  1. I'm guessing Bobbi sold Kara out to Hydra. Didn't want to believe it but damn. And at least Ward just iced her. Everyone's else done it to the others so no big deal.

And yes, I knew Coulson gave the helicarrier to Fury!

AND I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE SOUND OF HOW RIGHT I WAS ABOUT JIAYING.

    Great episode!

  2. So...that just happened.

    ReplyDelete
  3. So how is everyone going to continue to woobify Ward. I've got my bingo card ready.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Well Skye's mother just got me really annoyed not that I didn't expect her to not to start a war for nothing. Skye of course will believe her because no one ever shoots themselves to make a cover story, right?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Well, color me shocked but it seems Jiaying really is Cal's soulmate. Twisted to the max! :o

    ReplyDelete
  6. My mouth is still on the floor. Jiaying is crazy!! I hated Gonzalez..but after that scene..oh well. All i can think of is: Poor Skye..she will be used by her mom as a instrument of this big war coming and all she wanted was a family! my heart can't handle this!!

Ward the big psycho as always

and i'm happy for that little happy skimmons moment..Jemma saved Skye's hula girl because she knows how much that means to her!!! MY HEART HURTS, also i'm not ready for this season finale

    ReplyDelete
  7. Wow that was just one thing after another! Gonna take a while to process.

    ReplyDelete
  8. the promo though

  9. I'm kinda underwhelmed this week, which is understandable, since this episode is basically the lead up to the big 2-parter. Life would just be a lot easier if everyone would be open and honest. Is that too much to ask? (The answer is yes, because this is a show about spies.)

  10. Bobbi won't die because of the spin-off but you think there's sill hope for Ward's redemption? you know part of me was just wishful thinking but ACTUALLY see it proves that my gut was right about the Inhumans, it feels good. Jiaying really IS a villain. Do Skye, Coulson, May, Leo, Jemma still stand together?

Right?! (about Jiaying) Everybody was onboard her being a nice gal and wanting to be a mom and a good leader, and I KNEW there was something off! I'm so sad for Skye though... I knew this was coming, but the por girl can't catch a break...

    ReplyDelete
  12. I stand with Ward!! Always :) Color me crazy but I like him the best.

    ReplyDelete
  13. but in the end will Skye come back to Coulson?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm very confused about one thing. Someone help me out here. What did I miss: Why were Bobbi and "May" on a jet? And if real-May was flying the jet with Gonzales and the others, how would Bobbi not know that it's kinda weird there is a second May sitting next to her? Again, maybe I just missed something.

    ReplyDelete
  15. This episode had so many twists it should have been called "Turn, Turn, Turn".

Goddamn Skye, your parents are crazy. I actually like Jiaying even more. I felt bad for Skye because she really wanted Coulson to meet her parent and try to show them in a different light. I guess she won't be able to do that now.

Honestly though, I wanted Gonzales to die while I hated him...but I knew deep down that they would make me like him right before they killed him. If that meeting would have gone well, then Gonzales would have went back to the base and still have talked shit.

I so want Cal to Hyde-out.

Can't wait for the final episodes. I've got high expectations.

    ReplyDelete
  16. it was backup and Kara Masqued again?! damn Comcast box, my box messed up i that moment

    ReplyDelete
  17. Justin Valdes6 May 2015 at 03:32

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. The episode definitely had my heart racing but the main revelation just disappointed me so much.

The ONE thing I feared most about what the writers would do to Jiaying/Inhumans and tonight...it happened. Sigh, I had a feeling it was coming but I just brushed it off to the side because I thought that they would never do that. The Inhumans are NOT supposed to be the bad guys, they are freaking secret society meaning no harm to anyone and here comes SHIELD with their "lets put all them on the Index ASAP". Seriously? I guess in this universe they are. Ugh, where's the Royal Family when you need them? Black Bolt? Medusa? And way to go Gonzales trying to compare your scars to Jiaying's! I know you were just trying to make peace with her but you did not get cut up and have your organs removed like HYDRA did to her. Ridiculous. At least it wasn't Coulson meeting up with her or else he would have been shattered to pieces instead of Gonzales. Guess Raina was right the whole time, I really believe she's turning a new leaf now which is great. If only the other characters actually believed her...

Ward shooting Bobbi?! What the heck?! At least it was just an ICER or else I would have gone all Cavalry on his ass. And what the hell is he doing to do with her now? Torture her? And don't even think about killing her Ward because she has a spin off to get to!

Like I said last week, if the writers can't figure out to give Mack more substance to his character then he's gotta go. Looks like I was right after all. Poor Mack. No more calling Fitz "Turbo" :( I wonder if he'll join the spin off or if this really is the last time we see him.

Uh oh, Cal drank the serum!! Are we finally going to see him go full on Mister Hyde on the quinjet? SHIELD better watch out! And aww at him saying to Skye that he is grateful that he has gotten to know her <3 Looks like there is going to more even more heartache for Skye next week :( She's so torn between choosing sides and now she has no idea what Jiaying is doing. I want to hug her so much right now.

PS: We finally know what Gonzales is hiding in the cargo hold! A Kree device intended to destroy the Inhumans. Uh oh.

Season finale time next week!! So freaking hyped.

    ReplyDelete
  18. yeah they said that we'll finally see the Cal we've heard stories about, so get ready to say hello to Mr. Hyde, you really think Skye wanting Coulson meet Jiaying was more personal than business?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Everyone talks crap on AoS but this just reminds me of how emotionally brutal it can be, in the movies things usually always work out by the end. Having just seen Age of Ultron I have a new appreciation for the TV entries in the MCU, they realllly elevate the overall story more than the movies can do.

    ReplyDelete
  20. you trust RAINA?! if what she said is true then where's the fire raining down in Afterlife?

    ReplyDelete
  21. They're screwing Ward over for shock value at this point and I'm pretty sure he has an agenda but I'm so sick of it. If they ruined that perfect scene from last week (the phone call), I'm going to cry.

