ReplyDeleteI know, but to my knowledge they didn't actually become that popular until the movies came out in 2001, so I don't think a teenager would have made that kind of reference at the time. :) I'm from Holland though, so maybe the books were more popular in the US before that time.
ReplyDeleteActually the books were vastly popular before the movies came out. I wasn't really 'in to' HP but I knew about it when I was in high school. Kind of like Pokemon, the trend caught on fast.
