  2. Grodd is just awesome but kinda scary. The supersonic boom punch was pretty cool though :)

Joe is the best: “I came here looking for a supernatural Gorilla, I’m terrified of regular Gorillas” :)
Really nice moment between Iris and Barry, what he said to here was nice.

That ending, “time to go home.” Interesting :)

  3. Cisco was so funny but he is every episode. I love his character. But besides him Iris finding out Barry was the flash wasn't what I expected I thought she been more into it but I liked what they did with her joining the group this episode. The Flash has great effects for a TV Series it's so cool Gorilla Grodd was cool too.

  5. My feels are ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! This episode was dream come true for me. Ohh how I loved it. I think I'll make this short tonight. I just want to start off with....

"I... AM....GRODD. FEAR ME!!" ^%$%^$%#$%%!!! I FANGIRLED MY ASS OFF!!! And I absolutely love how they are using him. He looks awesome, he sounds awesome, he's not talking out of his mouth like he's supposed to, but he's talking telepathically, so that's good enough for me. I like it. His fight with Barry was TOTALLY WICKED! I wanted moreeeee! Oh there will be more!

So Iris knows. I didn't like the way she went about exposing herself, and didn't like that she blamed Joe, so I'm glad Barry told Iris to blame him and not Joe. I loved that whole scene, them arguing about truth and whatnot....ohhh here it comes....

MY WEST-ALLEN FEELS!!!! God!! They're killing me!! I love it! The flashes of Barry's thoughts in the subway. Then the rooftop conversation which was sooo sexy! "Without you Iris there would be no Flash." GAH! So true!!! They're sooo meant to be. Could they be any cuter. Gahhh!

Wells and Eddie- Oh Eddie, sorry you had to be shown that paper, but that's Zoom's way. He's the ultimate dick. Lovee it! But seriously did he have to throw the ring like that?? I mean hell it's still a nice ring, AND you know he spent money on it. Rude much..Wells???

Cisco had some great lines!!! I WATCH MOVIES CISCO! And I was on top of everything you said!! Unfortunately, I can't remember any of them, b/c I'm too busy fangirling over GRODD CLIMBING THAT BUILDING!!! Omg!!! Ok wait I have to push through. I got a few quotes:

    Grodd as Eiling: "Eiling bad."
Caitlin:" Maybe it's some kind of psychotic break presenting itself as dissociative identity disorder?"
    Grodd as Eiling: "Caitlin...Caitlin good."
Caitlin: " Oh uh, thank you?" Hahahahahahaha
Cisco: "Forget multiple personalities you guys have seen The Exorcist right?"
    Joe: "You and your movies."

Joe: "Give me that banana." "I can't believe I'm down here looking for a supernatural gorilla. I'm terrified of regular gorillas." Hahahahahahaha

Cisco: "I think we know what happens when a super-intelligent ape who's pissed off at humans escapes captivity." (He said in his mad scientist voice) HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Cisco: "What was his lair like? Did he eat the banana? Does he like King Kong? He's more of a Planet of The Apes kinda ape?"

SO ME!!! (When I go off the deep end, you know it's true, with my multiple questions) Omg somebody Cisco my phone number. Lol

AND DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT PROMO FOR NEXT WEEK???? "YOU CAN'T FIGHT ALL THREE OF US." AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! SO HYPED!!!

The Grodd stuff was pretty awesome (which is saying something considering I am not usually a nerd about the sci fi stuff), but all the Barry and Iris stuff was what got me. Every interaction they had tonight felt so real and you could feel every emotional moment. Ugh and when hearing her/thinking of her saved him.....I lost it! And now Eddie knows they're meant to be too.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Never though Grodd would work this well on a CW-budget

    ReplyDelete
  8. I've really learned something this season never doubt these effect guys.

    ReplyDelete
  9. So that happened. And was utterly awesome. Everything about Grodd was so cool (btw love the helmet Barry wore nice reverse from how Grodd used one), loved how Iris finding out was handled. And Eobard. What can I say? He's my favourite comic mass murdering time traveling psychopathic and second favourite psychopathic after well the green haired man himself. So happy to see Eobard b himself and so delightfully evil. Plus Tom's killing it, and you can rally see why he wanted to take the role dude loves it. Poor Eddie, he's more of a punching bag even more than Tommy.

  10. I loved this episode!!! i am team WEST-ALLEN all the way!!! i hate that Iris was a little bit whinny but it is expected i mean the girl has been lied to for MONTHS by EVERYONE lol. I was hoping they kissed at the end the way they was looking at each other ..and then she brings up eddie...ugh lol. overall great episode ...Grodd had me freaking out,..i didnt want him to hurt joe! and I really cant wait to see more ronnie...i like him and catlin...

