'Who Is Harrison Wells?' Review

LAUREL LOVE?

Okay, this was a much better episode than last week but it still wasn't quite as perfect as I would have liked. Starting off with the crossover aspect of this episode. I am so sorry to those who will disagree with this, but I love Laurel. I seem to get a lot of hate for liking people others hate so if you don't like Laurel, that's totally fine, I'm not going to force you to like her. But I do really like Laurel, so I was excited to see her show up in The Flash. Having said that, after what happened in Arrow last week, why was she so totally happy? I do love to see her so cool and fun even though she wasn't really necessary in this episode, but Thea just died. Roy was forced to flee the city. Things just seemed a bit too light in The Flash despite what's happened. I'm just going to rationalise it by saying this probably happened the morning after Thea's death and Laurel probably doesn't even know about it yet - I mean, Oliver does keep her in the dark a lot of the time, right? A great thing that came from Laurel and Cisco meeting is that she got the Canary Cry device.

I loved Cisco's interactions with her and that he was totally fanboy-ing all over her. Come on, we would all do that in real life if superheroes were real and we were able to get photos with them. A friend of mine said they thought it was a nude photograph or something that Laurel handed him in an envelope but I never thought that, not even for a second. It's Cisco for crying out loud! He also had the best moment of the night with the whole digging up the real Wells and mentioning that he thought the body part they could see was the foot but turned out to be the hand, which is so much worse of course. It was cool that Cisco was removed from the action in Central City because he probably would have figured out it wasn't Barry in STAR Labs and that whole shapeshifter fiasco would have unravelled pretty quickly. I feel like I should mention Quentin Lance being present in this episode too and his scenes with Joe. I saw a lot of people commenting about how Arrow characters always seem out-of-character in The Flash and I have to agree - Quentin, Laurel, Felicity, Ray. Quentin isn't exactly the character I want to see right now after his little takedown of Team Arrow's hub but I hope we have some progression with him towards forgiving Laurel and stopping his crusade against Oliver.

EVERYMAN AND THAT CAITLIN KISS

The villain was much better than last week's (sorry Emily Kinney) and I'm one of those people who enjoys the metahuman-of-the-week aspect because I love seeing the different kinds of powers that have been attributed to humans after the particle accelerator explosion. The shapeshifter villain, Hannibal Bates (seriously on the nose for horror movie villains - Hannibal Lector and Norman Bates), opened many possibilities for fun in this episode and it posed a huge problem for Barry. He might be able to run at super speed but how can he catch someone who can change appearance by a single touch? It was quite the challenge and seeing the shapeshifter turn into the characters we know and love was both fun and exciting. I am so sorry to anybody who ships Barry and Caitlin but I definitely see them as just great buddies in Team Flash, along with Cisco. I love their trifecta and now things are a little awkward with Caitlin which I hope passes. I find Barry and Iris so awkward at times too because she knows Barry is crushing hard on her and because they're trying to be friends, there's a strain. I don't want that with Caitlin and Barry. I want them to be able to work together on their metahuman cases and just be the great team they've always been.

The shapeshifter also gave great moments for characters that usually get sidelined, like Eddie and Iris. Their relationship drama does not interest me because I disagree with keeping her in the dark, but they both got to, literally, kick some butt in this episode. I really loved the fight Barry had with Everyman towards the end. I've always wanted to know what it's like to see Iris and Caitlin fight and I don't think I really want them to have that sort of Laurel-Lance-turnaround but some basic skills could come in handy. One thing's for sure, they do look good kicking ass. Barry fighting Barry was good too and pretty well done. The effects there were cool, which reminds me, the transformation of the shapeshifter into different people left much to be desired. I wasn't a big fan of the way he transformed, it just didn't really look right. The end, when they have him locked away, and he transforms into that freaky-looking man (quite possibly his original body), I got chills. Huge chills, it actually scared me.

SPILLING SECRETS

The main problem I had with 'All Star Team Up' was that the progression of the Harrison Wells dilemma was sacrificed to accommodate the pretty much unnecessary crossover. Fortunately here, the small crossover didn't hinder the story at all, instead it moved swiftly along. Laurel and Quentin didn't dominate the episode like Felicity did in the last episode so the question on everybody's tongues - who is Harrison Wells? - was almost answered here. They still don't know it's Eobard Thawne who is the new Harrison, but they have uncovered the body of the real Harrison Wells and the doubt in anybody's mind saying otherwise is now diminished. The uncovering of the body (which I already mentioned as a great Cisco moment) was a great scene and made the whole Starling City aspect fruitful. It wasn't a wasted journey, and it wasn't a waste of our time too. This wasn't just a ratings stunt but an actual necessity in uncovering the truth.

