Thanks to Isabella for the heads up.

Ed Westwick is almost as crafty as the sly cad he plays on "Gossip Girl." So, getting any kind of scoop from the British actor about the fictional life he leads as Chuck Bass on the CW drama is a nearly impossible task.

"Well, you know, we like to keep our audience on their toes," he told MTV News about the current bed-hopping ways of the show's New York City teens. "We just shot the finale for the season, and there's an interesting conclusion. A happy one, I hope everyone will think."

Westwick, who is currently dating co-star Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) in real life, also wouldn't say whether Chuck and Blair (Leighton Meester) will eventually rekindle their flame.

"I can't reveal these kinds of things," he said, advising fans, "Watch! Watch. You have to watch!"

Although he knows how his own character will finish out the season, Westwick is apparently still in the dark about the soapy details of with Lily and Rufus' presumed-dead secret lovechild. "I don't know what's going on," he said, before warning us, "I'm not revealing anything, you know. You're not gonna get me."

Westwick was more open to talking about his ink, especially the "Heartbreak Hotel" tattoo that has captivated fans' interest after he showed it off in the latest issue of Rolling Stone. "Elvis Presley," he said of the inspiration for it. "That's one of my old ones. Would have thought you would have mentioned one of the new ones. You'll have to wait and see [them] when my shirt comes off in a photo shoot."

Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg—executive producers of ABC's recently canceled time-jumping series Life on Mars—offered SCI FI Wire a few exclusive thoughts on how the show will end its run on Wednesday with the series finale, "Life Is a Rock," at 10 p.m. ET/PT. (Spoilers ahead!)

The producers also ruminated on why the show failed to find a larger audience, the differences between their version and the original BBC show on which it's based and the new pilot they're filming in Toronto right now. Following is an edited version of our exclusive interview with Appelbaum and Rosenberg.

I know a lot of people are upset that Life on Mars is airing the series finale. When did you guys find out about the cancellation?

Appelbaum:
We had two endings [for the first season]. We had an ending for the series finale and the season finale in mind, and we asked if we could shoot both. And that would give us a little more time, and you can see a couple more air dates and how the ratings were. But we really got a sense that things were looking grim. So we said, "What do you think?" Because we had done this show called October Road prior, and it got canceled before we could wrap up some pertinent questions. And we didn't want to have that happen again. So we asked, and word came back that "We have good news and bad news. The good news is they will let you shoot a series finale. The bad news is they will only let you shoot a series finale." So it was quietly devastating.

Tell us about the final episode ...

Rosenberg:
Basically, this episode was always going to be the season finale, so we just switched things up towards the end. But we always wanted it to culminate with him and his parents. ... Amongst our favorite things that we did was always with his father and his mother. Every time we went to that well, it really worked for us. You'll realize when you see it Wednesday night at 11:00, you'll see that the whole theme of the entire 17 hours was all leading up to this. It was all about what we deal with in episode 17.

Of course, you guys knew what the ending was in the original BBC series Life on Mars. And you had to make a decision about whether or not to do the same thing. Is this the same ending you originally planned?

Rosenberg:
Different ending than the BBC ending, for sure. But we did know from the first week that the writing staff was assembled, and we were all sitting around trying to figure out "Where is this going?" We kind of came up with a notion of where we wanted to end it. ... When you see the ending in this, whether you love it or hate it—and I'm sure some people are going to love it and some people are going to hate it, as they do with series finales—it's very honest. Meaning we've been laying in clues, building up to what this ending is for the past 17 hours. For sure.

Knowing the ending to the BBC series, which is very sad, I have to ask this: Do you think American audiences can take the same sort of ending as British audiences?

Rosenberg:
I think that they probably ... I don't know. ... That's a really good question. I mean, who knows? They certainly didn't take the series. That thing was a huge hit there, and, God knows, ours wasn't. Who knows what they could or couldn't take? We'll never know, because ours is so different from theirs. It really is. It's not that we were worried about what they could or couldn't take. It's just that we had planned to be on for years and years. And anybody with Wikipedia could go look up Life on Mars BBC and find out what the ending is. You know? So we always said from the beginning that we had to do something different. And we just followed the pattern. We never did anything that we couldn't explain in the wrap-up. We never diverged.

The BBC did a spinoff called Ashes to Ashes. Did you ever have any plans to do that as well?

Rosenberg:
In our dream world, if this had been big hit, it would have been fun to have spun it off, if the original creators were interested. In this world, now, ... they don't do many spinoffs of failed TV shows [laughs].