All I wanted was for the abuse victim to break the cycle for John Garrett wouldn't win. That's it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Victoria Llanos6 May 2015 at 03:35

I don't know, what I predicted was that she was going to be left in middle with no good option to choose from. To be quite honest, I wouldn't be surprised if she went on her own for a little while... I mean, how can she go back to people she doesn't know she can trust?

    ReplyDelete
  23. its in the promo for next week. Quinjet firing on an afterlife building.

    ReplyDelete
  24. seems like it might be a budget thing, as to why we have not seen Cal's full abilities yet. But I was pleased with the directions they took Ward, Gonzales, and Jiaying. Seems like Gonzales was just acting and Jiaying simply beat him to it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. but she knows she can trust Coulson, doesn't she?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Justin Valdes6 May 2015 at 03:36

Call me crazy but yeah. And looks she's right after all because the Quinjets are going to fire at Afterlife next week based on the promo.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I really hope that they do and it's not bad CGI or however they plan to do Hyde. Yah, of coarse. Skye couldn't have looked more disappointed when Gonzales showed up than Coulson. Coulson has been looking after her and she wanted to show her parents the Coulson (Shield) she knew. Honestly, the meeting might have gone different if Coulson had gone instead.

    ReplyDelete
  28. you honestly believe that?! what Jiaying did, would she really have acted differently?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Pretty much. This is frustrating me to no end! -.-

    ReplyDelete
  30. Victoria Llanos6 May 2015 at 03:40

I don't know... the whole thing with Coulson is beyond complicated for me. On one side you know he is an essentially good human being and that he has nothing but the best intentions at heart, but at the end of the day you don't really know which side of the balance he's going to be on when the "greater good" comes into the picture.

    ReplyDelete
  31. if this is a world where Raina of ALL people is trustworthy, it is a VERY horrific world. RAINA of all people, MY GOD!!! is it possible, did her change make her better than what she was?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Greice Moreira6 May 2015 at 03:41

So Jiaying is basically Magneto? Although I can totally understand her actions (despite not agreeing with it) about not wanting to be branded and put on the index (Civil War registration act prelude?), I didn't like how it was handled on the show. I worry about the MCU. Turning the Inhumans as "villains" for the simple minded might not be a good thing. I know the movie is far away but this is not a good way to introduce them. I think the war was inevitable after all. Jiaying was shown as a good leader who will protect her people above all things and Shield is a threat to them. As Lincoln pointed out, their methods although less cruel don't differ from Hydra's that much. What right does Shield have of segregating/profiling people just because they are different? I see I'll be on Cap's team during Civil War. Too bad that in the end, the Inhumans will probably disappear and Skye will have to choose between leaving with her family or staying with Shield and will choose Shield.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Definitely.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Id say ultimately no, especially with how things went down. But like others have said going on her own for a while is her best opition.

    ReplyDelete
  35. and she'll see that SHIELD is her family, Coulson, May, Jemma and Lewo anyway

    ReplyDelete
  36. good statement, VERY good

    ReplyDelete
  37. I actually don't think that.

    ReplyDelete
  38. sadly, i don't think so...the only difference is that it would be Coulson on Gonzale's place right now..

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yes. If Jiaying is anything, she is smart. Without knowing it, Gonzales kinda brought his own death on himself. When Gonzales came instead of Coulson, that already should ring bells in Jiaying's mind. When he said that his pain and Jiaying's pain were the same...they were not. Like she said, she was hacked to pieces and put back together only to find out Shield took their daughter. On top of that, he basically wanted to give Inhumans a gold star and then imprison those they deem "dangerous"...sound familiar? (Hitler) Jiaying has lived a lived through a lot...and if it's one thing she knows, it's that humans do disciple things. She is basically watching history repeat itself, and she thought she would do something about that.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I don't think what Ward wanted was Bobbi but rather the Quinjet. Ward could care less about Bobbi, it's Kara who has a beef with her and apparently with good reason: she sold her out to Whitehall.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Greice Moreira6 May 2015 at 03:48

They are her work family that's for sure, but I'm talking about family ties, heritage and culture, and it's just sad that she'll lose that. There will always be a gap on her identity that can't be fulfilled.

    ReplyDelete
  42. if it's Skye, it will ALWAYS be in the best interest of her, they even brought it up here, Skye is for all intents and purposes Phil Coulson's daughter. He would NEVER in a million years betray Skye, not while he's still breathing, i HAVE to believe that

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think she will be by her own for a little time yeah..maybe even in the beggining of S3..but of course she will be back at the team..they are her family

    ReplyDelete
  44. Awesome episode. So much craziness. I thought Gonzalez was going to try something shady but who knew..he was actually being nice! Oh well, not sad that he's gone. While jiaying is crazy for starting a war, I kind of agree about her point about what gives anyone the right to put ppl on the index and monitor them. I mean they've been in existence for how many years and the only issue was Bahrain (Well, that we know of). But anyway. . I'm sad for Skye. She's going to side with the inhumans and then realize it was her mom who started the war and she'll have no one.
Also, I was actually thinking ward did a good thing with helping Kara return to shield last week but I should have know better! Obviously bobbi will be ok b/c of the spinoff (at least I hope so) but I hope they don't brain wash her. That would piss me off b/c I like bobbi. I mean what could she have done to help kara? She was undercover. Idk now I'm rambling... I just love this show. Can't wait for next week but I'm already dreading the summer hiatus!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. But Jiaying has beef with SHIELD, even Lincoln reacted negatively upon seeing the shield. Coulson is SHIELD, I honestly don't think she sees the difference, not even through Skye.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I alternate between anger and wanting to cry, tbh. But everyone's characterization seems off in 2B (aside from maybe Fitz). I call bullshit that Jemma is totally fine with killing somebody. Someone get her some help for that inevitable breakdown she's going to have from built up trauma.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm going to have to rewatch it, but it seems that Kara took the quinjet to a prearranged location with Ward. At one point Bobbi asks where the heck are they, right before Kara reveals herself. I'm thinking that this was part of their plan all along. What I want to know is what Ward's long game is. He's obviously got one now that he's gone all in for evil.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Justin Valdes6 May 2015 at 04:13

Oh yeah I remember Bobbi saying to Kara if she was sure about the coordinates because it seemed like they were touching down too early. Looks like it was all a plan from Kara/Ward. Ugh. And I'm very interesting in finding out what the writers are going to with Ward's endgame. Hopefully it has nothing to do with SHIELD.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Victoria Llanos6 May 2015 at 04:15

I want to believe so too, their relationship (Coulson's and Skye's) is one of the highlights of the show for me, but the thing about it is that as head of SHIELD I'm not so sure he'll go to the length he went to last season. I really want you tobe right, though...

