  2. Best episode so far! It's great to see Mike more and to see where the whole deal with Nacho will be heading.

  3. Another awesome episode! This show is just firing in every aspect so far.

The episode opening up with a flashback with Jimmy in prison was great. It was really interesting to see a time when Jimmy was in desperate need of his brother Chuck's help, especially when they haven't spoken to each other in five years, instead of the other way around. Also, Jimmy pleading with his brother and saying that he'll do anything he can to get out of prison was a really heartfelt moment between the two.

I kinda figured it out that the Kettleman's had kidnapped themselves a few moments before Jimmy and Kim went back to their house but it was still a lot of fun to see it all go down! And I continue to be in awe of the Albuquerque desert scenery. What a tremendous sight it is really. Also, I have a feeling that Jimmy and Kim have a long romantic history together and were once lovers back in the day. Really looking forward to getting to know more about her in the future. "You didn't do the sex robot voice, did you?" XD

I knew Mike wasn't going to let Jimmy back into the parking lot after he pushed Mike's little button to open up the gate, without paying, and driving away XD But woah at him poking Mike and calling him a "geezer". Don't mess with Mike, Jimmy! Because he will take you down in a heartbeat. And aww at Mike dropping the charges against Jimmy because he overheard his story about the Kettleman's and helped him figure out where they had been hiding this whole time. Based on the interactions between the two so far, I sense a really strong partnership already forming between these two!

Next week should be very interesting with Jimmy now knowing where the Kettleman's stolen money is. Will he get some of the money and keep their secret or tell Nacho where it is so he can be at peace with him again? Can't wait!

  4. Not a bad episode, but I almost feel like I would not like the show as much if I had not already watched breaking bad.

  5. I am delighted that this series is living up to its parent show, which is a huge task but the combination of comedy/drama which worked so well in Breaking Bad is perfect in Better Call Saul.

Loved getting a flashback to a younger Jimmy and a saner Chuck, that one scene says a lot about their relationship. Jimmy is always trying to prove himself and Chuck always looks vaguely disappointed but as they first two episodes showed they love each other.

I guessed the Kettleman's had done a runner and I'm really glad that Jimmy got proved right and that Mike belived him. Mike!!! Seriously so great seeing more of him, you could tell how annoyed the young detectives made him.

Kim seems pretty interesting, I like her no nonsense approach to Jimmy but also its clear she has time for him.

  6. Great!
I am curious if Jimmy will stick to his plan, or the Kettlemans will persuade him to switch to their side, by a fair amount of that money.

  7. I was wondering when we'd finally see Mike and Jimmy talk about something other than validation stickers. I'm super excited to see how they built their relationship!

I like this show... I like this show a lot. Keep it going. guys!

  8. I don;t think Jimmy will tell Nacho anything about the money. Nacho knows that his plan is already busted so he won't go near the Kettlemens again - just my two cents.

  9. Again, not the best.
I felt it was more of a regression to the premiere standards...
Still good and an enjoyable watch none the less. And I'll be sticking with it, but so far it's still trying to find the right tone and pace...

Incredibly good episode. For people who might have a problem with the low key character and slow pacing, I would like to remind them that until Walter blew up Tuco's "office", Breaking Bad had a slow pace and a low key character as well. But at the same time, the setting is important, how the scenes are staged, the body language is the key to understanding many of the scenes, what people say and what they only infer, all that creates a far deeper narrative below the surface. That makes the show very very enjoyable...a work of art.

  12. We know what happens in the aftermath Breaking Bad, yes - but do we know what happens to Saul? It's a good point to make that Saul's journey hasn't ended yet though we know already do know his fate due to his work for Walter White. Since the show has started and we saw the opening clip of the Pilot "Uno" I have began to wonder whether Saul will eventually return to tie up loose ends and redeem himself in the same way Walter White did...It's sort of about being at that point where you have nothing left to lose that a person in that position stops and wonders "Am I going to just do this until I eventually die - lay low and rot away where I am?" My idea of where this is all going is that by providing us more background on Saul prior to BB that we will learn of a motive that will be enough to get Saul out of hiding - otherwise, Saul's best days are already behind them and from the looks of where he was on BB and before they were pretty shitty - sleazy office, deadbeat clients, etc. Saul has improved from the life depicted so far on Better Call Saul (Closet office, beat up hoopty, petty public defender work) to Breaking Bad (His own office Location, Cadillac, connections); however, I think Saul still has more to strive for to just hide out until someone finds him dead one day...Maybe, Maybe not - but I would love for them to eventually follow on the loose ends in Saul's life left open by his change of identity (Love life, Brother, Rivals, etc)...Another expectation aside from this I have that can also tie in is to eventually touch upon who Saul had screwed over when Walter and Jesse first held him at gun point considering he was convinced they were with someone else who it seemed wanted his head...
