James Marsters talks about his guest starring role in the pilot for the new Hawaii Five-O and working with Alex O'Loughlin. EXCLUSIVE to SpoilerTV from Multipleverses.com Filmed during James panel at the Phoenix Comic Con yesterday.
When last we left Damon he was smooching Elena, or so we (and he) thought until moments later when she whipped out that big butcher knife and let us know she was really Elena's look-a-like, naughty vamp Katherine. So will deceived Damon continue to woo Elena in the upcoming season? "The only thing I can say about them for season two, is that it's going to be a very profound triangle," Julie said rather coyly, though she did drop a few hints. "Damon's still got a long way to go until he's man enough to deserve Elena. But he has a strong pull, a strong draw." But with Katherine stalking Mystic Falls, Julie says to expect more of a "love square." Though I was never good at geometry, that does sound rather intriguing, no?
And speaking of the ancient vampire diva, Julie confirmed that Katherine and Elena are indeed related (unlike in the book series), and that their connection will continue to be revealed. "Our position is very much that the bloodline is the Pierce bloodline. Isobel is part of that, as is Elena. Elena looks like Katherine, they're doppelgangers. That's the big question that will continue to be asked deep into the second season."
Julie and creator Kevin Williamson's overarching goal for season 2 is to integrate the other characters outside of the love triangle, especially Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino). "Tyler is crucial to this mythology," Julie said. "The werewolf element is crucial to this story. Season two is big time about the Lockwoods, so the first thing that happens is Mrs. Lockwood steps in as interim mayor." And if Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) survives (wink, wink), Julie alluded to that fact that he and Tyler could share a strong connection. Another new bromance on the horizon will be Stefan and Matt (Zach Roerig). Yes, Elena's ex and current love will become "true blue" friends.
One character whose screen time shouldn't be counted on is the dearly departed Anna (Malese Jow), who Julie emphatically confirmed is dead. "As far as we're concerned, Anna is no longer in our world. Now, there's flashbacks and all kinds of opportunities in the future, but Anna is dead." But if it's any consolation, the cast and crew were just as bummed about her departure as we were. In fact, when the crew found out she was being killed off they made "Save Anna" T-shirts. How cute!
Here are a few other fun tidbits to sink your teeth into:
-Julie hinted that Stefan, Elena and Jonathan Gilbert may not be the only ones with diaries. "Who knows, maybe Katherine had a journal back in the day," she teased.
-We'll continue to see flashbacks from 1864, but the writers have also brainstormed more current scenes for future seasons. An ongoing joke is Stefan and Damon partying at the now-defunct nightclub Studio 54.
-Ever wondered what happened to that menacing crow that flew around the first few episodes (we did!)? Julie said the crow and fog, which Damon both controlled, seemed a little too supernatural for the show—and that's saying a lot for a series revolving around vampires!
-Julie sometimes has to nix story ideas because they're too similar to things that have happened in "Twilight" or "True Blood," "I'll pitch a story, and [Kevin] will be like, 'No, we can't do it. "True Blood" just did that.'"

Fresh off his wicked-cool 24 comeback, Gregory Itzin has booked a multi-episode arc on the new USA Network drama Covert Affairs as — get this — a good guy!
Sources confirm to me exclusively that Itzin has been cast as Henry Wilcox, the distinguished former Director of Clandestine Services and the father of Sendhil Ramamurthy’s character, Jai.
Additionally, Affairs has recruited ER vet Eriq La Salle — who’s also coming off a brief 24 stint — to guest star as a former East Africa operative who quit the agency after suffering a nervous breakdown. Despite numerous attempts on the CIA’s part to bring him back into the fold, La Salle’s ex-spy has resisted each one.
Affairs, which stars Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham, premieres on July 13

< Betwixt aka Changelings never made it past the pilot stage at the CW but it already has fans rallying to get it picked up by the CW or another network like SYFY. So take the time to sign this petition, the show is from the producer of Jericho so who knows fan magic may work again!
Betwixt / Changelings was a drama about three teenagers who learn of their true, "changeling" nature and their uncertain, intertwined destinies.

