  • 4th April 2014 - Gwendoline Christie to replace Lily Rabe
Lionsgate has just confirmed that it is replacing Lily Rabe in the role of Commander Lyme with Gwendoline Christie, who plays Brienne on HBO’s Game Of Thrones.

  • 7th Feb 2014 - Philip Seymour Hoffman to be digitally recreated for one scene
The filmmakers behind the “Hunger Games” movies will digitally recreate late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman in a major yet-to-be-shot scene, sources from the flick said.

Editors will use computer graphics and camera tricks — instead of rewriting the script — to film at least one heartfelt scene featuring Hoffman’s character, the gamesmaker Plutarch Heavensbee.

  1. Only one more Hunger Games flick to go and finally theatres will be free of the YA craze :D (let's hope Divergents sequel fails)

  3. Can´t fre*king WAIT!!!! Hope Mockingjay Part 2 is awesome, bc I didn´t enjoy Part 1 that much. I guess it´ll be the same as Harry Potter, Deathly Hallows Part 1 was really really bad and Part 2 was super awesome

  6. Did it? Of all YA movies I haven't seen that one because I figured that it would fail and be forgotten like The Host, I am Number Four and City of Bones.

Frankly all these movies should be turned into CW show, not occupy space in theatres

  7. It got 340mil worldwide vs its 34mil budget + most of the audience liked it (and 63% of the critics liked it on Rotten Tomatoes, making it fresh, vs Divergent's rotten 41%). The sequel is coming out this September btw.
Also, The Host made 63mil vs its 40mil budget, and it didn't get a sequel.

  9. The Host -
    Budget: $40,000,000
    Domestic BO: $26,627,201

    The Maze Runner -
    Budget: $34,000,000
Domestic BO: $102,427,862 (that's actually pretty damn impressive for such a low budget)

    Divergent -
    Budget $85,000,000
    Domestic BO: $150,947,895

    Mockingjay Part 1 -
    Budget: $125,000,000
