Thanks to Ina Bozhilova for the heads up.
After a five-week hiatus, Ugly Betty takes back its Thursday perch tonight with the first of five all-new episodes. To mark the occasion, series creator Silvio Horta -- who on Monday was honored with the Courage Award from the Point Foundation (great organization, check it out) -- gave me permission to interrogate him about all things Ugly, including Henry's return, Christina's exit, Justin's sexuality, and, yes, Betty's braces.
Are you looking at Matt and Betty as a long-term couple?
SILVIO HORTA: As long-term as it gets in TV. As with any romance, there will be obstacles as well as some misunderstandings before the finale, and it's going to lead to some juicy stuff next year. Matt's going to be around and their relationship is going to be changing and growing.
How significantly will Henry's return threaten their relationship?
HORTA: They've both moved on, but they obviously are still an important part of each others' lives and that's going to become a complication. There's going to be feelings of insecurity on Matt's side, and there are some unresolved things between Henry and Betty.
Speaking of Betty's exes, might we see Gio again?
HORTA: Potentially, but there are no plans at this point.
Will the issue of Justin's sexuality be addressed next season?
HORTA: Yeah, we're going to explore stuff. He'll be going to high school and getting older, so we'll definitely be exploring that.
Will Marc find love after Cliff?
HORTA: We've been discussing it. We haven't started breaking the exact stories for next year, but that's one of the things we've really talked about. We want to see [Marc and Amanda's] love lives.
How would you characterize Ashley Jensen's departure? Was it mutual?
HORTA: It was mutual. She's amazing. From the get-go, we found some really good stories for her, but we never found enough to service her character the way we wanted to and the way she wanted to. She wanted to do more, but it was [difficult] with a large ensemble like this to give her more. I hope in the future she'll come back. She's an important part of the show.
Will Christina get a satisfying send-off?
HORTA: She will. Next week's episode will [set things in motion] with Wilhelmina's baby – or her supposed baby – and it's going to lead to a lot of complications.
Ana Ortiz gives birth in June. Will we see less of Hilda at the start of next season due to her maternity leave?
HORTA: We may write her a little lighter in the beginning, but we're not writing her out or anything.
Who is Rachel Dratch playing in the finale?
HORTA: She's playing a dual role. She's playing Penny Meadows, an editor at Mode, and she's also playing Mindy Meadows, her twin sister. It's a one-time guest stint, but she was great.
The most asked Ugly Betty question from my readers: When is Betty getting her braces off?
HORTA: Her braces will be off by the end of next season. Next year, there's going to be a progression in her look overall. It'll still be Betty, but you'll see some growth in that direction.

STORY LINE
When Michael finds out he's being stalked by a group of vengeful but mysterious Ukrainians, he turns to JAMES BECK, an importer of hijacked cargo with ties to Eastern Europe. Unfortunately, before the uncooperative Beck can help, Michael is kidnapped, along with Beck, by his adversaries, who turn out to be working for the Russian PYOTR CHECHIK, a ruthless Russian mobster who is not a fan of Michael's...
[JAMES BECK] Male, 40s, African American, a hard-core, intimidating, well-dressed man, Beck is a successful truck hijacker who ships his stolen cargo to the highest bidder; as Fiona puts it, he's "like FedEx for the caviar and Kalishnikov set." Well-connected in Eastern Europe, Beck is more of a businessman than a thug, and he's not happy when Michael, who's learned that some Ukrainians are after him, tries to befriend him for some information. He's even less happy when he's kidnapped along with Michael by the Ukrainians, who assume he and Michael are partners. Furious at being reliant upon Michael's survival skills as they flee their pursuers through Florida swampland, Beck would prefer to just shoot as many people as he can to get himself out of the situation, but he's forced to concede that Michael's plans are generally better than his own when it comes to staying alive. Ultimately wounded when one of his own schemes goes awry, Beck is kept alive by Michael's efforts, and in the end admits to a grudging respect for him...LARGE GUEST STAR (7)
[PYOTR CHECHIK] Male, Russian, 35-55 years old, MUST SPEAK WITH AN AUTHENTIC RUSSIAN ACCENT. A mobster/warlord the leader of a criminal syndicate, powerful, ruthless, smart, "bad temper; good shot," Chechik had a bad run-in with Michael some years ago, has finished fifteen years in prison, and is now going after him with an army in tow. A man who seems to enjoy the hunt, Chechik follows Michael and Beck through a Florida swamp, where he taunts Michael over a two-way radio, explaining to him how his business has changed from provincial to international, providing him a "Ukrainian team, Hungarian weapons, Russian funding." A crafty and tenacious enemy, Chechik ultimately proves no match for Michael.sptv050769..GUEST STAR (31)