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yeah, me too. I'm growing increasedly frustrated with all the ambiguity. -.-

    ReplyDelete
  51. What do you mean? The writers are clearly only messing up his character for shock value!
    (I'm being sarcastic, of course.)

    ReplyDelete
  52. I believe that "May" came to her and told her that Coulson wanted them to scout ahead, and Bobbi didn't realize that there were two Mays.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Great episode, although I'm worried about next week. I don't know how it will turn out but it seems like the show is repeating itself again with people splitting up and taking different sides, I'm getting tired of it.

I totally give up on Ward, the writers need to get their crap together and decide what they're doing with him.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Matt quiting was kinda off for me. Jiaying is hurt and resentfull and she listen no reasons. What are her plans exactly? drop little pieces of the transform storm to the earth and transform everyone?.
And what excactly is Kara and Ward doing?

    ReplyDelete
  55. This, the break the team/betray the team crp has been done to death onthis show at this stage, move on already!

And yeah Ward is "we don't need him but we can't kill him!"

    ReplyDelete
  56. It doesn't really have much of an impact either when they haven't even built their relationships back up yet.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Im still not covinced Ward HAS a true endgame. I think hes stuck as a highly trained agent caught between SHIELD, REAL SHIELD, HYDRA and the Inhumans. Hes more mercenary than anything now.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I recently got into this show and I can't seem to get enough of it. I had a feeling Raina couldn't be the obvious villain, while Jiaying being all calm and collected, was after peace. She makes Cal look almost sane... ALMOST!

Next week's promo looks great and the optimistic side of me hopes that Skye's "I never meant for this to happen" dialogue comes after her showdown with May... Perhaps she finds out the truth, perhaps she takes down Jiaying and Jiaying goes away to her temporary death (coz no one really seem to completely die in the Marvel world). Maybe that experience will make Skye realise what May went through in Bahrain and understand her better.

Without stretching this onto next season, I hope there is a satisfactory conclusion after the 2hrs. Next season they can undergo through the repercussions of the war. That underlying tension of "will he/she have my back, should something like this was to happen again". All the while tackling the next big villain.

Coulson is making me go all bipolar and I kinda gave up on Ward and his trigger happy actions, even though a part of me thinks, he must have some sorta big plan behind it. I really don't want anyone else to die. I saw John Wick before catching up with AoS, and I really hope Adrianne Palicki doesn't leave the show too soon.

    Apologies for the long post!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Awesome episode. The twist than I expected was all about Ward and Kara, and I know it than she had something to do with Bobbi. All about Jiaying was great, I think that is the only option that she could to take, go to war, but I never expected than the writers made that call. Like she said, she have had decades to remember what Whitehall did to her, I just hope she doesn't die in the end. This is what I like about this show, every character has a dark side, and that is why you can never know what to expect. Everything is a mess, to the end all we'll gonna need a session with Andrew, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  60. That seems plausible. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Even inhuman families have issues :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Hahahahahahahahhahaha, I'm so happy! Jiaying and Cal are awesome! Gonzales is dead, sue me for liking that.
I guess that's what Raina saw coming but we shall still see what really becomes of it. I still don't think Shield shouldn't be involved with Inhumans if they want to Index them all. Talk over the skype first and make peace treaties instead.

Mack was being Naive, but whatever.

And woo hoo Ward is still in action.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Is Bobbi Morse dead ?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Magneto is legit, always speaks from the revolutionary side those who were reveared in history while others against him that are good speaks out of the social norm side.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yea Raina may have good intentions but she just need to try more to help others trust her if she really wants to help her people now.
    I believe people can change.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Nothing wrong with that.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Blue Bullets = Icers = no

    ReplyDelete
  68. then Skye would've never forgiven her if she had killed Coulson

    ReplyDelete
  69. Wow. I didn't see that coming with Jiaying. After what Whitehall did to her, I get where she is coming from and I never liked Gonzales but I wish she hadn't done that. Starting a war with SHIELD isn't going to end well for anyone and what she is doing to her daughter is terrible. She knows how Skye feels about Coulson/ the team. I wonder if the result would have been different if Coulson had met with her instead of Gonzales or was this her plan all along?

I had a feeling Kara was up to something concerning Bobbi. Ward showing up surprised me though. I actually kind of believed he was sincere when he called Coulson last episode. I wonder what their plan is? Can't be good whatever it is. I'm worried for next week.

    ReplyDelete
  70. THE KARA THEORY WAS TRUE!!! I knew it!!!! I knew they still had a hidden agenda. Never for one second trust Ward, if you do then you die (or in Bobbi's case get shot by an icer).

The MCU is definitely using the Inhumans in a X-Men way, Jiaying is a bit of a Magneto! Fighting for Inhumans rights (which is good) but doing it in a terrible way (much like Magneto). Maybe Skye will become like a Proffessor X type character - keeping her people safe and trying to help humanity even if they don't want it.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I just said that she was like Magneto! I don't think the Inhumans are villains though, if we take the X-Men comparison then well as crazy as Magneto was he did have some good points, and I think it also means that not everyone of the Inhumans will agree with Jiaying's actions. Much like the X-Men, there are good people, people with good intentions who act in extreme ways, people with bad intentions, and people trying to stay neutral.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I knew it, Kara you're so a bad girl and damn I don't want to be Skye, the final episodes are gonna be epic and heartbreaking. But I think that Cal does have a plan, what is in those vials? A bio whepon maybe.