I really liked how Caitlin struggled with the fact and had a conflict of interest with Barry. Caitlin wants to trust Harrison or her time at STAR Labs will have been a lie. I totally understand that and it makes sense. It shows the complex level that Caitlin is on because she wants to believe in the good, to believe in a man who has stood by her in the past, but every shred of evidence points otherwise. You do have to feel some sympathy for her because of this, but of course she can't stay behind rose-tinted glasses. The truth needs to come out, especially since it's going to help Barry with uncovering his mother's killer and freeing his father from prison. As a meme once said, you can't put a flower in an asshole and call it a vase. Staying oblivious - like Iris - is more dangerous than knowing the truth. If Caitlin wanted to stay trustful of Harrison a.k.a. Eobard, then she will end up getting herself killed. Also, I am so glad Eddie told Iris that he's working with the Flash. It's one step further toward her learning the truth about Barry, and hopefully Wells. Excluding her, as I said in my last review, shows a low level of trust for her yet Barry and Eddie, and even Joe, should have for her.

THE ENDING AND VERDICT

No matter what though, the ending was just amazing. To have Barry, Cisco and Caitlin (that perfect trifecta) discovering Wells' secret room was a long-awaited moment. I've been waiting for them to discover it since the beginning of the show and now it's happened, I'm ecstatic. I loved the urgency of the scene and the slow reveal of the monitor with the Flash missing article from 2024. They, without a shadow of a doubt, know Harrison is the Reverse-Flash so where do they go from there? Also, the scene Harrison had with Joe at the precinct was very ominous and freaky - is he on to them? Only great things are expected from now. 4 episodes to go and it's safe to say, after last week's all-star slip-up, The Flash is back on track and it's full steam ahead to a mind-blowing finale.

Overall, it was a good episode and there were tons of developments that will now change the course of the show. So many questions and possibilities moving forward now and there's fortunately no more crossing over with Arrow in the midst of this hectic story so it's going to be 100% The Flash. Consider my faith restored.

What did you guys think of 'Who Is Harrison Wells'? Let me know in the comments and be sure to watch the next new episode of The Flash on April 28th on The CW!

That is because Arrow is one episode ahead, so Arrow's 3x19 happens after Flash 3x19, even with Arrow's episode airing one week earlier. They are out of sync.

  3. Not a bad episode, though I do enjoy how this show does episodes that would normally be a complete filler type of episode.

  4. I enjoy it you not alone I love Laurel and I like her progressing into the Black Canary wish we saw more of that and her training with Nyssa then will Oliver and Felicity get together I'm right with you I like Barry and Caitlin as friends along with Cisco helping each other fight crimes I do think they should tell Iris because when she does found out she will be piss

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yeh, I agree about Barry and Caitlin, but honestly anything not Iris for Barry seems like it will be one-sided right now. Though I don't ship either.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Totally, glad we can agree on that it wasn't a bad episode and better than last week's crossover :D

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh that explains it, thanks for clearing that up for me!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yay thanks for reading and I'm glad we can agree on those points. Yay Team Laurel! Iris is totally going to be pissed for being the last person to find out about Barry as the Flash. She's going to think nobody trusts her.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I agree with that, it would be totally one-sided right now. Might need to see them grow a bit first.

  10. I really didn't gave that much into Laurel's happiness completely forgot that Thea got stabbed a week ago.
I fairly enjoyed the Laurel-Cisco interaction or like I call them Black Vibe. Cisco initially fangirled a bit to much but their scenes were extraordinary. I'm a Laurel fan as well. I'll have Ur back.

The rest of the episode was really well handled they exploited the Everyman really well and I like that Eddie got much more space to act and interact. I liked how they set up awkward moments, like that kiss, post kiss moments, the girl in the car and the fight. Great execution.

I'm a SnowBarry shipper, much more enjoyable than WestAllen(but that is just me). But I don't see them getting a 'appy ending, but maybe one day maybe one day.

    Overall great review.