  11. In the comics (more specifically Flash: Rebirth) Iris is called Barry's lightning rod. Her love for him, and his for her grounds him so to speak and serves as a connection to keep him from ever losing himself in the Speed Force (it helped him when for years he was trapped there) and maintain control and power over himself and his speed so that he doesn't ever become one permanently with the Speed Force). It's a thing most Speedsters have. Well unlike people like Eobard. Which is what she served as tonight I suppose.

  12. anyonr notice how weird joe's reactions have been? Last week's episode he broke out in really weird girly laughter and this week he is crying and pleading for help and acting like the damsel in distress archtype - all not consistent with his character at all.
Anywho, the episode was cool. Grodd is pure awesomeness

    ReplyDelete
  13. They are so meant to be and I LOVE it. I felt like that's what she did tonight that's why I asked.
A side question, did you read that whole novel I wrote or you just saw your name by luck? lol

    ReplyDelete
  14. You are so right about the headgear!! I didn't catch it. I was too busy yelling, "put it back on, put it back on!" LOL

    ReplyDelete
  15. Lol I read it. Nice read. Especially liked what you said about Iris finding out.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Great episode. A lot of welcome focus on Iris and her justified anger at Joe and Barry.

So, where did Grodd go? Still out there somewhere? Why did he climb that building and leap off of it? Just because it looked cool?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sorry, I wasn't really here. i was watching One of my season finales. But i see Graydon answered you, so i'm off the hook. lol And Barry didn't know that Eiling knew that he was The Flash.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I knew you were going to do that. And i purposely made mine short. But this time it was actually short. lol

    ReplyDelete
  19. What kind of a fan would I be if I let that opportunity go? I had to do it lol
I was surprised that it was truly ahort. Usually when you say "I'll keep that short" it means I have to clear my schedule for the day to read the comment :P

The train scene where Barry was focusing on Iris's voice was soooo cringy and corny lol, anything that included Iris was shit but the rest of the episode was awesome, especially GRODD.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Good. I'm not a big fan of Iris

  22. Justin Valdes6 May 2015 at 06:30

    Awesome!!! Not God...GRODD.

    - Grodd's introduction was absolutely perfect, nothing could have made it better. And his fight scenes with Barry were the highlight of the episode for me. So awesome when Barry tried to use the supersonic punch on Grodd and it didn't work whatsoever XD No way was that going to take out a super strengthened gorilla. Can't wait till he shows up again!

    - My WestAllen shipper heart was burning with fire all throughout this episode! Loved the scene where Iris gave Barry a pep talk so he can defeat Grodd. And when he said that the thought of her always keeps him moving was so adorable, aww <33 More Iris helping out the team please!! That was awesome.

    - Poor Eddie being shown the newspaper by Wells so he can so show him that Iris marries Barry in 2024. And I REALLY felt bad for him when Wells told him that he's the most useless part of the Thawne family. Ouch. He felt so broken.

    - Is Wells trying to travel back to 2024 with Eddie by his side? Very interesting. Also loved all the movie references by Cisco! Keep 'em coming, show!

The show just keeps getting better. I'm glad that iris is part of the team now and we got some amazing Westallen scenes. A++++ episode.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Eobard wants to return to the 25th century. He wants to kill Barry though.

    ReplyDelete
  25. An Ok episode. Loved the Grodd/Wells parts. Hated that the show was comparing Barry keeping a secret to Iris hiding her feelings. Also i was promised Iris angry as hell so that aspect was a complete let down. And my poor Eddie i just want to hug him.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Not one of my favorite episodes, but I can see where others would love it.

I liked General Eiling being remote controlled by Grodd, but Grodd itself was no good for me. I know they could not use a real gorilla and the VFX were okay for network TV I suppose, but I rarely like complete CGI creatures and this was no exception. It just looked so fake to me, but admittedly I am hyper-critical of CGI since even some of the best CGI looks ridiculously fake to me. I blame whatever it is about my eyes or brain interpreting it, but it is what it is...

I had issues with how Iris reacted to Barry being the Flash. I never understand any character who gets upset when a hero's identity turns out to be their friend/ relative etc. It is such a selfish perspective. Period.

That said, I did like Iris working with Team Flash as they came together without Wells. I thought Iris using the old "You can do it" to pull Barry out of his paralysis was completely sappy (like I did the first two episodes when Wells did something similar), but once the initial sappiness and Iris's attitude about Barry being The Flash wears off I think I could start to enjoy Iris much more.

Wells secret hide out may look like a basement cellar but it has some serious tech and is more than meets the eye! What did his key unlock exactly? Wow!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Finally Iris knows, got that out of the way S1, yay.
Grodd was fun, I like talking animal superheroes or supervillans. He ducking countered the Mach punch with force, nice.