All is not entirely well with the Oceanside Wellness gang as ABC's Private Practice serves up its second season finale this Thursday at 10 pm/ET. As Addison fights her feelings for married dad-to-be Noah and one of their own "betrays" the practice, pregnant Violet is thrust to a genuinely shocking set of circumstances. Amy Brenneman spoke with TVGuide.com about where her complicated shrink has been and where she is about to go.
TVGuide.com: First off, congratulations on the Season 3 pick-up. Were you concerned at all?
Amy Brenneman: Uh, no. No. Not really. It would have been odd if we didn't [get picked up].
TVGuide.com: How do you think Violet has changed since Season 1? Was there anything you had hoped for or asked for?
Brenneman: In Season 1 we met Violet at a pretty heightened point in her life, and I always thought she's not go to stay in this place of feel jilted and hysterical. I told [series creator] Shonda [Rhimes], "Listen, I will do whatever you want to do, go as far out as you want me to go, as long as Violet can always have that moment of being self-aware." I always find it heartbreaking that she's a professional shrink, but that doesn't mean she can stop her [destructive] behavior. And the revelation about the sexual damage in her life - the rape stuff - makes total sense too. That kind of feeds into what's go on with her now. She doesn't bond romantically well or that often. Obviously Cooper is her surrogate everything.
TVGuide.com: They did a nice job this season evolving Charlotte into a worthy rival for Cooper's affections.
Brenneman: I totally agree. I think that between KaDee [Strickland]'s work and Paul [Adelstein], who is so wonderful... . The way he looks at her says it all. Cooper is just smitten.
TVGuide.com: What was your reaction when you learned Violet would be pregnant for a large portion of this season?
Brenneman: I was excited!
TVGuide.com: No small vane part of you was saying, "Oh, man"?
Brenneman: My god no, I'll do anything! I should have more vanity. [Laughs] What I did think of was how on Judging Amy I hid two of my actual pregnancies; can I ever be pregnant at the same time?! Last year Shonda and I were sitting around shooting the s--t — at the time, Addison was facing fertility issues, and Naomi already is a mom — and I said, "I would love it if Violet did not want to be a mother." Because I feel that is a choice that is not respected in society. Then I said to Shonda, "Then that's the character you should knock up."
TVGuide.com: Tim Daly has grumbled that this storyline sent a confusing message, that most women would kill to have two great guys clamoring to be the father of their child.
Brenneman: Oh, that's just his ego. I've heard him spout off about that too. [Laughs] Tim is a total feminist — I would kick his ass if he wasn't — but sometimes when he reacts to things it's because the genders are reversed. We don't find it shocking if you have a man ambivalent about two wonderful women vying for him...
TVGuide.com: But a pregnant woman with two wannabe dads is supposed to thank her lucky stars.
Brenneman: I guess! I said to Tim, "She is self-sufficient, she gets her emotional needs met through Cooper, so she's not asking anything from Sheldon and Pete." I understand it can be upsetting from the guy's point of view — "That may be half my kid" — but it's the woman's prerogative.
TVGuide.com: At the time Private Practice was cast, you already knew Tim well from working with his sister [Tyne Daly] on Judging Amy?
Brenneman: Oh yeah. Can you tell? [Laughs]
TVGuide.com: What was your reaction to the season finale script, especially Violet's storyline?
Brenneman: I was pretty psyched. Everybody does great work and the stakes for everybody are really high. That said, what's interesting about the structure of the last half is everybody else is sort of in the normal Private Practice world, and I'm in this Quentin Tarantino movie. It's a whole other thing going on.
TVGuide.com: Talk about ending the season with some watercooler buzz.
Brenneman: There you go!

Thanks to Ina Bozhilova for the heads up.
Apologies in advance for perpetuating an overused pun, but Dexter's fourth season sounds, well, killer.
When the Showtime hit returns next fall, six months will have lapsed on screen, leaving newlyweds Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and Rita (Julie Benz) the proud parents of a baby boy. "This season, we're going to deal with: Can a serial killer juggle a personal life, work, and his 'dark passenger'?" reveals executive producer Sara Colleton. "In other words, can Dexter have it all? Which is something all of us grapple with every day of our lives. So we're taking something that is a very human dilemma and putting it through the prism of Dexter's special needs."
Further complicating Dexter's intricate balancing act will be a new, as-yet-uncast male antagonist who will "cross paths with Dexter in a major, dramatic way," teases Colleton. "He will illuminate a lot about Dexter's life and force him to make some tough choices." (Word is they're looking for a "Jeff Daniels-type" to play the role.)
Meanwhile, Dex's plucky sister, Deb (played by Hall's real-life wife, Jennifer Carpenter), will unwittingly threaten to shed light on his dark secret. "All the way through the season, Deb -- in her need to know her father more -- is going to get closer and closer to figuring out who Dexter's mother was and her relationship with her father," says Colleton. So might the day come when Dex is forced to slice and dice her? "That is inconceivable to me," declares Colleton. "Deb and Dexter are the best brother-and-sister team ever." One could even call them...killer. (Sorry again!)