    ReplyDelete
  73. To be fair, unlike Eric who actively sought vengeance & revenge, until Gonzales showed up and started talking about indexing people Jiaying was more than happy to stay hidden and safe where she was.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Great episode.

    Interesting developments.

Thought I disagree with Jiaying handled the Gonzales situation I 100% see her POV.

Kinda glad Bobbi got her ass handed to her. Nice being undercover double agent and all. But honey lose the high moral ground when you give up one of your own to save your cover, and just pretend part of her being brainwashed and tortured wasn't you. I wonder if Kara would have reacted differently if instead of trying to see if she was made Bobbi had come straight out and apologised...?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Lets just hope he stays evil because evil Ward is a lot more interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I Believe he does have an endgame (a plot twist). Jeff Bell stated in an interview (regarding the season finale) that we will know exactly where Ward stands by the end of the season.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Ward's story arch is kind of useless if he just goes from being evil to "more evil". I think there is still a plot twist to come regarding Ward. I also agree that there are too much "betray the team storylines" right now.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Mack quitting was certainly off-putting. If the actor is just moving off, it would be better served to just leave it for the finale, but before it? It makes me think something bigger is on play. Maybe he and Lance go to save Bobbi?

    ReplyDelete
  79. oh don't get me wrong, i'm very sad that just when Skye found her birth mom she turns out to be a crazy warlord essentially (i can't come up with a good word) and she's heartbroken again but it just proves again and again that her TRUE family, blood or no blood is Coulson, May, Jemma and Leo

    ReplyDelete
  80. Only you were wrong because if I'm not mistaken you were claiming Jiaying had nefarious objectives from the get go, when she only acted the way she did (wrong and an overreaction as it was) only after Gonzales came to her home and started talking about cataloging her people...

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yeah she is less extreme than Erik but I can see where she is coming from and the horrors she must have witnessed in her long life can't help matters.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Oh, I definitely get her point and see how she's come to it too. And I agree it's very similar as to why Erik is the why he is too.

But I think it's important to point out that Erik's whole thing is to act without provocation, solely based on his experiences and his ideals. (and, don't get me wrong I feel for Erik. I do! He always has my sympathy, and I understand why he is the way he is. But despite that, he is in fact a terrorist and I know it's juvenile to say so, but he does usually "start" it.)

Jiaying, acted pre-emtivelly after she was told she and her people need to be indexed. It is somewhat different.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Phil asked her if Lincoln (and by definition her) was an actual person.
And May is even worse .Not only did she go to work for Gonzalez .When Skye points out that he tried to have her killed May throws in a 'Gonzalez is a good guy really' .So that whole, bullet in the brain thing sorry not sorry

    ReplyDelete
  84. Jiaying and Coulson have a lot in common to not make the situation as tense .Both failed to stay dead ,and Phil has all that Kree juice in his system. His compulsion to find the Hidden City ,his getting the Kree (Pete the Slightly Judgmental and his tiny, tiny truncheon) off the Inhumans tails.

But they sent in the guy who tried to kill her daughter instead.

    ReplyDelete
  85. God, that episode dragged. After all the built up all we got was talk. And talk. And even more talk. And mostly the talk went in familiar circles. The last five minutes were really not enough to make up for it.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Amazing (and intense) episode as always :)

I'm worried for Bobbi, but I know that she can fight back. Hope she's able to escape. Loved the connections with Age of Ultron/Agents of SHIELD, Coulson/Fury with the helicarrier. Very clever.

I have a feeling that everything (loyalties of the characters) will during/after the finale. Can't believe the finale is next week, this season has gone by so quickly. Really excited to see how the season ends.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Awesome episode. I really like how Skye's mom got rid of Gonzalez!!!!!

Poor Adama, I really liked its character :/
    Reina was right...

    ReplyDelete
  89. he does usually "start" it.

Ha he really does, I'm always so conflicted with Erik which is the point of the character!

    ReplyDelete
  90. IMO he's the most interesting, complicated and layered character Marvel has ever created.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Sarah van Binnebeke6 May 2015 at 10:23

    Team Cap all the way.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Interesting episode. I'm curious what will be Ward's plan and why Kara hates Bobbi that much that she wants to kill her.

I can very well understand Jiaying's point of view that she don't want the Inhumans to be registrated and controlled by SHIELD. It would be the end of the independce of the Inhuman culture, every nation all over the world would have denied that. But the way she handled the situation was very bad. You don't have to kill someone who comes to negitiate and you don't start a war over a lie. If Jiaying would have denied the registration of the Inhumans the outcome would have been nearly the same, SHIELD will try to registrate the Inhumans against their will. For me it looks, as if the showrunners needed a reason that Skye can stay with SHIELD, but I don't think it is a good way to portray the Inhumans, the hole thing could have been handled better.

Because of the upcoming movies it is predictable that the starting war will end without a winner.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I think is his cocktail he takes to be strong.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Sarah van Binnebeke6 May 2015 at 10:28

Jiaying said to Cal that the inhumans would not follow her in to war.
Now that they think Shield started it they wil. I think.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I think the kree stone being at SHIELD is what triggered her. Gonzales speech wasn't moving as well. Nobody will be able to compare their situation to what Jiaying went through. The index thing also make it easy for her. What she did was wrong but is easy to see her side. She cares about her people and wants to keep them safe. SHIELD and the stone threat that. The index alone puts SHIELD in control of the inhumans if they discover what the stone is then they are totally doomed. They could wipe out the inhumans if they feel like it.

  96. Ward is very selfless and is leaving Kara back at SHIELD of the great good from heart. Yeah, right?! He always has a goal and like a few suspected Bobbi did something to Kara while she was undercover, gave up her location, captured her or whatever now she wants revenge because is what Ward wants her to do so she can move forward like he did his family. Really healthy relationship those two have. Like Ward said, Coulson would help them to get to their end game.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Skye is the one who will be losing this battle but i would not call Jiaying crazy at all. I think the moment they found the kree stone that can end the inhuamns at SHIELD's ship they had a plan. They are going to the stone on the next episode becuase this is what they fear. While i think she would never be confortable with the putting all inhumans on the index i think her approach would be different if SHIELD didn't have the stone.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I hope she doesn't die either but in this war is going to be a miracle if she doesn't. Hopefully her powers protect her.