Also hope Iris being mad is also over with this episode.

Let Team Flash live on without Wells and hopefully Iris helps out each week, and not just from her outside office.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Awesome episode, Iris knowing shows a lot of great new opportunities.

    ReplyDelete
  29. That was super GRODDSOME!!! The episode was divided into 3 parts GRODD, Iris and Wells/Eddie

    - GRODD!! Everything about this super intelligent telepathic gorilla was awesome. I loved loved his introduction. Joe being super scared of him made me so sad. GRODD controlling Eiling was super cool and now that ass hat is an ally. I don't trust Eiling but Barry needs all the help against Wells.
EILING BAD, CAITLIN GOOD, I AM GRODD.... FEAR... ME.. It was all awesome

    - Iris knowing the secret. Her anger was justified at Joe and Barry. And I am glad they did not drag it out for lot of episodes like Arrow does. She was angry, they were remorseful, they apologized, she understood their position and now we can move forward. Super. Barry/Iris feels were in full force this episode. Her grounding Barry was good as well as super cheesy. But apart from that every one of their interactions about the lies and the last scene at the roof top was so beautiful. I wish Arrow would learn from Flash and realize that conflicts being resolved sooner is a good thing. I really loved Joe and Iris last scene. Jesse L. Martin still wows me. I also liked the camaraderie they portrayed between Iris and Caitlin.

    - Wells the douche bag. He was hiding out under the particle accelerator. Poor Eddie. His face when he saw that newspaper article was so pathetic. So Eobard is a genius at his time and Eddie is the not so remarkable Thawne. I have a feeling Eddie is going to become another version of RF after Wells go back to the future.

CIsco had some good lines too. I think Caitlin and Cisco are slowly gaining confidence back without Wells. So next week it is prison break time with douche bag Wells letting every meta human out. I can't wait to see Oliver facing RF. Our scarlet speedster will have his hands full next episode.

    ReplyDelete
  30. That or Cold does it. But Eobard is the kind of dick who would. Oliver's gonna be curb stomped. He'd land hits, and wouldd be helpful but it's Professor Zoom. And he's done this battle with a better Green Arrow and The Flash countless times.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I disagree. Not telling Iris literally did nothing to protect her and actually would have seriously helped. And it's blatantly dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  32. You want a pissed off Iris? Why. She was angry then she moved on.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think the last scene proves it was Eobard and I have a feeling Barry and Joe are going to ask for Cold's help to put the meta humans back in the pipeline.
Oliver is so outmatched with Eobard. But he is not alone. Its 3 against one. If Barry or Firestorm will delay him a bit Oliver can pull off some shots.
I have a feeling they will succeed somehow and Barry will put Eobard into the pipeline next episode. Maybe from there he will manipulate Barry into saving his mom in the last episode. I am a bit concerned about them doing FLASHPOINT (if they are doing it) in just one episode. I expected at least two episodes dedicated to that.

    ReplyDelete
  34. According to the synopsis Cold has a plan regarding the pipeline so he could help put them back or break them out, or help fight Thawne (his gun is perfect for that). It would probably be Barry whose getting support and delay help in the fight. Maybe, but it won't last long, what with the footage of Barry in the past seeing that tonight 15 years ago probably being from 1x23. If they're doing Flashpoint it will be a multi-episode thing, or a resolution to this season's cliffhanger. It won't be one episode. Way too big a story arc. I'd be surprised if the thought they could put the apocalypse, the reboot of the universe, and one of the most dark universes in DC in one episode. But when it does happen oh man so cool. Between flashpoint, Wally West, and a potential future arc in the 30th century and Bart Allen I can't wait to see what this show will do over the next few years.

Loved it! My favourite of the series so far. Griff was threatening, loved his psychic powers, Wells was awesome as a villian again. Loved the Barry/Iris stuff and of course Cisco was fantastic again.
Great Ep, I'm looking forward to the next one.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think since Cold is going to be a part of new show we will see him doing some good deeds this episode even though he will have his own agenda behind his actions.

Of course it won't last long. Eobard is too cunning and he built the particle accelerator. If anyone can break out it is Wells. I sincerely hope they just hint on Flashpoint this season and not do it in ep. 23. I hope they do it in first two episodes of season 2. I say this because we have a shared universe with Arrow and 5 months needs to pass in between two seasons. I don't know how they will pull it off in episode 23.