Ugly Betty" returns tonight and I'd say the episode is pretty close to top form. The only thing missing is a few really solid Wilhelmina/Marc zingers. But the "UB" world will warm up your Thursday night regardless... even if Mode is close to bankruptcy. I mean, Betty's still with the rich boyfriend, so all's well on that end.
Yep, Daniel and Willy are taking the bus, while Betty's traveling in style, getting dropped off at work in a limo these days. I mean, she's still same old Betty with her technicolor dream coats... and belts and stockings and shoes. She's sort of a sight for sore eyes, actually.
And you need not worry about Mode, since B -- after seeing one of her friends get fired -- will risk her relationship with richy Rich (aka Matt) to save the company.
But she isn't the only one making sacrifices. Daniel will give his own dignity away in exchange for Mode's financial security. Have you seen the bunny suit?
So, yeah, I'm glad "Betty" is back. I think you will be too. There's some good stuff coming as we power towards next month's season ender...
Baby William? Though tonight's paternity test supposedly states that he is, in fact, Wilhelmina's kid, that case so ain't closed. Be prepared to see big Willy returning to her signature scheming ways in the weeks ahead.
A Meade Wedding? Yep. Someone with that last name will tie the knot soon. Not Claire. No, Bradford won't rise from the beyond. And Alexis is still M.I.A. and will remain so. Uh, Daniel! It's Daniel! Do I have to spell everything out?
A Love Rectangle? As you may have already heard, Henry (Chris Gorham) is back in New York, and though he's got a new girl, his flame for BS hasn't been extinguished...
Excited?

Ugly Betty is back better than ever this Thursday with kidnapping, blackmail, baby drama and even a wedding and a possible funeral in store for the final five eps of the season.
First up on tomorrow night's "Rabbit Test" episode, Wilhelmina Slater (Vanessa Williams) finds out that she may not be the biological mother of baby William. For those not keeping up, here's the deal: Wilhelmina's egg and publishing king Bradford Meade's sperm were implanted into surrogate Christina McKinney (the seamstress) to produce the golden child of publishing and help secure the diva's standing in the company. Oh, and the baby was delivered on a runway!
"That's what she thought happened," Vanessa tells us, "but it turns out that it's not what it appears. And it jeopardizes Wilhelmina's standing at the company, and her livelihood is at stake. But she is a fighter, and she will continue to hold her ground and stay at the top no matter what threats are made and what consequences happen."
Read on if you don't mind a few spoilers, but if you do, then the buck stops here for you.
More baby drama ensues as little William gets kidnapped in the next episode, "The Born Identity," on May 7. "That gets resolved rather quickly," says Vanessa. "It goes in a different direction, and she doesn't end up being a mommy for long."
With her baby problems aside, it's back to what Wilhelmina knows best: conniving, blackmailing and jockeying for position. "My next blackmail up is Claire Meade," says Vanessa. "Yes, it's back to Claire again. I get more dish on her. The angles in which [my character] tries to deceive and connive are hilarious and funny, and the situations that she puts herself into are outside the box. There is a scene where she sings with Christine Baranski's character [Yes, Christine is back for more eps as Matt's mother...the same Matt who's Betty's boyfriend!] while fishing for information from her."
In "In the Stars" on May 14, two wedding proposals are made, but only one is seen to fruition. "Betty and Matt are not the ones walking down the aisle, though Matt is in the finale. And, it's not Hilda and Archie," says Vanessa. That, of course leaves Daniel Meade and his cancer-stricken girlfriend, Molly. "That's right," she says, "and I can tell you that Adele sings at the wedding."
With rumors swirling that Molly loses her battle to cancer, one can only think that the new bride kicks the bucket after the wedding. "I can't tell you everything," says Vanessa. "She does get very sick."
Along with Adele, other upcoming guests on these episodes include tennis queen Billie Jean King (who plays tennis with Christine Baranski's character) and The View's Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck (who have Daniel Meade on the show in part two of the two-part finale, "Curveball," on May 21).
Are you as happy as we are that Ugly Betty is back and better than ever? Sound off in the comments below.

