JANE THE VIRGIN
“Chapter One (Pilot)” — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DL) (HDTV)

A NEW ONE-HOUR COMEDY ON THE CW — Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) is a driven young woman studying to become a teacher, nursing a dream to be a writer, and supporting herself with a job at a hot new Miami hotel. All the years of watching telenovelas with the two women who raised her – her sexy, young-at-heart mother, Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) and her still-devout grandmother, Alba (Ivonne Coll) – have given Jane a slightly unrealistic view of romance, but her wonderful fiancĂ©, Michael (Brett Dier), is supportive and even understands her decision to “save herself” until marriage. All of Jane’s meticulous life plans are turned upside down, however, when she sees her doctor for a routine check-up and is accidentally artificially inseminated with a specimen meant for someone else. Now, Jane is faced with the most important decisions of her life – a life that has suddenly become as dramatic, complicated and unpredictable as the telenovelas she has always loved. Justin Baldoni, Jaime Camil and Yael Grobglas also star. Brad Siberling directed the episode written by Jennie Snyder Urman (#101). Original airdate 10/13/2014.

When six gunmen storm the event, Barry changes into The Flash and tries to stop them. While he does save a man’s life, he passes out before he can capture the robbers, which frustrates him. As Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) scramble to find out what’s wrong with Barry, Joe (Jesse Martin) comes down hard on Barry for taking the law into his own hands and risking his life. Barry realizes that it wasn’t six gunmen but a metahuman named Danton Black (guest star Michael Christopher Smith), who can make multiples of himself. Meanwhile, Iris becomes even more intrigued by the “red streak.” David Nutter directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Geoff Johns (#102). 2. No reruns of The 100? They should really air repeats to make more people aware of the show.

  4. High school Liv should be pretty funny. She'll probably annoy Clive too.

Haven't checked this show out but might put it on my radar - think its on Netflix? over the summer. Is it worth checking out and if you had to describe it by comparing it to something else what would it be??

  11. Yeah, but they probably have no room to do that later. All fall shows will be back on. Unless they do three weeks non-stop The 100 repeats every night. That would be kind of awesome and deliver a big promotional push for the show, but sadly they won't do that.

  12. It's absolutely worth checking out! You could kind of compare it to Lost and Battlestar Galactica, but the show is really its own unique concept. If you decide to watch it: don't give up after three episodes. The show is struggling in these episodes but the show just gets better and better.

Why?Its heavily serialized so new people are unlikely to see a repeat and watch.IZombie is doing decent and is procedural so they're reacting that plus good rated Flash,Arrow and critical darling which is easy to jump into with the recap at start of each episode. Why bother rerunning a modest performer ehen they can repeat shows with better ratings or better critical acclaim or shows that are easier to jump into?CW has a bunch of summer shows(ANTM,WL,BatB,Dates,P& :FM,MoI,Signifucant Mother) so there's no room to reun The 100.Its not the reruns last spring & summer helped increase viewership or ratings either so why bother?Hobestly,,I suspect CW is done caring much about The 100-it didn't get much promotion in s2,they're holding it til midsession or summer,it most likely won't get much promotion for s3 either ect.I would be incredibly suprised if got a good time slot/leadin in s3.

  14. The CW President said that he hopes the show has its Breaking Bad moment (i.e. that the ratings will rise). However, it doesn't seem to me like they are doing much to help that. If they really want new audience joing for season 3, they should put the first two seasons on Netflix and air reruns.

Also, The 100 has a recap at the start of each episode as well. It is also critically well-received.

But yeah, I am afraid The 100 won't get much promotion for season 3 either. Such a shame, the show is really good and deserves higher ratings!

I'm sure s2 will be on DVD & Netflix before s3 starts biput even that didn't seem to help its ratings. Its a heavily serialized show in its third season, barely rating above Reign and unlikely to grow/ratings rise.I also think it repeated poorly last spring/summer