Bitch-Back! What's the Goss on Grey's Anatomy?
Dear Ted:
Lots of Grey's Anatomy references lately. Does the TV show match real life more then we know? Does art imitate life? Does Shonda Rhimes not need to write as much made-up stuff 'cause she gets story lines from what's really going on off camera?
—Grey's Romantic
Dear Resuscitated:
While I'm sure at one time Shonda could have gotten plenty of inspiration from her actors' antics, things seem to be quasi-tame behind-the-scenes on the series now. Total shame! And couldn't possibly be related to Katherine Heigl's absence, right? Maybe that's why the finale was so damn good? Returned the drama to where it belongs—onscreen. Plus, the ratings have held steady, so let's hope that means the cast will be, too. You listening, Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo, you total almost dolls?

The second season of Royal Pains kicks off with a bang! The whole crew is back for more action in the Hamptons. The episode starts right where last season left off, and doesn't look back. Relationships between all your favorite twosomes are explored. Evan, Hank, Divya, Jill, and Boris all get ample screen time and all have stories that will carry them through the season. This episode is full of character development, as well as a medical case that will baffle you until the last minute. In addition to a rich and entertaining plot, there is a "New Parts Newberg" mention and a Johnny Cash reference. This second season is shaping up to be as great as the first. Veteran actors Henry Winkler and Marcia Gay Harden join the cast in what is sure to be another great season of HankMed in the Hamptons. This is summer television at it's best.
The second season of Royal Pains premieres Thursday, June 3rd at 10/9C on USA Network.

Rest assured, "Supernatural" fans. The CW and Warner Bros have officially confirmed to Zap2it that fan-favorite actors Misha Collins (Castiel) and Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer) are expected to join Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles on episodes of "Supernatural" next season.
In the Season 5 finale, the both characters were killed -- Castiel exploded like an over-filled water balloon, and Lucifer snapped Bobby's neck. Of course, since this is "Supernatural," they were resurrected minutes later. Castiel headed back to heaven to "be the new sheriff in town," and when Dean and Bobby said goodbye, it was made clear that it was "the last [they] would see of each other for a very long time."
When Season 6 begins, Dean has retired from hunting and, after making a promise to uphold Sam's dying wish, sworn never to go back to that life. Sam, who has somehow escaped from Lucifer's cage, will have to convince him to get back on the road to deal with the aftermath of the battle between Heaven and Hell.
Luckily, they'll have their father figure Bobby on their side, and Castiel's newly-regained angel powers should come in handy as well.

This season has been really hit or miss for me. As the flat relationship between Penny and Leonard took a large portion of the season, the rest was largely Sheldon running around doing crazy things. The writers are fantastic at writing dialogue laced with everything nerdy and playing to the casts strengths, but when it comes to plots, their abilities are really lacking and it showed in all the bland arcs this season.
The third season ends centered on Penny and Leonard who have sex after Penny drinks a little too much. Penny's admission in the end, that Leonard has made her unable to stand dumb guys, is as clear as any indication that more will happen between them and I'm hesitant to say more. The first go around between them wasn't that funny, but it could be better the second time around.
Throughout the episode, Raj and Howard sign Sheldon up for online dating, something that flies in the face of everything Sheldon believes in. Somehow they find a match and it's...a female Sheldon! She's pretty much the exact same as Sheldon was all the various objections and quirks and they seem to get along, as in they aren't fed up with each other. That's a good sign, but something more could happen from this. The episode ends rather abruptly without much development. In some ways, it's like a cliffhanger, dangling out a tidbit for us, but this is a comedy. There wasn't much fulfillment in the end, so we'll have to wait until next season to see what happens. But what are the options? The ending gives no hint. The end of the second season had Penny wishing that Leonard stayed. This time there is nothing.