    ReplyDelete
  99. The thing is, if she would have denied the registration of the Inhumans I highly doubt SHIELD would just leave them alone. There would have been war anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I don't think they will ever move on with this. It's a spy show afterall. I'm kind of tired of so much betrayal coming from everyone too. Stoping being exciting after awhile.

    ReplyDelete
  101. We are supposed to know have an idea what the hell Ward wants at the end of the season and we will know for sure at season 3. So far he have been pointless on season 2.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Well, with whatever that stone is the show just introduced the only thing that could possibly kill her. Maybe she will die destroying the stone to protect her people, would be fitting. And the way the show introduced Jiaying with her saying that she won't live forever is a big hint that she won't survive.

    ReplyDelete
  103. The only reason Kara is going after Bobbi is because Ward put her on the revenge path. The one he thinks is the only solution to solve problems and move on. He did that with his family. This is the only type of resolution he knows. On episode 14 Kara just wanted to forget eveything and move on but Ward brought her a "gift" the Bakshi file and come up with the whole lets get him and to make you whole again crap. I feel bad for her. She seems like a nice person being manipulated by a master manipulator and obviously she will be the one getting screwed over in the end. I still can't believe they call them the most healthy relationship on the show. Bobbi won't die of course and since they refuse to get ride of Ward, Kara will get the short stick for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Like Gonzales said, good and bad people get powers. Some would be ok with the registration other won't. Some would choose war too and others don't. Jiaying mentioned not everyone would follow her to a war. Unless Jiaying is planning some kind of T-bomb (i think she mentioned she has a lot of crystals now thet she learned how to grow them) she was naive to start a war against SHIELD. She won't win this battle that's for sure. She will be lucky to get out alive. I expect a lot of inhumans spread around the world after the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I wonder if have anything to do woth the inhumans. Right now there isn't much to run to. It's SHIELD and inhumans storyline going foward he will need to fit in somehow or his character becomes useless. I thnk he will turn out to be an inhuman too.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Afterlife is just a small part of the Inhuman society. Should Afterlife fall it will cause attention for sure.

I think too that that the crystals are a hint for the T-Bomb.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I thought it was silly/naive of her knowing what she did to Kara and knowing what Kara can do, mask herself. May even mentioned she was still upset she can use her face to her.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Interesting theory! I read somewhere else that someone thought that Lincoln was in fact Tomas (Wards bro). Perhaps they are both inhumans..

    ReplyDelete
  109. She will find out the truth eventually and fight inhumans i just don't know how this will end for her.

    ReplyDelete
  110. So much for Ward's true honest intention with that phone call. I can't believe his fans keep falling for this. The same stuff over and over again. Doesn't matter what his true end game is if you are on his way you will get a lot of bullets.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Gaia Di Lorenzo6 May 2015 at 11:20

Philinda might not go back the way they were so sad " relationships are forever changed"

    ReplyDelete
  112. Skye is in desperate need to be away from SHIELD for awhile. I love the team and their relationship but it's clear she is being suffocated there. She will need to be on her own and put herself back up again. Yes, i think she will be completely broken after this season.

    ReplyDelete
  113. If he wants to still be SHIELD director he will need to make hard choices and sacrifice. The press relase for the finale tells you exactly that. He has his position as a director and now a board to answer to. With this war starting there is so much he can do to protect Skye who is in the middle of the cross fire. His first obligation is to SHIELD.

    ReplyDelete
  114. That phone call was basically uselless, just to fool people about him once again. There was no need for that.

    ReplyDelete
  115. A lot of his fans believe he is a comicbook character. He fits Hellfire characterisitcs so if they want to make him inhumans and give him powers they can do anytime now. A war between SHIELD and inhumans, terrigen crystals being used will open possibilities for anyone to be revealed as innhuman and transform. Season finale seems appropriated. Not sure about Lincoln being Thomas.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Is not going to be the big T-bomb from the comics but she has to have a plan or she starting this war is very stupid. I don't think she will succed but in this process i wonder who will end up killed and who more can transform. The season finale will be intense. This episode was build up.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Ever since they revealed Skye's parents were not dead as believed i knew they woudn't live for long. Both of them. Cal and Jiaying will die for sure. Not sure when. Could be on the finale or they will wait a little longer, but i expect at least one of them to die on the finale if not both. I don't believe Jiaying is a villain so she diying to protect the inhumans is fitting. This is her goal after all.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I don't think that Jiaying is building a T-Bomb right now but that the Inhumans already do research in that way. The T-Bomb won't come before "Infinity War". I think it will end with Afterlife destroyed, the Kree-stone destroyed/gone, some more or less major death and Skye back with Coulson.

    ReplyDelete
  119. You think? Because that would be surprising that he just handed over his secret weapon to SHIELD, just like that.

    ReplyDelete
  120. This is the only thing i didn't like about the episode. They made the inhumans start the war by manipulation basically setting them as bad guys so SHIELD can save the day and Skye go back to SHIELD. Although i don't think she will. They could have let Jiaying deny the SHIELD request which is absurd because they have no right to impose that to people who aren't causing any harm and i'm sure the war would end up starting the same way. The thing is that way SHIELD would be seen as the bad guys and you can't have that on a show called Agents of SHIELD. I was afraid this show would go predictable route turning inhumans into bad guys and they did.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Yeah, they could have handled that much better. Now they have the big problem to restore the reputation of the Inhumans. With "Civil War" coming next, that won't be easy. As they are going that route it's also not a good forshadowing for "Civil War" itself.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Is true. what she did was the motivation to her people to follow her. The thing is, if she had denied the request the end result would be the same. SHIELD would not pack their bags, go home and leave them alone. This is was not an option. Jiaying would never accept SHIELD tagging them either so the meeting was always going to end up the same way, but the writers choose to go into the Jiaying manipulation act route. Which is sad really.

