 percent of the proceeds going to my favorite charity, the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. Lest you think I’ll be giving away ‘Til Death erasers and The Swan mirrors, let me tell you — the auction will feature some pieces that are so unbelievably awesome, I’m starting to regret this whole thing as I write this. Among the goodies (greaties?): a jumbo-sized Firefly press kit contained in its own giant gray crate (see photo, right) that Fox sent to critics nine years ago to promote the show’s premiere. Read my lips… er, key strokes: This thing has never been opened! Even I don’t know what the hell is inside! Also up for sale: That breathtaking limited edition, framed Battlestar Galactica Last Supper artwork, actual stationery from the Gilmore Girls‘ Dragonfly Inn set, priceless Buffy swag (see photo, below) and so much more that it’s likely to reduce one of us to tears. (My bet is it’ll be me.) The auction goes live in less than 48 hours, and direct links will be posted on Twitter and Facebook. I’ll also be previewing additional items (wait until you see the Simpsons and Tru Calling pieces) on my Facebook page before then. Unless I change my mind. Which is a definite possibility.
Question: Got anything on Cougar Town to ease the pain of the impending 10-week hiatus? — Richard
Ausiello: Yes! Rita Moreno is joining the show! Well, OK, maybe she isn’t, but tell me when you read the following description of Andy’s mom — who, coincidentally, is currently being cast — she isn’t exactly who you think of. The character in question is a 60-to-70ish Latina (duh) with a personality that’s strong enough to bust daughter-in-law Ellie’s chops and live to tell the tale. Rita Moreno, right? That’s what I thought!
Question: I’ve been going crazy with your Smallville Blind Item and finally have a guess that I haven’t seen here on any other sites: Saturn Girl! Am I right? Mejia
Ausiello: Nope. The answer is ****** K***.
Question: Do you have any more scoop on Chloe and Oliver’s big Smallville moment that you teased about a few weeks back? Is this something fans of the couple will be happy with? Please, you have us dying with anticipation. Any little clue would be appreciated. —Silvia
Ausiello: Too good to spoil. Sorry.
Question: Anything on Desperate Housewives? Will Susan find a donor before she croaks? —Isabel
Ausiello: I can confirm that Susan will in fact find a match. And in quite possibly related news, a recurring Housewives character is headed six feet under.
Question: Any Tyra/Landry scenes in final two Friday Night Lights episodes? —Katie
Ausiello: I can’t bring myself to watch them (maybe this weekend if I can get up the courage), so I threw your question to an FNL insider who has seen the final two eps. Their response? “Unfortunately, no Tyra/Landy scenes.” I’m told Landry does, however, have a nice scene with BFF Matt, so there’s that to look forward to. Overall, FNL‘s final season is more than living up to my high expectations. Last week’s episode — particularly the ending — just wrecked me. I won’t spoil it for those without DirecTV except to say it takes place after a big game.
SPECIAL AA BLIND ITEM: A popular couple on a show you’re nuts about will tie the knot during February sweeps — but there’s a twist, and I’m not telling you what it is. I will, however, reveal that the show in question is Grey’s Anatomy. Or Smallville. Or Gossip Girl. Or Bones. Or Glee. One of those five. Hit the comments with your theories!
Question: Anything on How I Met Your Mother? —Christopher
Ausiello: You already know that John Lithgow is playing Barney’s estranged dad, Jerry. But what you don’t know is that Nancy Travis has been tapped to play his wife (and thus Barney’s stepmom)!
Question: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find a good Supernatural spoiler on Dean. —Kristen
Ausiello: I accept! I accept! Little Ben will attempt to get Dean and Lisa back together using the oldest trick in the book: The bogus emergency!
Question: Now that Greg Grunberg has signed on for that A&E pilot, inquiring minds must know: What exactly is happening with Love Bites? The trailer looked so promising, and I really missed seeing Becki Newton on TV regularly. — Jeff H.
Ausiello: I originally heard NBC was going to burn off the abbreviated first season in the dead of summer. But now the buzz is the once-promising dramedy may never see the light of day. This probably explains why Newton is being flooded with pilot offers as we speak.
