Amy Smart (MacGyver, Justified, Shameless), Neil Jackson (Sleepy Hollow, Absentia, Kingsman: The Great Game), Hunter Sansone (Unfollow), and Trae Romano have rounded out the core cast of DC Universe's Stargirl per Deadline. Smart, Jackson, Sansone, and Romano have been cast in series regular roles. Additionally, it was revealed by Deadline, yesterday, that Cameron Gellman (Heathers) was also cast in a series regular role.

Stargirl follows High School sophomore Courtney Whitmore (Bassinger) who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new DC Universe series reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in a fun, exciting and unpredictable series premiering in 2019, produced by Warner Bros. Television, Mad Ghost Productions and Berlanti Productions.

Amy Smart will play Barbara Whitmore, the mother of Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl (Brec Bassinger) and new wife of Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson). With her daughter in high school, Barbara is diving back into the workforce but striving to balance work-place demands with the commitments of both matrimony and motherhood.

Trae Romano will play Mike Dugan, the overly charming offspring of Pat (Wilson) and the unctuous new step-relative to household newcomers Barbara and Courtney Whitmore.

The roles of Neil Jackson and Hunter Sansone are not being disclosed.

Cameron Gellman will play an "undisclosed DC character".

Geoff Johns will pen the premiere episode and serve as the showrunner for the upcoming DC Universe live-action series of which is inspired by his late sister.

Smart, Jackson, Sansone, Romano and Gellman join previously announced cast members Jake Austin Walker, Meg DeLacy, Luke Wilson, Anjelika Washington, Yvette Monreal, Christopher James Baker, Joel McHale, Lou Ferrigno Jr., Brian Stapf, Henry Thomas, Joy Osmanski, Neil Hopkins, Nelson Lee and Brec Bassinger.