Re: Motley Crue guest-starring in the season finale
“Motley Crue man, yeah. My, my 15-year-old male self was freaking out. Was, was very jealous of me. I don’t know, I don’t know what that means but I did feel like I should be a 15-year-old boy or something. Yeah it was pretty crazy to have Motley Crew on set. Very different, very different. I would never dreamed that I would have Motley Crue on the set of Bones, in my wildest dreams, so pretty crazy. Or Stewie from The Family Guy that’s almost more crazy.”
Re: The season finale is not your usual "Bones" episode
“Yes, very different. I’m not allowed to talk about it that much. I mean I, I can only reveal certain things but yeah you definitely see different sides of Booth and Brennan and all of the characters really. It’s a great episode that brings back a lot of characters that people have seen and really like from past episodes and brings them all together. But there’s, you know, kind of unique situations so it brings out different sides of people. And you know lots of twists and turns, and Motley Crue’s in there and, it’s almost like a film noir kind of episode.”
Re: Booth and Brennan finally getting into bed together
“Well, I mean you know in the final episode Booth and Brennan are in bed together and we shot that already, but I think it will happen in a way that will surprise people and at the same time will be very much Booth and Brennan. You know there’s humor, there’s passion, there’s, there’s romance but you know it’s very much in the vein of our show and the characters’ relationship. And so, it’s pretty different. And I think that it’s done in a way that doesn’t, you know, totally ruin the sexual tension for future episodes. It will definitely make things more interesting and add a whole new element to our relationship in the future but it’s not done in a way that dissipates our sexual tension. And so that’s a, you know that’s what I was concerned about and I think everybody was concerned. So I think it’s successful in that way”.
Re: how the season finale will affect things going into next season
“I’ve heard many little things about Season 5. You know they’re just beginning to write that now so you know I know less than what they know and they don’t know very much. So I know kind of because it ends with a kind of cliffhangerish thing. I know a little bit what happens after that but it’s hard for me to talk about it without people having seen the episode. But definitely Booth and Brennan will have a new dynamic the beginning of Season 5. As you would imagine since we end up, we’re in bed together in the end of Season 4 but it will, we will have a whole new dynamic the beginning of Season 5. Our relationship will change”
Re: will we continue to see the post-Zack intern rotation next season?
“Yeah, I believe so. I think we’re going to continue that for a little while. You know at a certain point we might need to make a decision but for now, we are, I think everyone’s enjoying having these different characters coming through and the, the different elements that they bring to each episode. And it’s great, all of the different Zack replacements, if you want to call them, squints, squints, rotating squints, they’re all in the – or not all but a lot of them are in the finale along with Zack and so that’s fun to have all of them together.”

Hey All,
Here is the latest little tidbit for Season 4's Volume 5 plot. Not that this is anything too shocking, but according to Ausiello at EW, Tracy's storyline will be the "centerpiece" of the new volume.
Enjoy Tracy (Ali Larter) fans!!
Question: You were right: The Heroes finale was fantastic. Any scoop on season 4? --Eric
Ausiello: Tracy's whole revenge arc will serve as a centerpiece of next fall's "Redemption" volume.

Question: Any news on the upcoming season of Dexter? --Rosalie
Ausiello: Production on season 4 starts May 28 and, if all goes according to plan, new episodes will begin airing this fall. Spoiler-wise, six months will have lapsed on-screen between the finale and the premiere, which means the birth of Dexter and Rita's son will have already happened.
Question: Okay, Ausiello, tell me the truth. Is the person being killed off in the season finale of Law & Order: SVU listed in the opening credits? --Geoff.
Ausiello: No.
Question: I know Weeds started filming season 5 recently so you've got to know something! I need to know what's up with Nancy. --Brandy
Ausiello: Her health may be going to pot. Producers are auditioning thirtysomething actresses to play Nancy's trusted doctor on a recurring basis. Of course, the fact that the role is calling for tasteful nudity and simulated sex makes me wonder if Nancy will be playing doctor with her doctor.
Question: Any news on what we can expect from the new season of Entourage? --Deirdre
Ausiello: The other man currently destroying Robert and Kitty's marriage on Brothers & Sisters, Matt Letscher, has been cast as the TV exec overseeing Drama's show.
Question: Please, please, please have some good scoop for The Office. I feel like it has been forever since we have learned something new. --Matt
Ausiello: Here's what you already know: Everyone (including Amy Ryan's Holly) gathers together for Dunder Mifflin's annual company picnic. Here's what you don't know: The episode ends with a doozy of a twist, the repercussions of which will be felt well into next season.
Question: I am dying here. Do you have anything on 90210. --Shay
Ausiello: Interesting choice of words. Makes me wonder what Jim Walsh is up to. I hear we may find out in the finale.
Question: You're funny! Will Luke Grimes be a regular cast member next season on Brothers & Sisters? --Henri.
Ausiello: Yes, I can confirm that I am funny. Oh, wait, that wasn't a question. My bad. Re: Grimes, I believe making him a series regular was the plan, but that may change in light of growing Ryan backlash. Personally, I have no problem with the actor. It's the way they're writing him that irks me. His creepy obsession with Rebecca was bad enough, but now he's teaming up with Holly to take down the Walkers? And the fact that the writers allowed their sharpest character -- Sarah -- to fall for it hook, line, and sinker is unforgivable. Can you tell I'm a little down on B&S these days?
Question: What is your gut feeling on Chuck's chances of renewal? --MD
Ausiello: After watching the finale, my gut feeling is that Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak left NBC with absolutely no choice but to bring it back for a third season.
Question: I'm writing you as I watch Ugly Betty film a scene outside the Woolworth Building, which doubles as Meade Publications Headquarters on the show. It looks like someone important has fallen from the building and onto a car. Who is it?! --Rachel
Ausiello: Let's ring-up executive producer Sylvio Horta and find out! (And by "ring-up" I mean conduct the interview I had previously arranged through ABC that just happened to coincide with your eyewitness report.) "Yes, someone plummets to their death in the season finale," Horta confirms. "It will play a big role in the plot."
Question: When will Alpha be unmasked on Dollhouse? --Art
Ausiello: This Friday!