    ReplyDelete
  123. People already tend to see SHIELD as the good guys who will always win because Coulson and his team and now they do that. Poor inhumans. They stand no chance.

    ReplyDelete
  124. He didn't turn himself over to be the good guy like he said. It was probably part of the start the war plan so technically he didn't hand over. He took to be strong and break out of SHIELD custody. Maybe even kill Coulson. We know he hates him. I guess we know now who Coulson and Fitzsimmons are poiting their guns at.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I don't think she is building a bomb but i think she has plans to tranforms more of them because how else is she going to fight this war against SHIELD? The new crystals they designed have parts of the diviners on them so they are weapons. They can transform inhumans and will kill who isn't but not sure how much that is helpful because Hydra had a similar weapon and Shield could handle just fine.

    ReplyDelete
  126. It's the same as with Ward. No matter what he does, at the end he is a main character and at least he will receiveforgiveness, or even the girl.

With "Civil War" coming at the end of S3, SHIELD will be most likely on the registration trip. In the comics interestingly Daisy Johnson took over the leadership over SHIELD to handle the situation with powered people.

    ReplyDelete
  127. With that she would broke any rules of the Inhumans, would put herself offside and it would make her more or less a supervillain. It would be the same as when SHIELD would use the Kree-stone against the Inhumans.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I don't like Gonzales but she murdered the man in cold blood to start an unnecessary war.

    ReplyDelete
  129. They made inhumans start the war!!! Seriously!! I thought they were good guys who just wanted to be left alone. I wish they had approached this in a different way. Not that I don't understand Jiaying's motives. She just don't want her people be branded. Love Diechen Lachman. She is awesome. I am not torn up about Gonzales he irritated me.

Cal is going to go Mr. Hyde on the Quinjet. It is going to be fun how May deals with it. Simmons is alone with the inhumans now. I wonder how it will play out next episode for her.

I am excited to know what Ward's end game is? He is such a wild card.

I hope next season this divison will be over and the team will start working together. I am tired of all the characters standing at different corners. I want a unified team back working together to face enemies. Excited for season finale.

  130. Sarah van Binnebeke6 May 2015 at 12:59

This is faster everyone should be on board now.
If she had not done this, there probably would still be war but after negotiations, debates, people with opinions about the right cours of action enz...

    ReplyDelete
  131. Yeah, it's faster and the audience can now blame the Inhumans and not SHIELD for starting the war, otherwise the titular organisation of the show would have been the villain and that just may not be.

    ReplyDelete
  132. So have the remaining diviners and Jiaying was growing more crystals from them. The crystals don't harm the humans but the ones who originated from the diviners do because they couldn't totally separated both of them. She will probably use this as the weapon against shield. Transforming inhumans are killing who isn't. I think they ultimate goals is to get ride of the kree stone because someone finding out what it is and use against them.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I think Skye will eventually take that role. Not as a director (too soon), but as a bridge between the two groups. Her character will be very important on season 3 storyline. It depends how she ends the season. She said she doesn't know where she stands anymore and i don't think this will change so fast so it might take awhile but she will get there.

    ReplyDelete
  134. but when you go to war you have to defend yourself. Shield will attack. Could be that she is just trying to destroy the kree/stone and then will run away and hide some place else. Build another afterlife where inhumans can be left alone.

    ReplyDelete
  135. you don't think the war was going to start anyway? Shield woulnd't leave them alone. They fear them and have the tagging protocol which is all the inhumans didn't want. They wanted to be left alone. They lived countless generation in peace and in secret. What she did was wrong, no doubt, but the war would start anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Cal is gonna die for sure. The talk with Skye was a goodbye. But, I'm thinking than Jiaying could be punished by his people, by the elders, for start a war and maybe she will desappear or she will have to run away. She said than his people know what I mother can do for her daughter, this could be the reason than they see for his actions. I don´t know, anything can happen.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Greice Moreira6 May 2015 at 14:11

I don't agree with it. Jiaying isn't a warlord. Shield came bringing war to her doorsteps, on the possession of a weapon that can eradicate them and wanting to tag them as the Nazzis did. How could the outcome be any different? Its like invading a country then criticizing its people for fighting back and not accepting it. She is a beautiful person, compassionate toward her people, a great leader who will do anything to protect them and who absolutely adores her daughter. Skye took a lot from her mother including manilupating Ward when she realized he was a threat and shooting him on the back. Shield is no different from Ward for the Inhumans, they are dangerous to them. Cal is mentally ill, but he is fun and smart and loves his family more than anything, Skye took a lot from him too. No family is perfect, but it's love which bond them together and there is no lack of love on Skye family. But the fact that Coulson and Cia are always shown as having the higher ground, perfect and cut clean, it seems like they are good and Inhumans bad. This is just stupid. And if Skye thinks that her mother is anything less than awesome, I'll absolutely hate it.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Greice Moreira6 May 2015 at 14:15

Yeah and the fact is that the Inhumans were neutral but Shield forced their hand.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Also, I think the thing Skye will keep in mind, and that we should too, is that just because Jaiying went off the deep end in her reaction to Gonzales, that in no way means that the Inhumans as a whole are bad. She started this war, but it was coming anyway and she's manipulating everyone into following her.
I mean, Coulson and the team aside, who should Skye and the Inhumans trust; the guy who hates powered people, calls them things, and tried to have Skye killed for existing; or Jaiying, the woman who's been leading Afterlife for centuries, helped all of them cope, and is Skye's mom?
I know who I'd trust if I were them.

  140. Historical_Materialist6 May 2015 at 14:28

Fitz: "I wanted to..kill him too, but I couldn't.... means we're better than him."

Yes, Leo. That's right. Ward is still alive because you stopped yourself from killing him. Sure. Ah Leo, you're such a little boy.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Pretty much. Feels like they're dragging Ward's story because his big overarching arc is season 3 material.

