  1. Next week looks really good. Like Moma Renard.

  2. Holy smokes the promo from last week all was from this weeks episode. Last week it seemed like a lot to get in one episode. They fit a lot in but in a very intense way and I enjoyed it a lot.

Adalind really?? You really thought you were just going to get your baby handed back to you easy like that and get to leave free. And you weren't suspicious of it being a dungeon. Good lord girl your a villain and I should hate you, and to a degree I definitely do, but come for a villain you sure are naive aren't you. But I actually felt kind of bad for her in that moment she didn't seem at all proud of what she did to Nick, she seems desperate to just get her kid and go on with life. Doesn't excuse what she did ever I mean she is still awful but I am glad she didn't seem to enjoy all the actions she took.

I'm worried for Truble being the only Grimm in town. She's already really vulnerable and can easily be killed as we saw this episode.

Love the connection between Nick and Adalind. Curious to see how intense its going to get and how much it will affect both of them and the gangs fight against the royals.

Not surprised at all the Captain is alive. But glad he is pretty important to the group now.

Oh and for the love of all that is good someone tell Wu already! Just let him know poor guy is going to hinder all your grimm cases with his side investigations of Truble and his memories if you don't just tell him. Tell him already.

  3. I know we're only two weeks in on the new season, but enough already the story is about Nick Berkhok I know I didn't spell his last name right, I miss him being the Grimm so much being the only Grimm is getting Trubel a lot more than she can handle I know they've got a story to tell I love this show, i know it's time to tell Wu, it's time for Juliette to come to terms with Nicks destiny, Renard's mom I hope she is also and Ally, that connection Adalind and Nick have is giving Nick all he can handle, although Juliette thought Nick was faking it, cause of the picture of Trubel!!

  4. god truble can't stay of danger damn that steinadler taking her she's definitely evil, i like the way they're kind of saying trubel's kind of nick and juliette's daughter, and that sick connnection ARGH!!! can adalind just stay out of nick and juliette's life please, although she wasn't pleased with what she did she still raped nick and Mama renard is awesome and could she be our first ally hexenbeist and lol at him saying she had work done because of how young she looks

    ReplyDelete
  5. loved the ep...interesting way for the cotw to resolve as sucking on the mind of a Grimm drove the Wesen bonkers...loved the intro of Renard's hot mother talk about some good genetics and looking forward to seeing how she will fit into the plots. was a little miffed at Juliette being somewhat selfish in asking Monroe and Rosalee to stop looking for a cure for Nick, but I kinda like how the story is setting up: Nick has said that he's never had a choice to be a Grimm or not, and it will get to a point where he will have a choice - and of course we all know that he will choose his destiny.... interesting having Adalind and Nick being linked to each other's mind ( like Harry P and Voldemort, lol) and it'll be interesting how that will play out. it seems pretty certain that Wu will finally find out, but I've kinda liked having at least one person who didn't know everything... just wonder how it will happen

  6. Okay if they keep putting off telling Wu the truth, he will not forgive them. They should have told him a long time ago.

Juliett looks as if she has had enough with Nick's way of life, Grimm or not... oh my god I just got really excited about the thought of her walking away

I love that Nick's life is just as fun as when he was a Grimm, poor guy can't catch a break haha His connection will surely result in a sneer from Juliett but who cares, it's a wonderful change of pace.

  7. Awesome episode..

    Loving "Liz" Lascelles!
I wondered if the mystery woman may be Renard's mom, but the age threw me. I theorized Hexenbeasts age slower or spell themselves eternally young, but maybe plastic surgery does teh job afterall! XD

I lie the direction this season is going with Adelind and Nick's issues. I find it interesting to see someone accustomed to having powers deal with being normal. Add in the odd connection (transformation?) issue between hexenbitch and Nick and it can go anywhere!!

Okay gang... Let the Wu one in!
He needs to know your secret already.

Odd for a Wesen to kidnap a Grimm like what just happened to turble...
I wonder if the FBI agent is less of a problem than they have let on. Maybe she is Resistance? Farley Kolt, the Steinadler we met in Season 1 was not all bad as I recall. Aunt Marie's ex-fiancee I think... Wonder if he i still alive... Hmmm.

Not a huge fan of how Juliet is behaving, but what's new? XD

  8. I had the same thought about Agent Chavez last week, but it was just a suspicion.
With the events this week it's grown to more than that!

She seems to have more than a passing interest in all things Grimm, and not in the typical manner most Wesen might be concerned. Hunting a Grimm is one thing. Purposely woging in a public place to confront one is something different. It does not feel as adversarial to me.