  11. I really enjoyed the episode this week so pleased the guys know Harrison is definitely the reverse flash should make for some uncomfortable situations as they decide how to move forward with confronting him, I agree with you too Gavin I love Laurel and really enjoyed her scenes with Cisco in the episode. Cannot wait to see how the final episodes play out

  12. I don't ship either I see the chemistry between Barry and Iris but in order for me to see them be a potential couple they need to be in more scenes together in my opinion I think the reason why people ship Barry and Caitlin because they have more scenes together then he does with Iris

    ReplyDelete
  13. Apparently the episodes are a little out of sync, so in The Flash's world, Thea hasn't been stabbed yet. I didn't know that before reviewing the episode. Black Vibe is awesome, I love that! And thanks for having my back :D

I forgot to mention the shapeshifting into the little girl moment - loved that moment! And I'm not going to get mad if Barry and Caitlin happen as long as it's done right and it develops at the right pace. At the minute, I'm not totally convinced but hopefully we are going to get a lot of seasons of The Flash so who knows how I feel in a year's time?

Thanks very much for reading and leaving your thoughts!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yay thanks for reading Mark and that we have the same mind on a lot of things. I seriously can't wait for the big confrontation - going to be an amazing final set of episodes this season. What a great first season, right?

    ReplyDelete
  15. That's true, he definitely has more material with Caitlin than he does with Iris, who has been pushed back for a long time now since she's in the dark about Barry's true identity. I think once she knows, she can be incorporated much better.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yep the eps are out of sync! Black Vibe sounds good, hoping for more interaction in feature crossovers.
SnowBarry has some sweet and pure connection that really flows well for me. Barry and Iris are so messy and completely out of order. I don't know how far are U into the spoilers and BTS pics, but they are indicating that SnowBarry won't happen for quite some time.

But as U said there will most likely be more seasons of the Flash so who knows what happens.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I hope, if the show does more crossovers with Arrow, I hope it will be because it's needed, not just for kicks. I want more incorporation with the story without just a random character popping in for no good reason.

I can totally agree with SnowBarry having those moments, but I think a lot of that is due to them working together and Caitlin knowing Barry is the Flash. Iris doesn't and so she's sort of pushed to the side and so the pairing hasn't been allowed to really be open and honest and that's totally Barry's fault. But yeah, Barry and Iris are messy and out of order right now but yeah, that's because she's been pushed aside.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yep Iris being out of the secret is a deal-breaker for their story to progress, even though they being raised like siblings is more of a deal breaker for me. But that's just me.
But her attitude is also an issue for me, not a fan of her personality. But we'll have to wait and see how things will develop from the moment she gets into the inner circle.

    ReplyDelete
  19. So it happens after Public Enemy. Just after Quentin hunted down her and Team Arrow and Roy just surrendered to the police. Still it doesn't make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Loved the review. You liked everything I liked about this episode and you pointed out every flaw I had for this one.

Loved to see Laurel laugh. Its a crime she is so broody on Arrow. I really liked Laurel/Cisco scenes. He was a bit too over enthusiastic for me but it is Cisco. That being said had this episode happened before the events of Public Enemy I would have enjoyed it 3 times more. Even if this episode happened before Thea's death it means Roy is a fugitive or he is in jail. Laurel feels so OOC just like Felicity last episode. Tthe Quentin/Laurel dynamic shown this episode is so pre Public Enemy. Right now they have a more volatile relationship. Also Quentin who is so against going around the law right now simply handed over a cadaver they dug out in Starling City without any proper paper work. These two crossovers at this point of time should never have happened. And I am a bit annoyed they introduced the canary cry device on the Flash. IMO they could have used Ray Palmer on Arrow to do the same there and avoided this crossover completely.

The Barry/Caitlin kiss and the proceeding reactions from Caitlin was so funny. I really liked it. I don't think there will be any more awkwardness after this episode. The shape shifting cgi was very average and 90's like. I was not impressed. But the shape shifting aspect was really fun to watch. Especially evil Barry, little girl and the last fight. Evil Barry's reaction to Iris "Oh her" was really funny.

Thank God for the increased presence of Eddie and Iris. Also Eddie revealed to Iris he is working with the Flash. At least one step was taken. If Iris falls in danger with Wells because she trusts him and is unaware of the danger he poses for her I will be so angry. Also I am frustrated that one more week passed by and there is not movement on Mason's disappearance pushing Iris's investigative job. She never even got to react on her boss's disappearance. That too went to Barry.

Over all it was a fun episode not the best.