Makes sense, think about it: CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR is about a political element, the Superhuman Registration Act, dividing the heroes in two factions. The movie will likely start with a Stamford-like incident leading to the the bill being quickly approved, which means the preceding political debate would be wholly taken out of it. Where's the ideal place to expand on it? Agents of SHIELD. And what's the biggest connection the show has to the political arena? Christian Ward. This is one of the major reasons why I think Christian Ward is not really dead, the other being the inability to conceive them bringing Thomas Ward into the story - which as you remember I believe to be Lincoln - while Christian remais dead.

Side note: Thomas being season 3 material would also explain why Lincoln has been mostly wallpaper in the story since he was introduced.

    ReplyDelete
  142. If they are keeping him on the show at least give him something to do. I'm not big Ward fan but if they give him something interesting to do i'm all for it. Is looking more likely that they will reveal him as Hellfire maybe/problably inhuman too so another thing to do add to his character going into season 3.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Great theory seriously =)

    ReplyDelete
  144. It's not the point that SHIELD will attack, but Jiaying said herself that the Inhumans have very strict rules for the process to go through the mist. And use them crystals as weapons and transform people who don't even know, that they are Inhumans would be a really huge thing. Should the Inhumans from Afterlife really do that I wouldn't be surprised if there would be consequences for them also from inhuman side.

    ReplyDelete
  145. He meant when he removed the oxygen from Ward's cell and nearly killed him in episode 3.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Historical_Materialist6 May 2015 at 17:25

You're right I forgot about that.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Exactly, you would think dealing with Hydra and now Inhumans would provide enough Spy type issues. The constant breaking up the team, and inter team betrayal is just getting beyond a joke. What you had Skye lying about her reasons for joining up, May spying on Coulson, Ward, the few times FitzSimmons have gone behind peoples backs, the whole other Shield arc (that clearly could have been easily avoided), now Kara and Skye again...

    ReplyDelete
  148. Something that is bothering me is in the flashback at the start of this episode. We hear clearly that at this point in time Hartley was still alive (They're drinking Billy's beer) and when Coulson opens the door to reveal the Helicarrier there is a Quinjet parked on it.

So if they had a Quinjet at that point in time why the hell was stealing one in the season opener/first episode such a make or break moment? Why the risk if they could have used the cloaking tech from the one on the helicarrier?

    ReplyDelete
  149. It's SHIELD and their messed up system. Coulson risked lives for something so small. The first few episode of the season become ridiculous after you see the whole picture. SHIELD is full of flaws and mistakes.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Holy crap, you're right. Talk about a continuity error. And Coulson's lack of resources in the begining of the season wasn't some minor plot point, it was darn important, hence their putting everything on the line just to steal ONE Quinjet.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I was thinking that this was an older model that may have been decommissioned and did not have the cloaking technology. (Maybe it never had it or maybe it was stripped during decommissioning.) Neither Hydra not the US military found it because it was supposed to be junk. They needed to get a recent model to get the technology so they could reverse engineer it for the helicarrier. At least this is my head cannon.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Yeah, I thought Age of Ultron would be darker than it ended up being, given the first trailer. Sure, there were a couple of sad events when all was said and done (a certain character dying and another character leaving, sorta - I'll remain vague for the benefit of those who haven't seen it yet), but it didn't fundamentally alter the playing field in any way. There don't appear to be any lasting consequences from Ultron's attack. Ultimately, the bad guys lost, the good guys won and went home. The end.

In AoS, it's rarely a clean-cut win, there are always consequences. Whatever happens next week, it's clear that many relationships will be damaged and the world of the show won't be one big happy place at the end of the season. So while the movies provide the pure popcorn entertainment with amazing big-scale action scenes, stunts and effects, plus lots of witty one-liners, it's the TV realm where things are more grim, nuanced and complex.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Jeff Bell said in an interview with TV Guide Magazine that Cal is going to go all Mr. Hyde (finally!) in the season finale. Well, in so many words, but he better not have been leading us on.

well...it's odd how i don't feel like blaming the 'bad' guys in this one

if bobby was there while kara was being brainwashed and tortured and let it happen to keep her cover...well, yes, i can c y kara would be pissed at that. what c went through destroyed her identity completely, her personality, and knowing that someone just stood and watched...even worse if bobbi delivered her herself to solidify her own cover... hydra wasn't just torturing people, they were annihilating them and using their bodies as puppets.

and then Jiaying ...yes, one might claim that her action of killing off gonzales on the go and 'unprovoked' was a bit much. on the other hand she was there for WW2 and the nazis started off with just registration first, and what followed was concentration camps and executions. add to that that Jianying has no actual reason to differentiate between shield and hydra at this point, not when one has been part of the other since the get go. and not when they stated they were coming to just talk but 1. another person that the one agreed showed up, 2. they came with three armored war planes AND a lot of armed men, 3. they demanded registration -the personal info of everyone- with no reason, since none of the people that would be forced to divulge their personal info etc had committed a crime or was suspect of one, and not offering to sign even a treaty as one nation to another. they didn't even recognize them as a nation or a race! they flat out declared that they only saw them as potential future threats! so i can c where c's coming as well. the hell i'd give anyone the chance to get a foothold like that and wipe away my family if i was in her place so... and, no, them having superpowers is not any kind of excuse! not in our century when any idiot can be equally if not more so destructive with a bomb they've made of with house supplies and info from the internet. having powers does not equal potentially dangerous. nope. any vanilla human with a knife can be dangerous as well. we're not treating anyone as a future terrorist r we? cuz as captain america put it, that's not freedom, it's a fear

    ReplyDelete
  155. The hole situation reminds very much on 1939 as the Third Reich shattered Czechia and blackmailed England and France among other things witht the threat to bomb Prague if had not given up. If Jiaying would have accepted SHIELD would have been in total control over the Inhumans (at least in Afterlife). Coulson said to Skye that the registration of the Inhumans would be just the minimum level and he just don't know yet how od and big their society is.

The Theta protocol was kind of a let down, a Helicarrier as reason for Real SHIELD, really?!

    ReplyDelete
  156. And can't even take anyone who keeps defending Ward at this point seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  157. I know right. And as much as they say that's not true, if ward was played by say Patton Oswalt, they would have no trouble calling him the bad guy.