    ReplyDelete
  9. i don't think renard meant actual surgery i think it was more implied that has a spell that makes her stay young

    ReplyDelete
  10. Right. :)
I was just paraphrasing his joke in my own attempt.
    I guess I failed! XD

  11. Terrific episode....I can't wait for next week! The connection between Adalind and NIck was a brilliant turn of events, although I'm hoping that Nick can use it to his advantage. The downside would be that Adalind uses the visions to spy on Nick for the Royals (or perhaps just to locate her baby). Adalind has done some terrible things, but I couldn't help feeling a little sorry for her when she realized that she wouldn't see her baby.

I can understand Juliette wanting things to go back to normal, but going behind Nick's back to talk to Rosalee and Monroe was probably the last thing she should have done. Plus., I don't think she'll ever get the old pre-Grim Nick back, and once Nick figures out that he is connected to Adalind, I suspect that she'll be paying another visit to Monroe and Rosalee asking them to find a reversal spell ASAP (assuming Nick doesn't keep it a secret from her).

I'm so happy Renard is alive. Having his mother around should be interesting.
They really need to tell Wu the truth, otherwise he's going to become a thorn in their side. Either that, or they need to tell Renard that Trubel's a Grimm so that he can stop Wu from stalking her.
Trubel needs some lessons in stealth. Maybe she just needs to spend a month at camp "Nick's mom".
The Octopus Wesen going crazy after reading Trubel's mind was great. I like that actor.
I wonder if we'll get a reappearance from Meisner, the other resistance guy who helped Adalind the last time.

  12. Julie is dumb bitch. I used to like her so much the first season, but now she is just painful to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  13. To be fair for Juliette, she's been nothing but supportive to Nick and his endeavors after learning about the Wesen world. And she thought the possibility of him living a Grimm-less life before she saw Nick suddenly suffering in sharp pain, which we found out is a side-effect of whatever it is that Adalind did to him when she raped him.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think Sean's mother shares something in common with Penelope of Witches of East End. =))

    ReplyDelete
  15. Why? Nick was the one who said that it might be better this way. And she didn't ask Rosalee and Monroe to pretend that there is no cure, she only asks them to give Nick a little bit time to figure out if he actually wants it. Which, I think, is actually very thoughtful of her. She is basically giving him a way out if he really wants it.
I would be bothered by this if she were actively trying to convince Nick to give up his powers for good. But that's not what she is doing.

    ReplyDelete
  16. To be honest...I am on Juliette's side in this one. Nick was the one who said that it might be better if he weren't a Grimm anymore. The only thing Juliette wanted is giving him a little bit time to think about what he really wants.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Honestly, the whole octopus story felt kind of tacked on (though does that mean that Trouble now lost some of her worst memories?).
I also hope that they fix Nick soon.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Perhaps. When he said that it might be better, he sounded like he was trying to convince himself, more than anything. I get why Juliette went to Monroe and Rosalee, but I still, think it was a mistake.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Disagree completely.
I do not for one second think Juliet is looking out for Nick as much as she is hoping for her own personal reasons that Nick will remain normal.

Why would any concerned person not want to reverse the spell as fast as possible? The only thing I can think of is her personal feelings on Nick being a Grimm. Nothing to do with seeing how Nick acclimates to being normal again.

Every look she gives is one of fear more than concern in my opinion. If Nick wanted to stay normal he would have told RosaLee and Monroe to not look for a cure himself.

Telling Monroe and Rosalee to give Nick time is a more dangerous game than solving the issue as fast as possible. The window for reversing spells can be limited. The longer he goes without the spell being reverse or being cured the worse things can get.

More importantly, they were warned that if Nick did not drink the potion Renard concocted something very bad would happen to Nick. Even before last night I never once thought that losing Grimm powers was the end of it.

The only reason to wait is for her personal reasons, not out of concern for Nick.

  21. So perfect that they made Renard's mother a beautiful young ( appearing ) woman. Either a spell or hexenbeists age really slowly. Don't know how old Adalind's mother was supposed to be but she looked age appropriate to be Adalind's mother. Louise Lombard really nailed the mysterious alluring part. And in future shots she is seen helping the Grimm Gang with some hocus pocus for Nick at the Spice Shop. Would be great if they brought the previously mentioned father of Renard ,King of the Royals, into play and had Louise Lombard do scenes with him. Would somebody PLEASE tell Wu. Love this show so much.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Sasha Roiz is 41. Louise Lombard is 44. Can't imagine why they didn't just find an age-appropriate actress, but maybe we'll find out.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think something is going to come of Nick's seeing through Adalind's eyes while she is being held captive in the Royals' dungeon. It will be interesting if he tells Renard what he sees. Nick may be the instrument of Adalind's release.