Well, you certainly have some loyal fans. There were petitions, etc. How gratifying was that?

Rosenberg:
It was great. We always say that. We've done these two shows, which have had an incredibly loyal fan base. Which is so amazing. But at the same time, it would be nice just to have a hit [laughs].

What do you think it was? The hiatus?

Rosenberg:
The hiatus didn't help. I think, at the end of the day, it was the wrong show for the wrong network. A little bit of not enough science fiction for the science fiction people, not enough of a cop show for the cop-show people. The bottom line about the show was that it was like nothing else on television. It was so uniquely original, and those things usually have to be given time. In this world that we live in now, there is very much a box-office mentality to television now. If you don't come up with huge numbers from the gate, you don't last too long.

Appelbaum: It's also, and this is a more pedestrian answer, but the title is a tricky one as well. The title and how it reflects on what the show is. I mean, you see that title come up on your TiVo, and you think, is it a Discovery Channel documentary? A flat-out science fiction show? A space-station show? So it might have confused audiences as to what we were offering.

Rosenberg: That's why our new show is called Pizza and Girls! [laughs]

Appelbaum: You'll know exactly what you're getting when you tune in [laughs].

Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, who co-created Fox's sci-fi series Fringe with J.J. Abrams, told SCI FI Wire that the show will begin to answer a lot of its own questions as it wraps its first season.

"We are about to shoot our final two episodes of the season," Orci said in an exclusive interview last week with Kurtzman, his writing partner on Star Trek and Transformers and such TV series as Alias.

Will the final episodes of the season—which kick off on April 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT—tie things together? Yes, Orci promises, adding: "The question is how fast."

"This is something we discussed very much with the network," Orci added. "Sometimes they want answers, and then we'll actually write a show in which everything is answered, and they're like, 'No, that's too fast!' So how slowly to dole things out is always the key question. But we definitely have answers that we're dying to give, and it's a matter of how quickly we get to them."

Following is an edited version of our exclusive interview with Orci and Kurtzman about Fringe, which stars Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and John Noble.

You have been setting stuff up about William Bell, the founder of Massive Dynamic and Walter Bishop's [Noble] old lab partner, as well as the weird bald guy [The Observer] and Olivia [Torv] and Peter [Jackson] and Walter and their past ties to one another. What can you talk about as to how much you're going to reveal and how much you're still going to keep out there?

Orci: Well, we have an ultimate solution. ... Essentially, one of the things that we came up with once the staff was hired—and we have to give a lot of credit to the amazing staff—was imagine the most basic question, which is "Why is the [Pattern] happening? What is causing all of these things? What is the Pattern?" And so we do have an answer to that. That answer will probably be a long time coming.

[But] various players' interests and allegiances, like William Bell—like his potential connections to our characters from before—all that will be more fleshed out and their place in the world more defined.

Before the end of the first season?

Orci:
Yes.

Will we figure out who The Observer is?

Orci:
Who he is? Not who, but you'll get a deeper context of what he's a part of.

I think it's already been suggested he's from an alternate dimension or something?

Orci:
That doesn't tell you much, does it? ... It's an answer without revelation. ...

In the pilot, Agent Scott [Mark Valley] asked Olivia, "Why did Broyles [Lance Reddick] request to put you on this unit?" Is that question going to be answered by the end of the year?

Orci:
Yes. ...

There are also hints of something more going on between Olivia and Peter? Or are you not going to go in that direction?

Orci:
Well, we want it to. It's obviously something that has to cross your mind, but we wanted to, you know, make sure it's earned. And it was interesting for the first 13 [episodes], because the natural assumption is "Oh, there's going to be a flirtatious pitter-patter between our two leads." But we very deliberately set up the fact that she'd just been tormented and hurt by her first love having gone horribly wrong. And when that kind of thing happens, the last thing you're feeling is kind of flirty. So we very purposefully built in a massive obstacle that would take, you know, most of the season to get over. And we're kind of playing it by ear in terms of seeing [how far to go]. Each show that we watch, we say, "Do I believe that she is recovered enough now to notice Peter?" And when that moment hits, hopefully it'll hit us all at the same time. ...

I talked to John Noble a couple of weeks ago, and he also felt that he didn't want to see the Peter-Walter relationship sort of resolve itself too quickly, because there's too much baggage there for them to become pals right away. Do you guys sort of share that feeling?

Orci:
Yeah. Our motto on them was always one step forward, two steps back. ...

What sort of weird science will you incorporate into future episodes?