Her husband is out of prison, but Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) hardly has reason to celebrate. On the season finale of The Good Wife, airing Tuesday at 10/9c on CBS, Alicia must decide whether to stand by her husband Peter (Chris Noth) as he prepares to re-enter the political arena after a sex scandal.
"With Peter's exoneration, the question will turn toward whether politics makes him that way or whether there's something in him himself," series co-creator and executive producer Robert King tells TVGuide.com. "With him possibly wanting to run again, Alicia faces the idea of, 'Even if I do forgive my husband, does that mean that he will always make these same mistakes?'"
Alicia also has to figure out if her heart lies with someone else: her old law school friend and boss Will (Josh Charles). Since their passionate kiss earlier this season, however, Will has met someone else: law student Giada Cabrini (Karen Olivo). "As they've said, they have bad timing," King says.
"We don't want to be so simplistic as to say [Giada] is wrong for him, she's kind of right for him. So the question is, will he move down this route of more commitment with another woman?"
Even if Will chooses Alicia over Giada, Alicia will have to confront new questions about Will and how different he really is (or isn't) from Peter and her past. "Even though he's her boss, does he cut too many ethical corners? Is he some version of her husband?" King says. "It makes her wonder about her own character. Is she always drawn toward the bad boys?"
Although the charges against Peter have been dropped, another factor in the equation is the mounting FBI investigation against Peter and rival Glenn Childs (Titus Welliver). Even worse, Kalinda (Archie Panjabi), Alicia's co-worker and confidant, may decide to testify against both men (she used to work in the state's attorney's office, remember), thanks to increasing pressure from FBI agent Lana Delaney (Jill Flint).
"There will always be that tension that Glenn Childs has something on [Kalinda], but there's also this tension now with the federal investigation. ... We always find Kalinda is best when she's caught in between," King says. "She is someone who is more of a mercenary, she's not committed to one side or another and so people are always pulling at her. And it's not just career, it's also sexually. So we'll see a lot of push and pull regarding her sexual commitment."
King and his co-executive producer, Michelle King, who are married, promise a definitive answer regarding Kalinda's sexuality, a burning question among fans all season. But Robert King warns that, "like any answer, it kind of leads on to the next question."
As for Alicia, her decision could come down to a third option: none of the above. "So much of the show announces itself as this love triangle, when in fact, maybe the best thing for Alicia altogether is to say, 'Screw this,'" King says. "Part of her rebuilding her personality and her self-worth is this idea that she doesn't need somebody else. That is one of the questions of this season and next season."