    ReplyDelete
  21. It goes: All Star Team Up -> Public Enemies -> Who is Harrison Wells -> Broken Arrow -> The Trap -> The Fallen -> Grodd Lives -> Al Sahim -> Rogue Air -> This Is Your Sword -> Fast Enough -> My Name is Oliver Queen

But yeah, there is a disconnect between Flash and Arros characters and their personalities when they change show. So I see the time line as even more fluid.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I must say I always enjoy your reviews of The Flash Gavin :) have to agree, I love Laurel and I've never really understood the hate she gets but at the same time, everyone is entitled to their opinions of course.

I thought the villain was a a great storyline, I mean what villain wouldn't love the power to look like anyone they wanted simply by touching them. I was giggling away at the scene with the kiss, poor Caitlin. I loved Cisco's fanboy moments with Laurel and I was howling at the part with the picture. I'm glad they're moving forward so well with the mystery to the Reverse Flash, theres a good progression to it that's coming at just the right pace. The Arrow characters being so OOC is always an odd thing to see but it's just generally down to the tone of the show when compared with Arrow which is a lot darker and serious, but what can ya do?

The ending was one of the best scenes of the show so far I think, I am nervous for the team and how they're gonna act around imposter Wells. Do you think they're gonna be able to hide it well or I wonder if they'll go for the full on confrontation now that they know the real Wells is dead.

    ReplyDelete
  23. So this episode happened after Quentin issued the warrant for the Arrow's arrest and finds out Oliver is the Arrow by Ra's and Roy is arrested, but before Quentin takes siege of the Team Arrow hub. I guess Joe's words about forgiveness just went through one ear and out the other. But thanks for that, that's actually really helpful.

    ReplyDelete
  24. If we see these Flash episodes without considering Arrow story lines we can enjoy it much more. I really liked Quentin and Laurel this episode. It was fun to see them in Flash universe. But the time line screw up really cuts down the enjoyment factor. I wish this episode happened before Public Enemy. It would have made so much more sense.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thanks so much for reading and leaving your thoughts! Relieved we feel the same about a lot of things. This episode is apparently after Public Enemy but before Broken Arrow, so Roy has just been arrested. It seems both crossovers lately have been totally unnecessary, like you said, and they can't balance the Arrow characters right in the show. It's annoying.

Sometimes I forget Iris even has a job, she is hardly seen doing it lately. More attention needs to be put on Iris by the writers, she needs far more development than they've been giving her. It's not fair, but I'm sure once she knows everything and she's incorporated into Team Flash, she'll be less asking of questions and more helping the gang. Definitely a fun episode though :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, I put them where I think they fit better without manipulating the story line. So I put that episode before Public Enemy, in my mind.

I think that the writers messed up the crossovers.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Considering both story lines, it just never resonated inside Quentin's brain.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think that's partly why the crossovers haven't been very enjoyable - they've happened in the middle of big events in each show and so they're out of place because they don't really hold relevance to the main plots, so they're just stuck in there just because they can. I like purpose.

    ReplyDelete
  29. That was what happened in Arrow. One character was in the loop and the other wasn't, so one became almost an antagonist due to being in the dark while the other was able to flourish and be supportive.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I really liked how Iris immediately picked up on the shadiness of the STAR labs gang when they said they will deal with the meta human. SHe was grilling Caitlin in the car before Hannibal became the little girl. But the problem is they give her these moments like when she was suspicious of Ronnie and her first day at job with interviewing Wells about Particle accelerator, then they completely forget about that and won't develop that plot. In the alternate timeline Mason tells Iris about his doubts about Wells. But after Barry went back in time that path also fell into Barry's lap. Its so annoying. They take these little steps forward then go two steps back.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thanks very much Adam, means a lot! Laurel is just great, what can we say haha.

The more I think about it, the more I enjoyed the awkwardness of the kiss. Was very comical actually. The photo of Cisco and Laurel as the Canary was hilarious, I would totally ask for the same thing if I was Cisco. You're quite right about the tone of the show being so different. Arrow is very dark, much darker than The Flash, so I guess the characters automatically have to lighten up when they appear on the opposite show.

I think, at least after watching the promo for next week's episode, Caitlin and Cisco might act fine around him at first but Barry is a ticking time bomb. I don't think it will last, keeping it secret that they know about Wells. I'm thinking by the end of next episode, all will be exposed between them.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh yeah, really shows that the themes in both Arrow and The Flash are eerily similar. But it also proves our point about keeping Iris in the dark. How is she supposed to be supportive and flourish and help the others if she has no idea who to help? Give the girl some credit.

