Once Upon a Time is stocking up on familiar characters in the second half of its fourth season.

EW has learned exclusively that Dracula alum Victoria Smurfit has been cast as an iconic character who will first be teased in the winter finale. Further details on the role are being kept under lock and key, but she will recur. Any guesses on who she’s playing?

    I think it's still a big assumption for that. Once has always placed Disney/ fairy tale Easter eggs here and there and he puppy could just be one.

    I haven't read anything that specifically said that the second half was going to focus on Maleficent, just that she was going to be part of the second half.

    I feel like instead of (if the rumors are right) casting more villains, have one villain and then strengthen the roles of the supporting cast. Like whatever happened to Red or what's Archie doing (other than say a few lines in every few episodes).

    IMDB says that both Raphael Sbage (Archie) and Megan Ory (Red) are currently filming movies, that's most likely why Red hasn't shown up at all that Archie has had VERY minimal work on the show this season so far.

    Aurora is the iconic Disney character.

    The original Sleeping Beauty from the fairytale is also pretty iconic IMO.