Question: Scoop on Gossip Girl please. --Bri
Ausiello: First, a correction about something I said last week. Turns out, Chuck does not try and sabotage Blair's campaign for prom queen. It's actually just the opposite.
Question: Any Gossip Girl season finale scoop? --Patricia
Ausiello: The episode revolves around the gang trying to smoke out Gossip Girl.

Two new shows hitting NBC this summer include Merlin and The Listener.
Merlin is a 13-part series that updates the story of the sorcerer of Arthurian legend in the mythical city of Camelot. The show premieres Sunday, June 21 @8pm.
The Listener centers on Toby Logan, a 25-year-old paramedic who has a big secret -- he's a telepath. The show premieres Thursday, June 4 @10pm.
Also, part of their summer line-up will include 2 mini-series, Meteor and The Storm.
In "Meteor," two massive rocks -- tumbling debris older than the solar system itself -- collide in space. The course has been altered. The target is Earth. The mini-series will air Sunday, June 7 and June 14 @9pm.
In "The Storm," billionaire Robert Terrell has fulfilled a lifelong obsession and made history with "weather creation" technology though his Atmospheric Research Institute. But during a test run, a blast of energy is sent into the ionosphere with unexpected results. The mini-series will air Sunday, July 19 and Sunday, July 26 @9pm.

Thanks to Ina Bozhilova for the heads up.
It may not be a game-changer along the lines of last year's five-year time jump, but this should still get the kids talking: Desperate Housewives will conclude its season on May 17 with a surprise wedding, sources confirm to me exclusively. The nuptials are so top secret that even members of the show's cast and crew don't know who's walking down the aisle. "People are being told on a need-to-know basis," whispers a Housewives insider. "Marc [Cherry] doesn't want a repeat of last year when the flash-forward thing leaked." His hard-line approach seems to be working: I don't have the foggiest idea who's getting hitched. I do, however, have a few theories...
Susan and Jackson
Why Them? Gale Harold's Jackson returns from Siberia this Sunday and promptly pops the question to Susan. Yes, that question.
Why Not Them? Too obvious, for one. Also, can you think of a less exciting way to end the season than with a Susan-Jackson wedding? Cherry's got to be thinking bigger. Like...
Susan and Mike
Why Them? Considering they're both otherwise engaged (quite literally, perhaps), no one would see it coming. And it's going to happen eventually, so why not now? Well, because…
Why Not Them? … Cherry wants to wait. “This is the traditional problem in doing soap operas is that happily married couples are the death of drama,” he told fans earlier this month at PaleyFest '09. “Right now it’s interesting exploring a relationship between these two divorced characters and their child. But if [ABC] makes deals with all of us, it looks like we’ll get a few more years to play this out and I would imagine at some point in the continuum Susan and Mike will find their way back together."
Mike and Katherine
Why Them? Dana Delany recently hinted to us that there may be "wedding bells on the horizon" for the pair. Plus, what better way to prolong the inevitable Mike-Susan reunion than by marrying him off to another woman?
Why Not Them? The all-too-obvious factor comes into play here as well. As we saw in the promo for this Sunday's episode, MJ conveniently broaches the subject of a Mike-Katherine wedding in front of his dad.
Kevin and Lee
Why Them? With the debate over gay marriage hotter than ever (thanks Miss California!), it would certainly be timely.
Why Not Them? Zzzzz…...
Carlos and Lynette
Why Them? He saw her naked -- and he liked it! More importantly, this would definitely qualify as a surprise.
Why Not Them? Two couples would have to get divorced first, and it's my understanding that the finale is only two hours long. Also, it's one thing to get people talking over the summer, but it's quite another if the words they're saying are "jump the shark."
Bree and Karl
Why Them? This Sunday, Bree hires Karl to represent her in her divorce from Orson. Will one thing lead to another? (Hint: Yep!) Marrying these two off would surely stir up a little conflict between Bree and Susan.
Why Not Them? Jumping into another marriage so soon after Orson would be out of character for Bree. And would she really do that to Susan?
Dave and Mrs. McCluskey
Why Them? Because I'm in a silly mood today and the thought of these two canoodling in bed together makes me giggle.
Why Not Them? Not everyone shares my unique sense of humor. There's also the fact that he's a psycho killer.
Who do you think the bride and groom will be? Cast your votes in the comments section below!