    ReplyDelete
  33. For instance, Laurel was pulled and pushed by Oliver himself and by Arrow. And because she was out of the loop of Oliver being Arrow, the also had the information that the rest of the public had for part of the show (Arrow = bad).
So what can she do? Have a blind believe in a masked hero that she has no idea who it is and what he is capable of or his motivations? And even with Oliver, he lied to her so many times and continued to lie to her and keeping her in the dark over the course of season 1 & 2, so she doesn't know where to stand.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I almost forgot those things until you mentioned them! Proves your point though doesn't it, about how they give Iris these opportunities to be so useful and helpful and crack the case, but then they snatch it away from her whenever she gets close to learning new information. Iris is a great judge of character really, they just haven't shown it of late.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Exactly, and even when she does learn the truth and offers her support, he continued to push her away, telling her to stay out of it instead of encouraging and helping her. She could have gotten herself killed when she started as the Black Canary (and still can) and that's why she went toward outside help. What is it with these male heroes pushing the females out the way? To protect them? This isn't the 18th century anymore, it's the other way round. Laurel has now proven she can handle herself and so has Iris, though not to a great extent. Give her the truth and see what she does with it and I can guarantee she will be a lot more help, and a lot safer, in the know rather than in the dark. There's a saying about being in the dark, about not being able to see what's right in front of you and it can get you killed. It appears that the heroes in these shows don't understand that concept.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Nice review. After 1x18 took place during (but before the end of) Arrow 3x17 (I think) I've lost track of where we are in the timelines with the two shows, so Laurel's positivity is plausible, I guess. Also, though I don't love her, Laurel has improved somewhat in Arrow this year (and it helps when other storylines are terrible and take my attention away from her).

This episode was pretty great. My only irritation was the fact that no one noticed Barry was clearly not acting like Barry - hell, even when Wells realised it, it was only because he had a gun in his left hand. It was like they had only just met Barry. Also the Barry-Caitlin kiss. It was fine the first time but the second one she actually went for it. Come on Caitlin, you have a fiance.

Very very intrigued as to how things will play out now that the group have found Wells' secret room. Just one request to the show: DO NOT KILL CISCO FOR REAL.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks Bradley, and I'm glad you're open to changing your perception of Laurel based on character development. And you're so right about not noticing it's not the real Barry - he was so obviously acting sketchy, how did it not Caitlin's mind? Same for Eddie when he came to the house and gave Barry the excuse that a favour was called in so he was released. There's a shapeshifter on the loose, people! Even though we knew they weren't the real characters anyway, we can still tell when they're not acting like themselves.

I sincerely hope they DO NOT kill Cisco for real. That sh*t needs to be prevented. I don't know if The Flash will do that since Arrow killed off Tommy in the first season finale, but I never liked Tommy as much as I like Cisco. I'm so invested in the Flash Trifecta - Barry, Caitlin and Cisco. I never want that to change (well I don't mind more people adding to it) but I don't want any of those 3 to be taken out, ESPECIALLY not Cisco! He's very needed in the show for his occasional comic relief and his smarts.

    ReplyDelete
  38. um no fiance, they technically broke up when he left to train i guess

    ReplyDelete
  39. Caitlin kissed who she thought was Barry, so the whole friends things has been teetering into romance all season. I'm sorry if you don't see it

    ReplyDelete
  40. I got a sense of that in 'Crazy For You' when they had the whole karaoke and bonding moments, not just in that episode of course but I do see that they are teetering on that possibility of romance. I kind of don't want it to happen right now, I think it's far too early but if it's developed right, I could eventually dig it. I just like their dynamic the way it is and I'm just not great with change haha.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Exactly, Iris is at a wall right now and until she learns the truth, she'll never progress. She'll always be stuck in the dark and not be able to see anything around her. It's strange because I loved Smallville and Clark kept his secret of his powers from his friends and love of his life for ages, and we're only 19 episodes into the first season of The Flash and almost everyone knows except 1 person and that drives me insane.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ugh, that Barry thing at the house frustrated me so much. It's like the show wanted to make its characters look like idiots this week. "Yes, her." Kind of obvious...?