True Blood: Season 3 - Bill Minisode

Rizzoli and Isles - A Conversation with Creator and Executive Producer Janet Tamaro
How were you first introduced to Jane Rizzoli & Maura Isles?
Tamaro: Writers are drawn to what is both relevant to them and to what is universal. I wanted to do a series with female leads because, let’s face it, I’m a girl. I’d written on many shows that have been created by men. Hey, I like men, and I’m not saying men can’t write female characters because then I’d have no business writing male characters. BUT I think women have a secret language (just as men do) that only other women are privy to. I was in the process of developing a cop show with two strong, smart, electric female leads who were not desperate, not good wives, not catty jerks. Two women who were complicated and very different – but who were also friends. I never got a chance to finish that pilot because something better happened. In walked Bill Haber, legendary producer and former CAA agent, who had the rights to Tess Gerritsen’s novels The Apprentice and The Surgeon. He’s wildly persuasive, and was wonderfully enthusiastic about both my writing and Tess’s novels. Once I read the books, I knew there was a compelling drama – and an equally compelling relationship between Detective Jane Rizzoli and Dr. Maura Isles. Tess Gerritsen has become a friend during this process. Both of us love these characters that she “birthed” and I’m grateful to her because she’s been very generous and let me play with them as television characters.
What attracted you to the idea of bringing Jane and Maura to television?
Okay, this part is not fun to relate. Out of tragedy, there are lessons. My best friend of 16 years was killed in a car accident a year and a half ago. She was there when I had my children. I was there when she had hers. She was a professional, doing the same nutty juggling act I do. And she was the one I turned to, even more than my husband, to get through a complicated work and home life because she “got” it in a way that no one else could. Her life was similar. Without her to bounce ideas off of and have a drink with and yes, sometimes cry and bitch to each other and unload, I found myself facing an enormous void in my life. I think about her all the time, and I think she would’ve loved these two women. And she would’ve been proud of me and supportive. What I have now is a fictional relationship, and believe it or not, it helps. It’s a privilege to channel all that she was to me into this extraordinary friendship between Jane and Maura.
There’s also something about their relationship which I see in the world but not on television. Not enough anyway: two smart, strong, competent women who instinctively drop the protective shield when they’re with each other. One of my favorite scenes in the pilot is when Jane is being targeted by a serial killer. Maura says, “You’re very brave.” Jane responds, “No, I’m just tired of being afraid.” That level of honesty speaks to a layered, interesting character. Jane and Maura want to understand each other. They’re also not afraid to disagree with each other because they are good friends, not competitors.
The world of Boston Homicide is still dominated by men. I mean, really dominated. Up to 100%... The detectives we’ve met and worked with are wonderful, but all of them are men. Women weren’t “invited” to be homicide detectives in Boston until 1988. There are usually no more than two female detectives in the department. Sometimes, like in our fictional world, there is only one. The detectives also work closely with the Boston Chief Medical Examiner’s Office, Dr. Maura Isles’ world. That, too, is mostly male. It piqued my interest to have two women with different skills working together to solve homicides and turning to each other when necessary.
What makes Jane and Maura unique among television crime-solvers?
Neither has any super powers – and that’s what I like about them. Jane is a blue collar cop who wears her heart on her sleeve. She’s a natural cop with her failsafe gut, deep understanding of human nature, ability to observe and unravel clues others miss. But she also retains a kind-of childlike enthusiasm and fearlessness as she plunges headlong into her cases.
Maura is a well-educated M.D. who spent much of her childhood at elite European boarding schools. But Maura is also a complex mix. She is far more comfortable with the dead than the living. Her powers of observation turn to the micro. As she looks for forensic clues, she is fascinated by all that she knows – and can’t know – about the human brain and body. The reason she is so stylish in her couture clothing is not because she likes labels. She pays attention to what a human mind can create: cars, buildings, computers, machines, a fitted suit with a hand-sewn, blind hem. She unwittingly amuses Jane because she’s straightforward and guileless in a wonky kind of way. Maura says what she thinks and backs it up with science or even a mathematical equation without thinking through the emotional consequences.
That Jane and Maura are so different and yet so effective as a team makes them endearing, compelling and unpredictable.
What do you hope people come away with after watching RIZZOLI & ISLES?
Each week, our mission is to set up a great mystery. We want all the armchair sleuths out there (of which I am one) to lean forward and assess all the clues and try to unravel the complicated puzzle we’ve set up. I like to be both amused and scared when I watch a one-hour drama, so RIZZOLI & ISLES is packed with both suspense and humor. We recognize no genre has been exploited as much as the cop drama, which is why it’s important to us to give viewers a delicious and unexpected surprise in the middle of a beloved procedural structure. Solve the mystery, catch the bad guy and be amused. Along the way, we hope to make you fall in love with these people.

In a huge vote of confidence for the zeitgeist-cracking drama, Fox has ordered a third season of Glee from Ryan Murphy Television and 20th Century Fox TV, EW has learned exclusively.
Season-to-date, Glee is the No. 1 new scripted series among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34, and has averaged 9.4 million total viewers. During its spring telecasts, the musical dramedy, starring Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, and Lea Michele, averaged a 5.6/14 among 18-49 and 13.3 million viewers. It wraps its first season on Tuesday, June 8. “In just one year, Glee has transcended the television landscape and emerged as a global pop culture phenomenon,” said Peter Rice, the Fox Networks Group Entertainment Chairman, in a statement.
Added Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly, “Everything about Glee – from the concept to the characters to the marketing – has been innovative and risky, but with [series creator] Ryan Murphy tapping into the zeitgeist, the risk has paid off with this truly remarkable series. Glee has one of the most active, devoted fan bases I’ve ever seen, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to give Gleeks a third season of their favorite show.”
Murphy also released the following statement: “It’s been a whirlwind year – from shooting the pilot to performing at the White House to the concert tour that began last week – and yet we all feel like we’ve just begun this amazing musical journey. We think our Gleeks worldwide are going to love what we’ll have in store for them in seasons two and three.”
Along with the positive message it sends about the network’s commitment to the show, there are numerous financial benefits to giving a series like Glee a two-year pickup. Not only does it help cut production costs over the long haul, it allows Murphy and his writers a chance to plan ahead (if not breathe a much-needed sigh of relief). Most important, it gives the studio a head start in taking the episodes out into the syndication marketplace. Promising new dramas like NCIS: LA and The Mentalist, for example, sold in syndication in their first and second years, respectively.
In the next original episode, airing on May 25, Glee will feature the music of Lady Gaga when Will (Morrison) encourages the glee club members to express themselves using the pop superstar’s music. Meanwhile, Rachel (Michele) has a life-changing encounter, and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) embraces her inner goth.
The second season of Glee, which has already earned a Peabody, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild award, will kick off this fall on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.