Question: Do you have any scoop on Criminal Minds? —Diana
Ausiello: That much-talked-about Glee/Minds crossover (in the loosest sense of the word) is happening! Sources confirm to me exclusively that Finn’s mom (a.k.a. actress Romy Rosemont) is guest-starring in Minds‘ Feb 23 episode as the estranged Aunt of an autistic boy whose parents have gone missing. Bonus spoiler: Thomas Gibson’s Dharma & Greg mother-in-law, Abby O’Neil, is playing the kid’s mom. Oh, and A.J. Cook’s returning to help send off costar Paget Brewster.
Question: How about a Mentalist scoop? Anything about the Rigsby/Van Pelt/O’Loughlin triangle? —Michela
Ausiello: You don’t want to miss the Feb. 10 episode, during which “someone [proposes to] Van Pelt,” reveals EP Bruno Heller, “and Van Pelt says yes.”
Question: I don’t care what anyone says, I love me some Outsourced! Got any intel on the Todd-Tonya-Asha triangle? —Sue P
Ausiello: Let’s ask EP Robert Borden: “In an upcoming episode, we discover that Madhuri reads palms. When she reads Tonya’s palm, Madhuri predicts another woman will come between Todd and Tonya. Tonya immediately suspects Asha even though she is engaged.”
Question: As much as I would love the news that Community got renewed for a third season, I would be OK with just a spoiler right now. —Becca
Ausiello: Abed will serve as Dungeon Master in the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons-themed episode.
Question: House scoop? —Crystal
Ausiello: The POTW in Monday’s episode is none other than Cuddy’s mom (a.k.a. Candice Bergen). But that’s not the interesting part. This is the interesting part: Taub and Martha discover a skeleton (or two) in her closet when they canvas her home looking for medical clues, and one of ‘em is pretty juicy. As the case evolves, House puts Cuddy in the worst possible position, compelling her to go along with one of his most extreme (read: crazy-unethical) plans ever. Meanwhile, facing divorce and hurting for cash, Taub considers a job offer from [spoiler alert].
Question: Can you give us some Michael/Nikita scoop? —Rachel
Ausiello: Would you settle for Michael/Alex instead? I have a gut feeling those two crazy kids will be hooking up soon, something Lyndsy Fonseca would neither confirm nor deny when TVLine’s Megan Masters caught up with her last week. “If something were to happen between Michael an Alex,” she mused, “I think it would take over a few episodes. They wouldn’t just make out.”
Question: I’m hungry for 90210 spoilers! —Michael
Ausiello: The Adrianna-Navid-Silver triangle is about to get ugly with a capital U-G. Rumor around the Peach Pit is that Adrianna finds out about Navid and Silver’s little, um, connection and the little minx retaliates by *w****ing *u* *e* ****y *****! Can you believe it?
Question: Any familiar faces returning to Chuck in these next 11 episodes? —Will
Ausiello: You already know that John Larroquette’s hasbeen spy Roan Montgomery is back next Monday. Beyond that, Mini Anden reappears as Sarah’s former spy chum Carina Miller in the Feb. 14 episode that reunites Sarah with her former A-Team. “They are a wild bunch to say the least,” previews exec producer Chris Fedak of the “Cat Squad,” which is comprised of Anden, Three Rivers‘ Mercedes Masöhn, and Episodes‘ Mircea Monroe. “It’s our homage to Charlie’s Angels.” And later this season, Isaiah Mustafa and Stacy Keibler will reprise their Greta personas in an episode Fedak says “will explain what the whole Greta thing is about.”
Question: Have we seen the last of Jack Coleman on The Office? —Rebecca
Ausiello: No ma’am we sure haven’t. “He’s coming back and Angela is the last one to [figure out he's gay],” says Angela Kinsey with a laugh. “It’s fun because she’s very pious and loves being in this miniature limelight. It’s going to her head. We just read a script where the office is talking about public displays of affection, and Angela says ‘We don’t do anything,’ so it’s the perfect relationship for her.”