Orci:
From chips under your skin to track you to cloning, [which] is now real in a way that it wasn't when The X-Files was on. We have a rover on Mars. We have invisibility cloaks. We have ... HAARP, the High [Frequency Active] Auroral Research Program that bounces lasers off the ionosphere and can see underground. We have potential weather control, used by the Chinese during the Olympics. We have chem trails, you know, the German government admitting that, yes, indeed, they have been putting chemicals in some of the airborne aerosols that planes ... I mean, literally, I don't know how we're going to run out of stories. As long as there's an Internet, we're not going to run out of stories.

Lyric in St. Louis: Can you share any Office finale scoop?
Rainn Wilson teased a shocking development for Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim (John Krasinski): "I guess I can scoop this now. It's kind of gotten out, but Jim and Pam end up in a bizarre, satanic murder-suicide to end season five. It's gruesome. It goes to a dark place, very David Lynch. But it's a very searing finale, so make sure you tune in." Hee.

Done and done. We adore Zachary Levi, Yvonne Stra-hot-ski and that entire show. Oh, and speaking of Chuck, don't forget that everybody's favorite genre girl, Tricia Helfer (BSG, Burn Notice) guests tonight as a replacement for Sarah!

Amanda in Boise, Idaho: I'm so glad Mariska Hargitay isn't missing the rest of this season on Law & Order: SVU! What's coming up with her character?
Now that Benson has put her abuse issues behind her, show runner Neal Baer tells us that she's in for yet another twist toward the end of the season. "Benson will get caught up in a really tangled case in episode 20, so the third from the last, where she ends up in a switch working with the defense. That's pretty fun!" Ohhh, could there be a Stabler versus Benson courtroom scene coming up?

Suzanne in Hickory, N.C.: Any scoop on the series finale of one of the greatest shows of all time, ER?
Shane West told E! News, "I do know the punch line for the finale…and it's something that everybody [should] tune in and watch. They end it very well." BTW, the pilot for Southland (the time-slot successor to ER), starring Ben McKenzie, is awesome. You will definitely still have something good to watch on NBC at 10 p.m. after ER goes off the air.

Sandy in Addison, Texas: Any news on Burn Notice?
There will be several deaths as soon as the show returns. "There's already been a couple. We're about three episodes in, and there's been one funeral too many," Gabrielle Anwar told us at the Genesis Awards. As for Michael and Fiona, the romantic pair won't be able to keep away from each other, "I think it's inevitable for those two. They can't live with each other, they can't live without each other. It's like real life, isn't it?" says Anwar.

Tina in Pasadena, Calif.: What happens with the new neighbor on The Big Bang Theory?
We'll let Jim Parsons, BBT's Sheldon, answer this one for us: "Penny gets into a bitch fight. No bitch slap, just a bitch fight with the new upstairs neighbor [played by Valerie Azylnn]. The neighbor is being a little bit disrespectful to the people Penny has grown to love." (Awesome!)

Ashley in Lafayette, Ind.: Last week's episode of Samantha Who? was amazing! Any news on if it's coming back next season? (Please say yes!)
Christina Applegate says, "If ABC is smart, as I know they are, we'll come back for a third season." On the rest of this year, Christina teases, "We have a great episode coming up, it's called 'The Amazing Racist,' and you'll see why. It's all Sam and Frank and them hanging out and trying to find a common ground. She tries to break him from pretending that he doesn't care about her. You know he does, and he doesn't admit it."

Alexis in Santa Fe, N.M.: Are we going to see more of the Watchers on Ghost Whisperer?
Ghost Whisperer show runner P.K. Simonds says we will "definitely" see more Watchers and begin to learn about how the "very important" Book of Changes relates to their abilities: "Over the very, very long span of time that they've been watching, [the Watchers] have observed that history tends to repeat itself. That gives them a certain ability to make a pretty good educated guess about what the future is. They are able to know something about what's taking shape, let's say, in a character's womb. And yes, it's possible to know certain things about the gift that might be growing."

Jackie in Silver Spring, Md.: Got any scoop on what's in store for the upcoming season of Weeds this summer? I'm dying for anything.
We'll finally be meeting Nancy's estranged sister, Jill Price-Gray, as presumably-preggo Nancy will be turning to her family in her time of knocked-up-by-a-drug-kingpin need. Jenji Kohan told us last year that the writers have been talking for a long time about introducing more of Nancy's side of the family, but that they didn't feel like the burning-of-Agrestic stakes were high enough to warrant Nancy reaching out: "There was a lot of discussion in the room about whether we should go to her relatives, but we really felt like if she had been able to do that, she would have done it when Judah died."

