  1. something can't be right here, if they're shooting from may to november that would indicate that they got a full season order wich I refuse to believe.

  2. Certainly would indicate around 16-18 episodes.

Depends on how many filming breaks they get. One of the team, Chris suggested at at around 180 filming days and on average a 10 day per episode cycle that it certainly would be between 16-18 episodes possibly

  3. It's kind of hard to believe though, giving the show a 18 (considering that usually shooting for an episode takes about 1 1/2 weeks) is a weird business move that I can't entirely understand (I don't have to but I usually like for things to make sense to me).

It would still be a long shot away from syndication, hasn't even had its third season premiere to see the rating retention from last season and from all angles loos like a financial disaster. Maybe there's something I'm missing but right now I'm willing to believe that someone affiliated with the show got awkward photos of Mark Pedowitz stored in a locker or something.

Something weird is going on at the CW HQ (and I do believe that it's the network not being anymore by 2017, at least some signs point that direction with Tribune probably jumping ship)

  4. Pretty sure 5 to 5 1/2 months is the standard time to film 13 episodes of TV. If they take 8 days to film an episode, that would be 104 days of shooting. If only 7 days to film an episode that is 92 days of shooting. 104 days would be 21 weeks of filming (they essentially get weekends off ) and there are only 25 weeks between May 29-Nov 12. The crew would get any Canadian holidays off. There might be an extra day off between episodes or an entire week off somewhere in there (I believe Homeland took a two week break between episode 6 and 7 this past season).

  7. Well I went to look at Arrow, which is also Canadian shot, and their production cycle starts early July to December, before a break for christmas. Thats 14 episodes shot. So if we apply this to Beauty, taking off December and moving that month to June. It would still work out to be a 13 episode cycle, or 15 episodes at least, if the days months add up to be more.

So I do feel it is still 13 episodes, and that filming period seems about right.

  8. Actually that feels like a Canadian show filming schedule, and those don't produce more than 15 episodes usually...

  9. So it's a showcase co-production then? That might explain the renewal...

  10. i think by the end of s04 it will have 70 eps.so it is not a long way from syndication another 18 eps voila u have ur "88".i think u r right abt tribune thing.it peeked my interest when they gave renewal so early.