Man, the Coreys are going to be pissed they didn't get this.
Actor-slash-"Jessie's Girl" crooner Rick Springfield has signed on to play himself in four episodes of Californication, sources confirm to me exclusively.
As I tweeted earlier this month, producers of the Showtime dramedy put out a casting call looking for "an actor who experienced huge fame in the 80's to play themselves as a now down-on his-luck-ex-celebrity waiting tables to get by."
Props to Springfield for having the guts to poke a little fun at himself. And for being down with the "tasteful nudity" and "simulated sex" that I'm told the role requires. (That noise you hear is millions of middle-aged General Hospital fans squealing, "We're going to see Dr. Drake's naughty bits!")

When I say "Veronica Mars," I'm of course referring to Kristen Bell, the actress who played her. Seems the former WB/CW star, who narrates "Gossip Girl" -- and does a damn good job, in my opinion -- wants to emerge from behind-the-camera to play some sort of bit part.
"I've pitched [executive producer] Josh Schwartz a couple of times for me to be on camera as a waitress or something but he wasn't buying it," K.B. reportedly told the NY Daily news. "Hopefully he'll change his mind in the future!"
What do you think? Could you see Ms. Bell on the Upper East Side? Any thoughts on where or how exactly she'd fit in?
My suggestion: Grad student/TA at NYU who gives Blair a hard time. Or is that too much like the Ms. Carr storyline? Well, what if she then ends up making out with Nate? ...oh, wait, that's... never mind.

Will there be a Georgina-Blair face-off before the Gossip Girl season finale? I would love to see that!
MICKEY: Who wouldn't? That said, Georgina's reappearance has more to do with fluffy-bunny Serena's recent turn toward the dark side than it does with Blair's ridonk "Nate's going to Columbia, which is on the West Side, oh my!" storyline. Call me cynical, but I'm not convinced by perpetual con-woman G's spiritual awakening; she's got more than a rosary up those sleeves.

ABC is in talks to renew Scrubs for a ninth season, but one stumbling block is the availability of original cast members, none of whom have deals beyond this current season.
Both Zach Braff and Judy Reyes have said that this is their final year on the show, though Braff as of late has hinted he might be game for the occasional drop-by.
Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn this spring all booked pilots which, if picked up, get first priority. In such a scenario, Turk, Dr. Cox and Janitor would at most be recurring characters.
Sarah Chalke, who recently filmed the Lifetime miniseries Maneater, has in interviews left open the door for a return.
A salvaged Scrubs also could focus on new interns introduced this year and played by Sonal Shah, Eliza Coupe, Betsy Beutler and Todd Bosley.
In addition to cast concerns, there is the matter of (of course) money — namely. how low a licensing fee ABC can pay Scrubs producer ABC Studios for another season.
Series creator Bill Lawrence is said to be heavily involved in the renewal talks, even though he, too, has a new project on deck — the Courteney Cox-fronted comedy pilot Cougar Town — and thus could be pulling double duty.
Originally an NBC series, Scrubs has performed decently for ABC this season, delivering a modest audience yet skewing toward desirable upscale demos. It also serves as a good lead-in for freshman laffer Better Off Ted, which itself is being eyed for renewal.
Express your opinion in the poll here.