    ReplyDelete
  24. And Rosalee is the expert. Juliette is coming to two of her friends and asking them to give Nick time instead of pushing him into getting his powers back. If there is a reason why it is too dangerous, Rosalee would know it. She is not a mindless puppet. If Rosalee had answered "sorry Juliette, but I don't think that we can/should do that", Juliette certainly would have listened. The same way Rosalee listened to Juliette's reasons and made a decision based on it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Let's hope it's not my first thought...
Nick and Adalind are switching minds or bodies... Nick consciousness inside Adalind and vice versa.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Nick wasn't exactly happy since he became a Grimm. Sure, there is an egoistic element in all this, but I truly believe that Juliette mostly wants Nick to be happy again.
Nick also could have asked Monroe and Rosalee to look for a cure, but he never did. They just assumed that he wanted one. He wasn't exactly eager...in fact, he was more concerned about their honeymoon than getting his powers back. And he didn't ask how far they are with a solution once since he lost his abilities.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Still can't agree.

All of that only holds true if you assume Nick losing his powers is the worst aspect of Adalind's spell. In my mind, Nick losing his Grimm powers is bad, but not something VERY bad like Renard warned.

To not look for a cure or reversal is basically accepting the spell and ll of its consequences. That is just stupid knowing how viscous Adalind and the Royals can be.

Once you find the cure you then have an option to use it or not. To me there is no logical reason to not find a cure. Period.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think her appearing youthful adds to the mystery around her and believe it was a clever call to have it this way. And hope you are right that we will find out.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Rosalee is empathizing.

Being caught up in the emotions of a moment is not the same as making the logical choice. Often the two are mutually exclusive! XD

    ReplyDelete
  30. That was my first thought too and my heart sank. Please do not let them follow that path as a plotline because that would be a very serious downer. Very off-putting and fun- killing. I would hate that happening.

    ReplyDelete
  31. It really appears that way though... Sadly.

It makes so much sense from Viktor's point of view...
    -Have Adalind cast the spell.
-Have Adalind come to your castle.
-Lock up Adalind in said castle's dungeon.
-Wait for the full effects of the spell to take place.
-You now have the Grimm in your dungeon.

    ReplyDelete
  32. That's another question. I am not saying that it would be smart no to look into the spell. I am just saying that Juliette has a point.
Ask yourself that question: If you were Nick and you would have the chance of a normal life again...would you take it? I know that I would be at least tempted to do so.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Everything you are saying makes perfect sense. But it is also making me perfectly miserable.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Honestly... No.
I don't think the first question on my mind would be if I could live with not being a Grimm.

    - The first thing I would concern myself with is reversing Adalind's spell or finding a cure etc....
    - The second thing I would do is ask the Captain what Adalind did since he attempted to warn them there would be dire consequences if the spell took effect.
    - After learning what all there is to the spell, wondering if its better to be a Grimm or not would be irrelevant since there is more to the spell than just that effect..

So from Nick's perspective, that question would honestly never enter my mind because it would be ruled out by my first few steps.

    From Juliet's perspective...
Considering "what if" ignores every logical step that should come first. The only reason to not look for a cure, or to keep Nick out of that equation is if your first priority is Nick not becoming a Grimm again. To me that is selfish even if she thinks she is doing it for his own good.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yeah, it would be selfish of Nick to put his own needs over everyone else's. But that doesn't make it less important to allow him to make the decision himself. Again, Juliette doesn't request of him or Rosalee to forget the cure for good. She only asks to give him a little bit time.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It would be as bad as the dreadful Renard/Juliet mutual obsession spell.

    ReplyDelete
  37. To work with the actual dialogue.
Juliette: "Maybe we shouldn't be in such a hurry to fix this."
Monroe: "You don't want us to help Nick?"
Juliette: "No, it's not that I don't want you to help Nick. But being a Grimm has not exactly be the greatest thing for him ... or me...and Nick isn't so sure he wants this anymore. So what I am trying so say is maybe you should give us a little time to see if not being a Grimm is better than being one. There is a chance for us to have a normal life together."
Then Rosalee and Monroe point out that he would still know about the Wesen world, and Juliette answers: "But shouldn't that be his decision."
So, yes, there is partly Juliette's wish for a normal life in it, but she is not trying to make the decision for Nick, she is only trying to give him the opportunity to think about what he wants and then make the decision himself.
I was originally fearful that the writers would go in the "Juliette insists on Nick not taking the cure" direction, but I really love how they handled this. It is very realistic, and an understandable train of thought.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Id say her methods for getting things done are unforgivable more than her intent, but the stripping of powers seemed like he had it coming from her perspective. I mean hate these types of storyline, as they've always ruined every show they've been done on(at leeast for me), but I can understand why she wanted to take away his powers though.