Nell in New Orleans: Medium is kicking butt this year. What's coming up?
A cool but scary storyline for Allison—she's going to need brain surgery, but the kicker is that it might remove her psychic powers, which she believes she needs to protect Joe and the kids from an evil killer!

Daniel in Pine Grove, Pa.: Please tell me that Peyton and Baby Leyton will be all right on One Tree Hill!
A baby will be born on the One Tree Hill finale, but whether baby and/or Peyton survive is another question.

Dave in Fullerton, Calif.: What can you tell us about the season finale of United States of Tara?
Without spoiling it too much, there is a lot left unexplained about the origin of Tara's disorder. For that matter, Kate doesn't really get rid of superfreak Gene, either! Tara's season-one ender is actually kinda…frustrating. We'll definitely be back next year, but still!

Kaitlyn in West Hollywood: Greek returns tonight, any scoop? Does Jesse McCartney stick around for a while?
Jesse McCartney will only be hanging out on Greek for six episodes, but that's just enough time for him to choose a frat. Jesse teases, "Calvin is trying to get me to join the Omega Chi fraternity. Then there is Rusty, who is trying to get me to join Kappa Tau. It's definitely safe to say it's between those two. He goes where you probably don't expect him to go." Which house do you think? Vote in the comments!

Diane in Queens, N.Y.: The lack of Criminal Minds spoilers is killing me!
Lucky for you, then, that we just caught up with Kirsten Vangsness, and she told us the two finale episodes of Criminal Minds this season are "companion pieces" and that we should expect a year-end cliff-hanger, and that "I finally got to have some scenes with my real boyfriend on the show [Nicholas Brendon] and my real fake boyfriend, Shemar Moore, on the show. It's been a while since we got to aggressively flirt, so that's been good. And we have a callback [to past storylines]—we have some unsubs [returning] that you've seen before." Hmmm…any guesses about which bad guys are returning? Post in the comments!

"90210" finally returns tonight after a seven week break and since the West Bev population has been MIA for so long, I figured we should talk about what's coming up. Your questions, my answers...

Korbi, Is it true about Ethan leaving "90210"? -Caterina
Though the network and studio aren't confirming anything, it seems Dustin Milligan will indeed be stripped of his series regular status come next season. I recently spoke with him on set and he said that Ethan's sort of searching right now, becoming more introspective. I got the feeling that Ethan's quest for meaning may be what ultimately takes him out of the picture. Perhaps Beverly Hills isn't the best place to grow and gain character?

I don't understand why Dustin Milligan would want to leave "90210" now. Does he have another show lined up? -Alice
I don't think leaving the show was really Dustin's decision. Word is, he was not thrilled to get his walking papers from new exec producer Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair.

Are Annie and Ethan done now? -Steph
Not yet. They start tonight's episode as a couple... that's not really talking. But by the end of the hour, Annie will be laying on the hood of a car up at make out point with some other dude.

So this kid Liam is supposed to be the new Dylan McKay? I don't see it. Dylan is Dylan. The guy would have to be pretty special to be compared to the great McKay -Christa
Shenae Grimes (Annie), who is the only regular cast member that knows the original "90210" well, was skeptical about this Liam is the new Dylan business too. She told me she wasn't buying it at first, but after seeing Matt Lanter work, she changed her mind. Me? After seeing this evening's hour, I'm still not yet convinced, but I'll give it some time.

I remember you saying that Liam is going to have relationships with both Naomi and Annie. Is that still the plan? -Kate
Naomi will fall hard for this dude right from the start. And though he completely blows her off tonight and doesn't seem at all interested, she will win him over. I think he may even be taking her to the prom in May. His relationship with Annie, however, will build slowly. Shenae said Liam sort of challenges Annie. He doesn't believe that she's really as nice and sweet as she tries to come off. I guess he antagonizes her a bit and it sounds like the whole dynamic just reeks of sexual tension.

Korbi, Can you just tell us which long running "90210" couple will break up for good by next season? It's gotta be Silver and Dixon, but not knowing for sure is driving me crazy. -Deanna
All I can say is Silver and Dixon are definitely in for more difficult times. As I first told you back in January, Silver is about to suffer a mental breakdown and her issues with Dixon will set off a major episode tonight. I'll speak plainly, the girl done lost her mind.

