Why are u so disrespectful? Why do I have to come here to check out a post and see such cimments ? Why is there such hate towards s show? I love the show. Why do u have to speak like that about a show that just won the most awards this year for the cw. Show and actress. Have u even watched it at all? If u have and u did not like it then don't watch. But why refer to it as torture ? Why is it torturous? Is anyone forcing u to watch it? I came here to check out the winners and was hoping I would read positive comments about all shows given these won. Or at least non disrespectful comments. I don't enjoy many of these shows but I am happy they won and respect the fans who voted hard to give their favs a win.
i don´t watch BATB but i got to give probs to their fans for voting their asses off! TVD wishes they had such dedicated fans! what tvd has left are only the delena stans who need honoring and well they can´t give the show any big awards like best show or acting but kudos to them for the duo thing i´m just saying tvd hasn´t a fandom for the show left only for A ship.
as usual I can't agree with the majority. three awards for TBBT? Okay, nothing against Kaley Cuoco, but the show isn't as nearly as good as it used to be (mainly because of the Amy-character and the focus on couples). In some categories, especially music, I wouldn't know what to pick if you held a gun to my head. I have a hard time imagining anyone liking any of these artists. thank god it's easier to understand TV characters than real world people.
BATB fans are not obnoxious. they are dedicated to the show but do not slate other shows. of course there are exceptions to the rule but you see that with every fanbase, but I would argue less so with batb (just check other parts of this website and see how many negative commetns there are about batb and then how many negative comments there are about other shows from batb fans). you also have to understand that the show is not promoted AT ALL by the network and has not been promoted for two years now so the fans have to go the extra way to make sure the show is noticed, hence the hashtags etc. plus fans genuinely love the show a lot. these still above were the exact same one from the beginning of season 1. there has been nothing new since then. nothing. therefore fans are united and promote the show as much as they can. there is nothing wrong with that. and fans were also critical of aspects of the show (and sometimes heavily critical during season 2) and were not always super positive. but yeah you are right, I will ignore disrespectful posts in the future
One thing i completely agree with is that there are insane fandom out there for others shows too,i won't name them but i acknowledge that.As for the promotion,i get your point but look at it this way,CW gave them the coveted post-TVD slot back then when TVD was doing great.Only when it under-performed,they started ignoring it.But the thing is the more u or anyone try to shove their personal preference onto other people, the more intolerable it becomes,no matter what the intention was in the first place.I feel for you and your situation as far as the BatB is concerned,so you do what you gotta do.At least it's better than doing nothing for a show you love.Peace out.
I stopped caring about PCA when Moonlight won Favorite NEW TV DRAMA in 2008, then CBS cancelled it. The only thing it means are shows have fans with nothing else to do but vote. So Congrats to the fans.
Congrats to the shows that won, especially my favorite Beauty and the Beast and Ms.Kristin Kreuk.Even though the CW really doesn't promote the show,it is great to see how loyal the fans are anyway.I watched The Flash once, and it is better than other shows they had on.
I have to respectfully disagree with you that TVD doesn't have dedicated fans because I think it has many, those who are open and willing to watch the series as it unfolds. I wish they were more vocal in their support. Still, TVD was the #1 show this past week according to Spoiler TV. As far as the fandom only consisting of Delena "shippers", it only appears that way because those who wanted Stefan and Elena to be together have made a concerted and very vocal effort to bash the show at every opportunity since their choice is not Elena's choice anymore. They've pulled their support from the show because of this one storyline. The results of this past Wednesday's People's Choice Awards are a perfect example of that. Do they want to see a show end because it doesn't meet their expectations? It seems like it to me, and I think that's juvenile. I like Damon but if Elena were still with Stefan I would still watch the show. TVD is an ongoing story, NOT REAL LIFE, and no one can be certain of the end game. I, for one, want to to see what that end game will be and I don't want to see it soon. There are more stories to be told in Mystic Falls. I say, let the chips fall where they may.
I absolutely hate delena but i have to admit, you're the 1st delena fan who doesn't sound delusional & clueless. And that's an honest compliment from a non-shipper fan.
Thank you, Joy - I think! I've never considered myself a rabid Delena shipper - I'm a "supporter". I just happen to think the sun rises and sets on Ian - kidding, I'm just kidding (a little). I think Paul is a handsome, sexy and talented man with a body to die for, but he just doesn't get my panties in a twist like Ian does. I think the chemistry between Ian and Nina is thrilling. No, I'm not "judgmental, loud, delusional and clueless" about Delena; for the most part I ship TVD, the show. However, I would ask you to consider that those negative words, "hate" included, might be/are used by some - but not all - people on both sides of the Stelena/Delena controversy. I wish each of us could have our favorite without feeling the need to crush those with a different favorite.