Chuck creator Josh Schwartz promised a "game-changing" finale, and boy, did he deliver! Chuck's hot new brand of flashes, though, left us with several burning questions. Schwartz was kind enough to address our queries, as well as offer a status report on the beloved, butt-kicking and yet still-on-the-bubble action-comedy.
TVGuide.com: Dude, awesome season finale!
Josh Schwartz: Aw, thanks.
TVGuide.com: I got wind of the "game-changing" twist back in March, but made sure to keep mum.
Schwartz: Thank you for that. Luckily, only very few people knew [the twist], and we were able to keep it contained.
TVGuide.com: These new flashes that give Chuck an ability, how long will each one last? Like, could he "forget" kung fu in the middle of a fight?
Schwartz: What I will say is that people who are concerned that these new powers will somehow change the tone of the show or of our guy, don't be. There is a plan in place, and the tone of the show and Chuck's underdog quality will remain intact.
TVGuide.com: Will he flash on, like, a foreign language one week? And then safecracking skills the next? That kind of a thing?
Schwartz: There are a lot of options, a lot of opportunities for us to go down different paths.
TVGuide.com: Might this make Casey, who's used to being the bacon-saver, a bit jealous?
Schwartz: Certainly we're always, always looking for ways to heighten conflict between Chuck and Casey. That's a really fun dynamic for the show.
TVGuide.com: Will there be implications for Chuck and Sarah with this new development?
Schwartz: The most immediate way it impacts them is they can only be together if he is not the asset. That's why they were able to move their relationship forward in the penultimate episode, because the Intersect was out of his head, and she was no longer going to need to protect him. But now...
TVGuide.com: He's more valuable than ever.
Schwartz: Exactly. So that dynamic has changed, and it certainly puts their relationship back in jeopardy. But Chuck and Sarah's relationship will be one of the major driving stories of next season — should we have one.
TVGuide.com: Oh, don't talk like that.
Schwartz: But I have to.
TVGuide.com: What did you think about the Save Chuck Subway effort? I'd like to think it got the tide turning in the direction of a Season 3 pickup.
Schwartz: The fan reaction, the Save Chuck campaign that started on the blogs and with the critics and with the fans, on Facebook and Twitter, has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life to witness — and certainly the most creatively gratifying. Everybody involved in the show has been very, very moved and very emotional about how vocal people have become. The Subway [campaign] was a brilliant idea by somebody on the Television without Pity message boards. It really speaks to how sophisticated and savvy Chuck viewers are, to utilize product integration to save their show rather than just reject it out of hand. I have heard anecdotally stories of Subway lines out the door. I know that [Subway execs] have also been extremely surprised by the level of promotion for Subway amidst all of this.
TVGuide.com: But what is NBC thinking these days?
Schwartz: Well, NBC has always really loved the show. They have been very supportive of the show, and they really do love and support the show. It's not lost on them, the fan reaction, the critical support, and this grassroots movement that's taken hold. All of that is very significant in indicating momentum for the show, growth for the show, and a really loyal and fervent fan base for the show.
TVGuide.com: So you feel like it's a genuinely difficult decision NBC is facing?
Schwartz: They have a very tight schedule this year, so...
TVGuide.com: Are you an expensive show, or just not an NBC Universal-owned show?
Schwartz: We're not an expensive show, we're not a cheap show — I think we fall in the middle. They don't own us, so there is that, but at the same time... . There are pluses and minuses to being owned [by the network you air on], I guess.
TVGuide.com: Is Bryce truly and sincerely dead this time?
Schwartz: He is dead.
TVGuide.com: You left the door open for Scott Bakula to return as Chuck's father. Is he on board for further appearances, should you get renewed?
Schwartz: We would love to have Scott back; he was such a fantastic part of the show and he surpassed all of our hopes and expectations for what he would bring to the part. He grounded the show emotionally, and he kicked ass.
TVGuide.com: Would next season be the season we explore Chuck's mom?
Schwartz: We're still formulating our thoughts for the new characters. We know the larger arc for next season that we want to play out, we know the direction we want to take the show, and we know how next season would end.
TVGuide.com: Does it end as good as this one?
Schwartz: Yeah, we're really excited about it. And one thing I will promise for next year is that, come hell or high water, Jeffster shall return!