Any news on my favorite "90210" character Navid? -Penn
I don't think he appears in this evening's new episode, actually. If he does, it's briefly. But he'll be back in a big way soon, don't worry. Like I said before, he and Adrianna are not done.

I am, however, done talking "90210" for today... unless you guys want to get a discussion going in the comments section. Anyone?

We know that Gossip Girl thrives on nihilism, and we love it, but lately it seems like our favorite rich and beautiful Upper East Siders are indulging in enough self-destruction to make even us raise an eyebrow.

We'll watch Chuck drink himself into a stupor, alienate all of his friends and loved ones and almost kill himself any day. We expect that kind of behavior from him; his dad was a Basshole and his mom died before she could salvage his sensitive little soul. But now that others are spinning the old wheel of destruction, will it land the show in shark-jumping territory?

Blair: She didn't get into Yale, so she fell apart. Understandable given her lifelong obsession with the institution and how hard she manipulated worked to be accepted. But was this blow to her ego enough to get busy with bad boy Carter Baizen, shoplift, insult New York City society and tempt her ex-beau Nate with a roll in the hay? The Blair we know would be more creative and less resigned.

Rufus and Lily: When two characters finally get together after the "will they or won't they" dance, it's a struggle to keep things interesting. So having Lily and Rufus exchange lists of the people they've slept with is an intriguing, if incredibly unrealistic idea! Once Rufus discovers that Lily has a very long list that includes people like Slash, though, the subsequent argument is anything but sexy.

What do you think Blair, Lily and Rufus' storylines? Interesting, dramatic storytelling or desperate stunts?

We are not quite done with Nicollette Sheridan yet. The April 19 ep of Desperate Housewives is Edie's so-called "final stroll down Wisteria Lane…as the women look back on Edie's life. Susan recalls their first meeting, Lynette reflects on a memorable night out, Bree is reminded of the thoughtfulness she bestowed upon Orson and Gaby remembers fondly a night of friendly competition." (One tear.) In other D.H. news, Gaby's funny and sexy niece Ana will be joining the cast as a regular next season. Dream casting? Post in the comments!

Friday Night Lights is officially a go for two more 13-episode seasons, airing first on DirecTV and later on NBC, reports Variety's Cynthia Littleton. (Whee!)

Star Connie Britton recently told us about the possibility of a pickup for the perpetually on-the-bubble drama, "I am feeling optimistic about it and really hopeful. As much as you feel like, 'OK, it's time to move on,' the reality is that to have the opportunity to create something new with [this show] every day is just the greatest gift. It would be great if we had another season."

And Kyle Chandler spilled a little about the shape of the seasons to come (although you should skip this part if you haven't finishing watching season three on NBC yet!)

Kyle says, "Coach has been moved into the poor part of town, and we have no pool to draw from for a football team. I think it opens up [the show] to be far more representative, having more Hispanics in the show, blacks in the show. And then also just being the underdogs going up against my old show where my wife is still principal."

Any chance Tami Taylor will follow Coach to the wrong side of the tracks in seasons four and five? Connie Britton has her theories! "I think it would be interesting if she did, but it may be too difficult to depict in the show. It could also be interesting if I also go over there, and we're both struggling at this school that is just falling apart."

Mind you none of this is set in stone, as Connie is quick to point out, "We generally leave that stuff to the writers because their ideas are going to be 10 times better than anything I'd have an idea for!" Pshaw!

Sadly, most of the current castmembers, include Taylor Kitsch's Riggins, Minka Kelly's Lyla, Zach Gilford's Matt Saracen and Adrianne Palicki's Tyra, play graduating seniors who are likely to eventually exit and move on with their lives on and offscreen.

Says Kyle of the rotation, "They told us that that was going to be the case when we started the show—that people weren't going to stay on the show for seven years and be freshmen. People who have gone off the show, they knew what was going on. It does give a chance for new people to come on and for the show to be far more organic in that way, although some of the folks who are leaving I really wish they weren't,
obviously."

Tell us this isn't the best news you've heard all day? No, seriously, tell us in the comments, and we expect you to prove, with facts and stuff, that something else better happened!

Season three of Friday Night Lights is now airing Fridays at 9 p.m. on NBC.

Get ready for the baby-daddy drama of '09!

Weeds is finally back June 8, and executive producer and creator Jenji Kohan confirms to us that there's only a slim chance Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) is not pregnant.

So now that we know she'll have a bun in the oven (that's what slim chance means, right?), when the heck are we going to find out who the father is?