In season 2, the Stefan/Elena/Damon will evolve into a Stefan/Katherine/Elena/Damon quadrangle and surprisingly it will be Stefan, NOT Damon, who will be the most affected by Katherine's return: it will turn out he's not as over her as he thought he was. Elena will come to come to terms with the fact that she may have developed feelings that are more than friendly towards Damon. Damon, on the other hand, will be busy devising a plan with the Council of the Founding Fathers to take down Katherine.
And yes, werewolves will be introduced next season and one of them (probably Tyler?) will connect with a certain witch (Bonnie?) while trying to deal with how to cope with their supernatural abilities.

The transcript is after the cut.
Review - The Big Bang Theory Season 3 Episode 22 The Staircase Implementation
How did Leonard become Sheldon's roommate and why are they still roommates? Those are probably questions viewers ask whenever there is the ubiquitous episode of Sheldon being ticked off at something. Well, "The Staircase Implementation" answered those questions and more.
Most of the episode was plotless, recapping Leonard first meeting Sheldon are learning about every quirk and requirement Sheldon has. After passing a series of tests, Leonard signs an agreement to live with Sheldon and Leonard, Raj, and Howard go, for the first time ever, through Sheldon's gauntlet of irrational rationalities and realize Sheldon is insane.
However, the positives did come out in the end. For one, Sheldon did save Leonard from sleeping with a North Korean spy, and in the looong story about how the elevator became broken, Sheldon saves Leonard's life after Leonard puts rocket fuel in Howard's model rocket.
And Sheldon hating Babylon 5? All I can say is screw you. I'll agree that the dialogue and acting sucked, but the storytelling was better than that of TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise. Also, what network airs Babylon 5 these days?
On a programming note, it looks like everything from the past year was deleted, so I can't find any of my old recaps. If anyone copied my old recaps (I don't know why you would) or find archived recaps for Burn Notice, Royal Pain, Dark Blue, and The Big Bang Theory, please send me an email or contact me on Twitter.

UPDATE: Deadline is contradicting Eonline stating that HMS still has "minimal life" same for Nomads.
The LA Times and Eonline confirmed these two pilot to be dead. Betwixt / Changelings was also confirmed dead earlier. It looks like Hellcats and Nikita will be the only new series on the CW unless Nomads pulls a miracle midseason order as the CW has no other pilots.
Deadline reports the supernatural series BeTwixt aka Changelings is dead. Such a shame it looked so much more promising than the other pilots and had good reviews, HMS and Nomads may still have a small chance at a midseason order.
The CW considered BeTwixt / Changelings to be "too dark with limited room for expansion" , hard to market and had other plans with The Vampire Diaries leadin.

The cast of Community shares some secrets about Thursday's season finale. Or... not.
You know Paul Reiser? The dude from the 90s show, "Mad About You," with Helen Hunt? He played her husband?
Yeah, well, he's back with his own sitcom. Starring him. As himself.
A single camera comedy -- which Reiser is also writing and producing along with Jonathan Shapiro ("Life") -- the show will follow a fictional version of Reiser (think Larry David on "Curb Your Enthusiasm") as he lives a normal life, post TV fame.
The hilarity which ensues will include Reiser's buddies -- his wife's friends' husbands, his kids' friends' dads -- whom, with him, make up a horrendous basketball team.
The cast of characters includes Ben Shenkman of "Angels in America" as Jonathan, Omid Djalili of "The Infidel" as Habib, Duane Martin of "All of Us" as Fernando and Andrew Daly of "MADtv" as Brad.
Take a look...
