ReplyDeleteShe was more traditionally badass in two. Well except for the Atom suit bit. But she will be (even through it made a lot of sense given the circumstances) since four will probably be lighter in tone and less everyone suffering all the time.

ReplyDeleteThank you. Sara died, Oliver died, the city went to hell, he world with Merlyn the guy who killed Sara, then Lance shafted Oliver and Oliver became a fake villain. But no she's whiny because Felicity gets emotional over these awful things.
ReplyDeleteShe had neat moments in S03 as well but far away from the smooth moments of S02.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't like for S04 to be to light, enjoy the darkness of Arrow. I just want S04 to be much more coherent and focused, more character driven and keeping it simple. No LP's and stuff.
Yes of course she is whiny. She's supposed to be cheerful and make awkward jokes, and smiles. But she had to cry and ruin the show with her and Oliver's stupid love life.

ReplyDeleteOh seeing Green Arrow, Black Driver, Bitch with Wifi, Black Canary and Speedy reuniting the team to fight HIVE and get justice for Andy will be fun.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to Arrow finally going back to the Andrew Diggle subplot. They've been hanging onto that one for a while now.

ReplyDeleteDig and Felicity stories plus lazarus pit effects and the actions of the new Ra's a Ghul (who will probably to Oliver's ire want to work together to stop Darhk).
ReplyDeleteKoky don't go there! One thing is heartache and a completely other what they wrote for Felicity. Her reactions to everything was to twitch her eyes and poor tears out of them.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of the girl but this 2nd part of season 3 was way to much. I understand being broken, but she had to control that pitch.
I'm really interested to see how they'll exploit Coast City next season. Oliver confirmed in the interview for TvLine (same YT channel as this vid) that he'll get to Coast city and that some story will happen there.

ReplyDeleteSo should she not be upset that the team was being hunted by Lance or pissed at the Merlyn stuff? Neither of which she actually cried to. (Only really breaking down over Sara, the shafting of Oliver, Oliver's death, and the whole face turn he made and the destruction of the Arrowcave). That's pretty understandable.

ReplyDeleteThat has nothing to do with each other. Laurel changed, I hope the same thing will happen for Felicity.
ReplyDeleteThe big difference is Laurel was emotional the whole time and they wanted to push her over the line, I don't say they did it well. But she moved pass this. Found a different way to cop with her pain.
I don't say she should've cried at all or feel her pain, but at the end she started cried after every single development.

ReplyDeleteEver since Ollie left to fight Ra's al Ghul in "The Climb" she's had this constant emotion and she didn't really differ from that emotion throughout the rest of season three. Even when she and Ray became a couple, you didn't get a sense of Felicity actually changing when it came to her emotions. I think that's why people said she was "whiney" this season. Yes, she had a lot on her plate, but she never felt like that strong and brave woman we saw in the first two seasons.

ReplyDeleteThey had a real plan for season 3. *sigh* I really liked where they reached at the end of season 3 but the road they took to reach there was filled with lot of plot holes. But still I am really excited for season 4 with HIVE, Damien Darhk, Felicity's dad. I am excited about how Diggle Charlie work with his angels Thea and Laurel during the hiatus. If Felicity was there we really could have called them Diggle's angels.

ReplyDeleteAll characters were dark. I think with Felicity was more obvious because she used to be quirky and funny, so it's a more pronounced contrast.
ReplyDeleteOliver was super mopey, Laurel too, Thea was in a super bad place, Roy too... Felicity was the most notorious.
I think that was the problem, tbh.

ReplyDeleteI use the term whiny when someone cry for unnecessary reasons and complain about everything happening in their life. I didn't see that in Felicity this season. Was she emotional after the events of Fallen. Definitely. But tell me this how else she should have reacted when Oliver was changed this much? Its not like she refused to help Team Arrow and closed herself in a room to cry. Also another thing is not every character on the show can be broody and stoic.

I hope they do get to touch Felicity's dad subject, it's about time they do it. Introduce him as some sort of villain or part of HIVE
Oh, no! But people wanted her to be on a bad place but still make jokes like in Season 1 and 2... Because that would make too much sense and not being out of character.