I am so excited for season 2. All the possibilities with this show. And its been a long time since I have liked every one of the regular stars and recurring characters on a show. I love every single one of them. I think for me the last time it happened was during Leverage. I hope DC movie universe won't put breaks to our show and deny them characters and exciting story lines. I am scared for how the movie Flash is going to affect our show.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I didnt like how Iris anger only lasted for 1 episode. Interviews seem to imply it will be glorious, so feel let down a bit. But then it seems on the Flash conflicts get resolved very quickly. I would have loved getting more POV of angry Iris.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I was so excited after the episode I forgot our deal. I'm ashamed of myself.
Next episode is going to be awesome. The Scarlet Speedster, the Emerald Archer (don't care what his name is now he's still Oliver) and Firestorm working together. The episode will be all kinds of epic and awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I have only kept my deal for the Flash. Somehow it is easy to call Barry the Scarlet Speedster than calling Oliver the Emrald Archer. I have this feeling Barry would give me a Hi Five and Oliver would punch me if I call him that. LOL. Next episode is going to be super EPIC. Arrow, Flash, Firestorm team up. Meta human break out. Captain Cold and his sister may help the team. So much awesome going on.

How cool was the way they integrated Iris and moved forward her relationship with Barry. It was done well and swiftly. Instead of dragging the hurt feelings of Iris and make us want to punch her they made the characters talk and resolved all the issues in one episode. Now I want MG to sit down and make him watch this episode over and over until he learns dragging secrets and conflicts are not a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Gave it an OK. Don't really care much for Grodd.

    ReplyDelete
  41. CGI gorilla was not good in my opinion. Nice idea but just looked crappy.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I agree, glad I am not the only one.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'mm the opposite. I think Emerald Archer really fits Oliver. It's more serious and commanding than Arrow. It just screams Oliver lol. I still love the Scarlet Speedster of course but the Flash suits him better. It's fun and goofy like him :D
Come on he would never do that. Our boy is a gentleman haha. Even when he was al grrrr and "evil" he never laid a finger on Lyla. He will probably give you a death glare though lol. bdshjbhjbhj I'm so hyped for this episode.

So cool. I loved that she fit in the team very smoothly and really helped them. I was relieved they didn't drag the anger and the hurt for too long too. there are 2 episodes left in the season there's no time for stupid anger plots. Instead of wasting screen time on her being mean and petty she can now help them and she's aware of the danger she's in. That's not fair, it's not just Marc's decision to keep secrets. Andrew and Greg also put in their 2 cents. And they hate the whole keeping a secret from the people we love trope too but it's necessary for the drama. And in Marc's defense when he was the sole showrunner everyone found out lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. uuuu Iris is acting like a jealous kid!! I understand this is much to take but she just started to blame Barry and her Dad and them Barry and then again both and them the team because they don't know how to save her dad! For me this was annoying!

    ReplyDelete
  45. At least she found out in Season 1...

    ReplyDelete
  46. I really like Iris, she is cute but i don't like her hurt attitude. And what Iris adds to the team? She doesn't have any special talents.
I love Grood's "Caitlin good" Does that mean Wells likes Caitlin? I don't mean romantically.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Justin Valdes6 May 2015 at 17:03

Yeah I meant that they will be married by the year 2024, not exactly in that year. Sorry for the confusion.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Justin Valdes6 May 2015 at 17:16

Isn't 2024 in the 21st century? Why does he want to travel to the 25th century, a whole 4 centuries into the future from that year?

    ReplyDelete
  49. I always feel Oliver will give me stink eye and since I am not Felicity I may not get away unscathed calling him something like that. Now Barry is like your BFF. He won't mind any nicknames you give him.
I really enjoyed Iris today and was so relieved they did the right thing by her and her relationship with Barry and Eddie.

I am not even talking about Oliver's secret being revealed on Arrow. I never had issues with it because unlike Barry who wanted to let Iris know Oliver himself never wanted anyone to know. Every revelation happened because he had no other choice. I am talking about Laurel keeping Sara's death a secret from Quentin for so long and the resulting irrational behavior from Quentin. Also the way Oliver reacted when he knew Malcolm drugged Thea and made her kill Sara. He should have ran up to her and let her know what happened to her. Instead he went to die valiantly leaving his baby sister in the dark in the care of a mad man. I blame MG for both these nonsense.

    ReplyDelete
  50. That's where he's from. Eobard wants to return to his own time.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Justin Valdes6 May 2015 at 19:11

Ohh okay yeah I just checked on DC Wikia and it says that he's from 2025 so my bad. Has that been mentioned on the show before? That's probably why I was confused because I don't know a whole lot on the DC Comics so that final scene was just to make the Flash comic book readers excited. Very cool.

    ReplyDelete
  52. He's said he's from centuries from now several times. Or that people have been dead for centuries. Beyond that it hasn't been specified yet.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I took it to mean she was good to Grodd before the particle accelerator explosion

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yes, you are probably right.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Clancy Brown basically doing the Grodd introduction was perfection. Such great usage for CGI on a tiny network that is The CW. Marvelous stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  56. The Iris scenes hurt the show; too preachy and annoying.