I pretty sure the fbi agent kidnapped Trubel.........?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Viktor is one of my new favorite characters now, even though he's definitely a villain. Honestly, I probably wouldn't hate Adalind so much if she wasn't such a DUMMY. I mean, she shows up, uninvited, to a castle belonging to the Kronenberg house. You know, the same people who tried to KILL her to get her baby.

I love her shouting, "You can't do this to me!" Um, YEAH, honey, he can. His house, his land, his rules. I wonder if there's some sort of deliciously horrible penalty for trying to sell royal blood on the black market...

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yeah, I saw and heard all that as I watched the episode and thought Juliet has selfish motivations for what she did - Not selfless reasons.

When Juliet told Monroe and Rosalee the look on her face when she added the "for me" after saying it hasn't been so great for Nick was a dead give away. To me that look revealed her true concern. So much so she realized what a tell it was and then tried to cover it up by saying Nick wasn't so sure he wanted to be a Grimm anymore.

That statement may be technically true since Nick said it may be a good thing for their relationship if he isn't a Grimm anymore. Although I don't thunk his statement or hers is an accurate description of how Nick really feels.

I saw his statement as him feeling hopeless more than anything. Especially when you consider he did not say it may be a good thing overall, or a good thing in general. To me it was a feeble attempt to make lemonade out of the lemons.. Like everything else may be worse, but at least the one good thing would be a much easier relationship with Juliet....

I do agree many people would react that way, but I think those people would be coming from a selfish perspective.

I think it is slightly more nuanced than Juliet of the past, but not much. The only person who would want to wait to find a cure is a person who does not want to go back to how things were.

To me there is a obvious line crossed when Juliet goes to Nick's friends with the suggestion instead of suggesting it to Nick himself. If she truly thought it was up to Nick and should be his decision she would have no reason to go to Monroe and Rosalie! She would let Nick go to them if and when he decided for himself. The way she did it is just sketchy. Plain and simple.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Wow, so all it took was for a two-headed snake to bite the captain to bring him back to life... so simple, lol...☺...

    ReplyDelete
  43. I don't think that the ine is that obvious...because I think that she simply doesn't want him to get pressured. If she would talk to him about it, he might make his decision based on her wishes. This way Monroe and Rosalee won't pressure Nick into a cure, but if Nick asks for one, he will get it.
Like I said above, if she had demanded "no cure ever" it would be another matter (and if she had actual control over what Rosalee does and what she doesn't do), but she only asked them to give Nick a little bit time.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I wonder if Adalind knows what's to come. I mean can she be so stupid to not inform herself about all the consequences before she uses a spell? I'd think that in her mother's book where she found the spell all effects were listed.

I really really hope it's not going to be a stupid body switch story. But I have to admit it would make sense. I wondered what Viktor would gain if the Portland Grimm isn't a Grimm anymore, but if he has him in Adalind's body in his dungeon, that would be a different story.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think everyone is a bit selfish every now and then. After everything that Juliette is through just because Nick is a Grimm can you condemn her for wanting her normal life back?

Maybe she thinks life will be less dangerous for Nick when he can't see Wesen anymore. It's not easy to have to fear for your boyfriend's life every day because he's a Grimm. I can understand her motives and why she would think that not being a Grimm anymore would be better for Nick. She's been nothing but supportive and concerned for him. She can't know that there is more to come for him beside being de-grimmed and she doesn't want to rush things but take the time to think about all possible ways and consequences which is perfectly understandable.

I guess once Nick made up his mind that he has to become a Grimm again she'll support him there completely. I hope she will and they won't have a petty fight about what's best for Nick or for her. I'm one of the few people who actually like Juliette and I like the fact that for once the lead character in a series is in a functioning relationship and I don't want that to change.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm hoping they go a different direction too!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm glad the show's back. These first two episodes are a good start to the season. I like this de-Grimmed Nick storyline so far. I certainly don't want them to drag this storyline out too much, but for now, this storyline is still interesting.

I wonder if the octopus guy permanently removed those bad memories from Trubel, so now he's stuck with them instead of her; or if she still has those memories, since his memory suction was interrupted.

I'm already intrigued by Renard's mother. I had a sense right away, from her first scene (even if she looked too young for the part), that she was probably his mother, by the way she lovingly looked at him, and her willingness to give (or trade?) some of her life to save his.

    ReplyDelete
  48. If it's a body switch (which I would also hate), I really hope it isn't one of those scenarios where none of NIck's friends can tell that Adalind is in his body.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I hope the writers are not that stupid. But because Grimm is not a comedy I'd like to think they would concentrate more on reversing the effect than on creating "hilarious" moments where everybody is too dumb to realize the obvious truth.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Had me worried about Renard for a minute and liking mom:) not liking Nick without his Grimm powers though.