Could it be Andy (Justin Kirk)? He does have that unrequited love for his dead brother's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) widow. Or is it the most likely candidate: Mexican drug kingpin Esteban (Demián Bichir)?

To get the exclusive details on the fifth season of Weeds, we turned to Jenji and Justin directly...

The million-dollar question: Who fathered Nancy's forthcoming little bambino? Jenji tells us it's not safe to assume someone other than Esteban is the father. But whether they'll go with him as the baby daddy, Jenji says, "You never know."

Could it be Andy? Justin Kirk says, "I don't think it is my baby. I asked about that. I'd like to think my semen was so powerful that even though we didn't have sex, it somehow leapt across the house. I don't really know how reproduction works, but something like that."

Sorry, Justin, that's not how it works. But you could just raise Esteban's child for him. "Wouldn't it be a kick in the ass if I'm going to be stepdad to Esteban's baby?" asks Justin. Yes, it would, especially since you're harboring feelings for your dead brother's widow. "I do believe that the story of Andy's burgeoning feelings for Nancy will be explored in some way or another," adds Justin.

Do you want to see Nancy and Andy together, or is that just creepy? Or would you want Nancy to be a female kingpin alongside Esteban? The comments section is yours for the taking.

90210's new boss lady, Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair, recently told me that the soap's second season would be "significantly" different than the first, and, man, she wasn't kidding.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Dustin Milligan, who plays affable jock (and one half of 90210's central super couple) Ethan, won't be returning to the show in the fall -- at least not full time.

Reps for The CW and producer Paramount declined comment, but a 90210 insider confirms that Milligan's contract option is not being picked up for next season. The source adds that the door is being left open for the actor to briefly appear in the fall to wrap up Ethan's story.

All indications are that Milligan's exit was strictly a creative decision. "Everyone loves Dustin," maintains the insider. "There was just a feeling that the character had run its course." (Curiously, the news comes just days after Milligan's newbie co-star, Matt Lanter -- a.k.a. bad boy Liam -- confirmed that he was being promoted to a series regular next season.)

The departure of one the show's most high profile leading men is the clearest indication yet that Sinclair's ongoing reboot of the reboot will be anything but minor. Viewers will get their first taste of the Gilmore Girl alum's new vision when 90210 returns from its winter hiatus this Wednesday with a hilariously campy outing that features the primetime soap trifecta: stalkers, street-racing, and scenery-chewing!

Looking ahead to season 2, Sinclair said last month that she wants to "reconceive things visually. There are opportunities to embrace California culture visually in terms of fashion and style; I want it to be more contemporary.

"If Gossip Girl is about youth in New York," she elaborated, "I want to [make 90210] about youth in L.A. and Beverly Hills."

The writer-producer also plans to rely less on 90210 vets such as Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, and Tori Spelling to boost ratings. "The show tried to be a lot of things to a lot of people in its first season," she conceded. "I think the center lies with the generation of kids that are in high school now. I'm not interested in casting people for stunt value."

Sinclair, who replaces original show-runners Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs, said the show will benefit from having a singular vision. "The advantage of having one person -- me -- [in charge] is that scripts, what happens on the set, casting... it all speaks in one voice."

Thoughts on Sinclair's new 90210? Waiting to pass judgment until you see this season's remaining episodes? Is the loss of cute-but-boring Ethan a step in the right or wrong direction? Sound off below!

For 24 fans who hope to once again see Jack Bauer and the American way prevail over unheard-of evil this season, there is some bad news ... and some badder news.

The simply bad news first.

Speaking with TVGuide.com at Saturday night's GLAAD Media Awards, Cherry Jones (who plays President Allison Taylor) teased that with this week's "game-changing" episode, "We have Mr. [Jon] Voight fully in the Darth Vader chair," wreaking havoc as Jonas Hodges.

"He's moving into high gear," warns Jones, "which means the rest of us have to move into high gear. Again!"

Luckily, the U.S. of A. has a sharp-thinking POTUS to watch its back, right? Actually, it sounds like Madame President's trying day is about to get the best of her — which is understandable, given that she has witnessed the explosion of a passenger jet outside her Oval Office window as well as been held hostage during a terrorist invasion of the White House.

Says Jones, "To the fans of Allison Taylor, I apologize for a few sleep-deprived decisions I might be making in the next episode."

What sort of questionable call does 24's commander in chief make during the middle of the night? Sources tell TVGuide.com that her primary trespass involves conniving daughter Olivia, and is sure to have viewers abuzz Tuesday morning.