    ReplyDelete
  158. This episode had so many false alarms. At first we were to believe that Raina was lying but she wasn't. and then we were to think that Gonzalez wanted to harm the Inhumans but he really didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Wow, I feel so betrayed right now. I really thought Jaiying was nice, but even if she didn't want her people to be indexed, she brutally killed Gonzalez and started a war between SHEILD and Inhumans.

So many twists in this episodes. At first we were thought to believe that Gonzelez had an agenda and it turned out that he was actually being nice. And we were thought to believe that Raina was lying and just wanted to bring chaos, but she was actually telling the truth.

And how can people continue to support Ward and say he will be redeemed. I can't even take such people seriously.

And I feel bad for Skye. She finally found her mom but turns out that she is batshit crazy like her dad.

    ReplyDelete
  160. The thing about Ward/Kara in this episode is that there's one element in the whole Kara brainwash mess that has been glossed over so far, but apparently will be playing a role in the finale: how did HYDRA find her. That seemed to be the subtext of Kara's snapping towards Bobbi, and the fact that Ward asked her to hold off killing her because reasons makes me think that Coulson may have had a role in it.

In 2x03 Coulson arrives from a trip telling May that he didn't get to Kara to recruit her before HYDRA did. We then later found out that these trips weren't for recruiting at all, so what did he really do in the trip supposedly intended to recruit Kara? I think that's Ward and Kara's engame for the finale: corner Coulson to get him to admit his responsibility in Kara's mental mess. And yeah, probably kill him for this too.

To sum it all, this is the last piece of the puzzle Kara needs to achieve closure with damage she suffered from Whitehall.

    ReplyDelete
  161. So just so I'm clear: Ward gets a pass on everything he does because of his abusive past.

However Jiaying who's been prosecuted and hunted and has had to stay hidden her whole life for being different, has been literally hacked to pieces, has had her family torn apart and has lived long enough to see history repeat itself over and over and is a cold blooded murdering psycho?

I won't defend what she did, but up until this moment she hadn't done anything to provoke humanity. Her main goal has been to keep her people hidden and safe. And now someone comes in and tells her Inhumans have to be monitored and policed and watched over like they are wild animals. Twist it any way you want, but despite Gonzales being all dimplomatic and polite he was more or less asking to stitch David's starts on her people's sleeves. The new age tech version of that sure, but exactly that none the less.
She acted preemptively, rashly, and yes even coldly, and it will bite her in the ass. But her perspective is valid. And her motivations are far from being selfish. She is trying to protect her people.

    ReplyDelete
  162. She's putting her people in danger by starting an unnecessary war. That's all there is to it.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Yeah, I get it... better roll over and let people who have done nothing but hunt and prosecute what's different do what they want with her people. [/SARCASM]

There is a threshold as to how much abuse one is willing to take. I get her having reached the point where she had enough. She had done nothing, and Gonzales came into her HOME and told her that Inhumans were going to be de facto dog-tagged for the mere fact that they are not the same as he is.

As I said she acted rashly and harshly and it will bite her in the ass and yes, this does put her people in danger. However they were in danger anyway.
Gonzales wasn't there to negotiate and talk terms. He was there to tell her what was going to happen. Because I think it was clear if Jiaying didn't hand her people over, they were going to make her hand them over. And in the end she owes SHIELD nothing to have to sit there and comply with their rules.

    ReplyDelete
  164. But nevertheless he set her on the index and let Jemma change it the way that it will become the Registration Act, that will most likely be the death of his biggest hero Captain America. Also if he loves her like a daughter he is still the director of SHIELD and acts that way.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I think it's an accumulation of things that led to her doing that, and yes that Kree stone and it being in SHIELD possession was a factor, but I don't think it was what triggered the reaction.

Even when she had this information and was talking to Cal and was processing trying to decide what to do, she didn't seem to be willing to go to war.
It was when Gonzales showed up, gave her a "gift" as a piece offering, compared his situation with hers and then threw the bomb that "Oh! BTW, we're just gonna tag you all because you're potentially dangerous" is what really pushed her over.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Testify!!!

There's being a villain, and then there's committing a specific act that's clearly wrong, but also understandable given the person's history and the circumstances. Jiaying's murder of Gonzales is the latter.

And honestly, anyone who "Stand[s] With Ward" really shouldn't be saying anything, about any character. You want to support a murderer because of his abusive past? Go ahead, but in that case, you have zero right to harp about Mack, Simmons, Jiaying, Gonzales, or even the clearly-insane Cal. (Let's not even get started on Lincoln: "I don't trust him and he should die because... yeah... no reason. But SKYEWARD!!! So yeah, Lincoln sucks.")

Did you ask yourself why Adama calls the necklace box an "insurance policy"? (around 30:00).

    ReplyDelete
  168. I agree about the acumulation of things but if you noticed Jiaying was already arranging the crystals even before Skye show up with the news Shield found them and wanted to meet And it was after they found the kree stone on shield ship. It look like she had a plan to at least deal with that which was understandble. She was probably pondering the risk of letting the stone on shield possession or trying to go after and destroy. Then Shield and Gonzales made the situation worse, prompting her to do what she did. Now the inhumans will back her up in this war.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Actually she explained to Gonzales, that she has been experimenting with crystals because they were running low on diviners and they were looking for ways to create more diviners once they ran out so they could continue to survive as a race.
That had nothing to do with her learning that SHIELD had the Kree stone.

Tell me about it. They used it as to emotionally manipulate her because she's a mother and the only thing they knew about her was that she's Skye's mother. Guys what if SHIELD "indexed" Jiaying when they initially saved her from Whitehall. I mean Jiaying was the. "Women caged" that Peggy Carter mentioned in flashbacks and Whitehall told her she may have powers. So what if Peggy Carter indexed her just in case and that's how Whitehall found her again. Whitehall was freed by Hydra double agents within SHIELD. What if they found the information and that's how she was captured. Maybe that's why she freaked when Gonzolas said they'd index them?

  172. You do have a point, but I can believe it happening because I was also fooled by her (as I'm sure many others in the audience were), even though I actually saw that May was in two places at once.