Check-in to SpoilerTV on GetGlue
One of the nicest TV gangs in town—the cast and producers of Fox's Fringe—gathered at Paley Fest last week to discuss season one, including what we can expect from the three remaining episodes (the first of which airs tonight).
Read on to find out what they revealed to us exclusively about who got the coveted scene with Leonard Nimoy's William Bell, about which villains return for an encore and which shocking secret about Peter is revealed way ahead of schedule...
Countdown to Finale: Expect the final three episodes to blow out the show as you've known it so far. Says executive producer Roberto Orci: "We were saving so many juicy secrets for years and years, and we're actually going to stick a bunch of them in the finale. That may be the worst idea ever, but we're doing it." According to Anna Torv, all sorts of nooks and crannies of the show's mythology will be explored: "The last couple of episodes are very exciting. You get to the bottom of Harris (Michael Gaston)—there are a couple of surprises—and Jones (Jared Harris) comes back, and you find out something that I didn't expect. And we meet William Bell!" But according to Josh Jackson, the final eps are really all about Ms. Olivia: "The episodes that we're in right now are about clarifying why it is that Olivia is so important to the FBI and understanding why Olivia specifically—not any other cop—got chosen for that job."
The Best and the Brightest: Leonard Nimoy appears as William Bell in just one scene this season, and that scene is with Anna Torv's Olivia. She tells us: "It was a tiny, tiny, tiny little scene, but I think we'll pick on it when we come back. He was lovely. How exciting that he's a part of our show, and that he's William Bell, no less! How exciting that we get to meet William Bell and not just talk about him for another season!" For those of you who are worried that hard-to-come-by Nimoy wouldn't be able to do as many episodes as originally imagined for Bell, Orci has some reassurance for you: "William Bell will be a bigger part of the story than you can even imagine," regardless of Nimoy's episode count. BTW, William Bell and Walter Bishop might be better buds that you'd think. John Noble tells us, "When Walter refers to William Bell, he doesn't do it nastily, he always says 'Belly and I did this or did that.' He hasn't got a grudge against him."
Clone Wars? Also up for examination is Peter's much-discussed medical condition. Says exec producer Alex Kurtzman, "Yes, that's one of those things we were going to save for a long time. You're going to find out about a big part of Peter's life." And Josh Jackson says that the reveals about his character are worth the wait: "It is actually, if I may say so, shocking. It radically changes the understanding of the character. I don't play it...It happens somewhere else with other characters, but information is revealed."
Altered Ego? So does the lightbox trick combined with the Cortextiphan reveal mean that Olivia Dunham has been gifted with powers far beyond those of mortal women? According to Anna, "I don't know, but since I get to play Olivia, that's the kind of stuff I want to see more of." (Us too, girl!) Meanwhile, Orci says, "Does she have superpowers? It depends on what you mean by super. She could have powers that we could all discover within ourselves. Or she may be going crazy." Don't rush to any conclusions though, guys, because according to Kurtzman, "That's not a denial, and that's not a confirmation."
In a Family Way: Everybody in the cast is still trying to figure out where they fit into the group dynamic of the show. According to Jackson, "We are this screwed-up family unit that [all the characters] want to be a part of although no one wants to admit it." Whereas Anna says, "I don't know what her place is yet. I don't know if Walter is like a little father figure or if Olivia is gonna have to be a mom to these two little boys, Walter and Peter. I just don't know." John Noble has a firm stand on the character-relationship situation. He just votes no on a Peter-Olivia hookup because he thinks it would kill what semblance of familiar order they have established, "I hope it doesn't happen. It would ruin the family dynamic—really, really screw it up, if we play it true to life. When people in work situations have relationships, it's disastrous."

Burn Notice has tapped Tony and Golden Globe-nominated actor Ben Shenkman to join the cast as the man of Michael Westen's dreams: a dude who can make his burn notice disappear forever.
Shenkman, last seen raging against Derek for killing his ailing wife on Grey's Anatomy, will play the recurring role of Tom Strickler, a smooth-talking, gregarious freelance spy broker who offers to cancel Michael's (Jeffrey Donovan) burn notice in exchange for an unspecified -- and potentially lethal -- job.
Shenkman's on board for a minimum of four episodes, the first of which will air midway through the show's third season (debuting in June).

Thanks to Annie for the heads up.
After months of speculation, the third series of the Doctor Who spin-off show, Torchwood, is to be broadcast on BBC1 in June.
The British Film Institute are hosting a preview of the first episode on Friday, 12th June at the National Film Theatre in London. This would suggest that Torchwood: Children of Earth will start broadcasting on 15th June. As previously announced by the BBC, the five-part series will be aired over five consecutive nights though it would appear that this format will not be observed when it is screened on BBC America.
The event at the NFT also includes a Q&A with guests from the cast and creative team. The BFi have also supplied a synopsis for the first installment (those avoiding spoilers may want to look away now):
1965: Twelve children are gathered on a deserted moor, before being surrounded by a harsh, bright light .... and then they are gone!
Today: all over Earth, children stop moving. Stop playing, stop laughing. Then, as one, they begin to speak with the same voice, announcing the imminent arrival of a new alien threat. "We are coming...". As the British government closes ranks, it issues a death warrant against Captain Jack and Torchwood...