First of all, every comment cannot be technically perfect. The problem is now-a-days one cannot write a single comment without thinking about it beforehand for like 15 mins to check whether you're offending anybody.I'm sorry if i've offended u in some way, but i wrote what i genuinely felt & i won't be sorry for that, neither will i go around explaining myself to every other BatB fans out there.I dislike the show and i made one single comment about it for the 1st time,i think in this site-sue me! Peace out.
well they call for suggestions for the first round of nominees online then they nominate 10+ people for each category people then vote in that round and then they release the finale nominations.
I think you're using the "squeaky wheel gets the oil" expression to justify an outcome that isn't always fair, When small fan-bases flood or hijacking polls, their #1 intention is to skew the results so that people mistakenly assume that their show or actor is more popular than all the other shows in the poll. Fans call it harmless promotion, but they forget that every time they succeed at skewing the polls, they've deprive a more deserving show or actor of the recognition they deserve. Sometimes it's a silly online poll that doesn't matter, and sometimes it's something important like The People's Choice awards. which ultimately breeds resentment from other fan-bases (which is not the same as being mean-spirited). which is why fans of other shows often resent these some This may seem like harmless promotion, but co-workers. One is extremely skilled and productive whereas the other one isn't. So in order to compensate for their lack of productivity, the weaker coworker engages in aggressive self-promotion, by speaking the most at board meetings and exaggerating their accomplishments to make themselves look more productive than they really are.
I appreciate your reply. I think you are saying BATB fans who love the show cheated even though they are on the same level playing field as the rest. Just because they are organized and know how to play the game really well they are called cheaters. The show performed poorly in the US but not in other parts of the world and anyone and everyone can vote in PCA. Just naming a couple here, why is it that fans of Supernatural and Arrow who also keep winning awards are not called hijackers or cheaters. People Choice Awards are for the people, the fans and I actually think this is what the Networks need to notice, and I do believe at last they have started to take notice. As of today we have a May/ June Summer return for BATB and the fan sites are more than happy, not so much with the wait but excited that the show is recognized for its potential and given a summer return.
At the end of the day does it all really matter? BATB is one show in the big wide open ocean and fans fought for a 3rd season and got it and it deserves awards as much as the rest of the them and the fans are entitled to vote. Why not say congrats and well done to all the shows? It is mean spirited when you see people say nasty and hateful comments here toward show and fans and there is no denying that. Today I saw a comment on this site that said they didn't like Season 2 calling Catherine ( Kristen Kreuk) a sluth. As someone asked the writer, how old are you? I wanted to comment but realize it would be a waste of time :) The BATB fans and family try to avoid hate and negativity and know how cruel people can be and allowed to be, especially here on Spoiler toward the show and fans and encouraged to avoid.
You have me lost here:) It's not a necessity to congratulate but not necessary either to say the fans cheated by just voting? It's a matter of taste or own opinion if you like one show over another. That is perfectly acceptable but just because you or some others don't like it doesn't give u or anyone else the right to say BATB fans Are poll spamming. As I said its a level playing field and each to his own. I am not being smart here but have no clue what TBBT show is but well done if it keeps winning:) Yes am sure some are fustrated it keeps winning but well done to fans who keep giving it support. I do absolutely respect your opinion but to say the win matters when it won over 'better shows' is obviously not everyone's opinion and I wouldn't call it poll spamming when everyone have access to same poll.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Congrats to The Flash,JtV,TVD,SPN(my misha won!).As for BatB,i have only one thing to say-keep patience, this torture will be over soon!

ReplyDelete#batb forever
ReplyDeleteLooks like I'm watching two 'worst' CW shows considering none of them was awarded with PCA this year.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely spot on !
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeletecongrats to the beauty and the beast .kristin kreuk .misha collins

ReplyDeleteCongrats to Misha Collins - Supernatural. Even when I don't believe in the results of the People's Choice Awards.
ReplyDeleteto make pca really the people's choice they should let people nominate their favourite choices prior...
ReplyDeleteDelena!!!!!!! Yeah baby, we SLAY! So proud of my ship, love them to death!! :)
ReplyDeletethey do that and have for many years now
ReplyDeleteI absolutely hate delena but i have to admit, you're the 1st delena fan who doesn't sound delusional & clueless. And that's an honest compliment from a non-shipper fan.
ReplyDeleteI thought that there are special people who determined the nominees...
ReplyDeleteThere is a write-in option. It's how Misha was nominated.

ReplyDeleteMisha collins is a guy and he plays the role of angel castiel in Supernatural. He's a very popular guy in general with a huge fan-base.

It matters if it gets renewed or gets awards over better shows, but then "better" is a subjective thing, I guess.
ReplyDeletejust last year?