I loved Tommy, but Cisco is just on another level. They can't kill him. They just can't. Once - even knowing that it was a fake out was bad enough. Can't do it for real. As Felicity said, Central City is meant to be the fun one and without Cisco that goes out of the window. And yes, the Hurley comparison is a good one. I REALLY want Cisco to time travel and see if he suggests writing any movies before they are written and made like Hurley did.

    ReplyDelete
  43. As far as I remember they didn't actually break up, he just left for a while. Could be wrong but that is how I remember it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Haha yes that could be the writers' intentions - make the characters look like idiots. Like they don't know each other at all. Guess that ties in with the theme of not being who you really are and not seeing what's in front of you.

Yeah Cisco is on another plane from Tommy. Could you imagine what Tommy would have been like he Oliver told him he was the Arrow at the very beginning and they could have been like really cool about it and Tommy would have been fascinated and stuff, that would have been cool. But yeah, Central City is like the fun one so if they killed Cisco, things would get so dark, WAY too dark for this show. I do like dark and dreary, but I want to hold onto as much light in The Flash as I can. Killing Cisco would be the biggest game changer.

And haha, that would be hilarious if he time travelled and suggested writing movies not yet written.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Clarke keeping his secret was okay, cause he kept it from everyone.

Keeping it solely from Iris is really not working, it slows down the show and her character. I was worried for the show as a whole with so many people knowing but it feels coherent now and works fine. But it will be difficult to introduce new cast to the show and sustain the mystery.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Yeah that's true, Clark didn't isolate anybody in particular like they're doing to Iris, totally slows the show down and her character. You have a good point about introducing new characters and sustaining the mystery. I think the suspense of keeping the secret and the anticipation of finding it out has been lost in The Flash because now it seems to be common knowledge that Barry is The Flash. So much has happened in one season though.

  47. Yeah, it tied in with the theme but it felt like overkill eventually. You don't need to thread the theme into every single scene of an episode.

That would have been interesting. Though Dead to Rights remains one of my favourite episodes of the show and the Tommy/Oliver conflict was great once he found out. I'm quite glad he didn't find out because I'm not sure what purpose it would have served. The biggest difference between the two is the tone. On Flash, you have Cisco naming meta-humans and talking with Wells about movies. On Arrow you have Oliver pulling miserable faces. Not that it's a bad thing, but it's best not to blur the lines.

But really though, would you not do that if you could time travel? You could become famous!

  48. You're right about overkill. And the Tommy/Oliver conflict was so great to watch on Arrow. I'm sorry but I laughed out loud when you said on Arrow you have Oliver pulling miserable faces haha. Such a difference to Barry Allen. If I had time travel, and I have thought about it, I would literally write every great movie that's ever been out (or at least most), all the TV shows I love (or at least most) and write Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings and just every great book (or, again, at least most). I'd have so much fun with that haha. I'd also write all the great songs too, just for kicks.

  49. Having a mystery is always nice and adds to the show a lot. New characters have to be a major part of the next season and I would enjoy for a more recurring type of characters. Will be interesting to see how they will layer the next season.

Season 1 of The Flash is full of everything. Personally I think they add to many characters and pushed things a bit to far, but that is just me. Sometimes more simple is better.

  50. They probably should just went with her investigating Wells, when they introduced that story in parallel to everyone else doing it.

  51. no they didn't break up, but it did felt like it a bit when he left.

  52. Me likey Snowbarry! Let the haters come hither, LOL! Nah, seriously though, it was a good funny episode. I like suave Barry/Everyman :) More please. I would have kissed him too even if i had a fiance :) Sad about Wells not being Wells. How are they going to utilize him in season 2? I don't want him to not be part of the Flash team :(

  53. Haha yes stand your ground, be a proud Snowbarry fan! I love their chemistry, definitely, I just prefer them keep it as friends. But if they do get involved romantically, I could dig it if it's progressed right :)
I never thought about that actually, how will Wells be in season 2 onwards? Maybe they'll have him like Malcolm Merlyn in Arrow and have him as the sort of frenemy, a villain of sorts. But with the intensity of hate Barry now feels for him because he killed his mother, I'm not sure that would work. I must admit I do like him as part of the team and can't imagine him out of it. Who knows what will happen?

  54. Yeah I think so too, let Iris get deeper into investigating Wells. Maybe she will and that will be when Team Flash decide to tell her everything for fear of her safety? I dunno but I hope they make Iris more relevant in the future.
