  1. It was so much better than season premiere, its kinda cliche vote for awful for TVD, after all, haters gonna hate

  2. Much better than last week. The bamon scenes were the best

  3. Awful. They just smacked every shipper in the face. Whiny Elena will never deal with her problems. Enzo creating a war with Stefan is pointless. I don't really care if they bring a vampire killing Fell back into town. Jeremy and this new girl are a zero. The only highlight of the show were the Damon and Bonnie scenes. But I do not want them coming with Elena hating Damon. We already went through this stuff when Katherine took over her body. Enough already.

  4. Thank god for damon and bonnie's scenes
This show need some fresh stuff
    Amazing episodes.

  5. What an improvement from the premiere! I'm not sure how I feel about Elena forgetting about her love for Damon because it just seems to obvious and it almost feels like we've done it before. I absolutely loved Enzo's moments, particularly with Stefan and Caroline. He had a lot of character to defend Caroline (although that was only the last straw in his many frustrations with Stefan), and I was completely shocked when he killed Ivy. I thought she'd stick around for a while, but I'm glad we won't be seeing anymore of her.
    - Loved the Alaric and Elena moments, I hope we see a lot more scenes with just the two of them. I think they have a very strong bond and he's the only paternal figure Elena has now. She really needs one, with how often she seems to be going off the deep end.
    - Caroline's scenes were excellent, I felt so much empathy for her when she was crying in the car and applauded her for tearing Stefan a new one. I'm so glad we're not jumping into a romance with these two, though one is bound to happen at some point (I'm patiently waiting!).
    - Enzo is really pissed about Stefan not working to bring Damon back. It makes me even more excited for his scenes with Damon when he finally IS back (although I'm a little more excited for Damon and Alaric to see each other).
    - Bonnie and Damon's scenes were HILARIOUS and I loved them. Very interesting start to this whole "where are they" scenario, thoroughly enjoyed it.
I don't have high hopes for the next episode, but because I went into episode 2 with low expectations I wound up really liking it. The soap opera feeling is still there, but gradually fading away.

  6. OK.

Most of my good points go to enjoying a few characters, which shouldn't really be an accomplishment at all and should be the norm. Elena's scenes meant nothing to me, and their total retcon of the love triangle was just pointless. Enzo was good but then he killed Stefan's girlfriend so I hope he gets hit over the head with a truck (she was cute and bearable, this show needs more cute and bearable) and Caroline was quite annoying this episode. What's up with her being super sensitive with Stefan all of a sudden? I get that they've always been quite close but jeez.

I like what's going on in Mystic Falls, with Jeremy being an absolute nightmare and Matt seems like he's headed towards being relevant for once. I also like the idea of the new Fell coming to town, the character could be interesting, though it makes me want Meredith back at the same time. I'm also really enjoying the Damon/Bonnie scenes and for once they're actually making me want to find out more about that part of the story. I can't think who's with them.

Can someone also remind me why they brought Alaric back?

  7. It was great but I have to say only like Bonnie and Damon scenes and Enzo and Caroline scenes

  8. I enjoyed it. Much better than the premiere. Like wayyy better. I'm still very upset about this whole storyline with Elena forgetting Damon. I'm livid! But as a DE shipper for yrs, I gotta say, I loved going down memory lane. And everything Elena said, I already knew!!! Aww my feels, I remember the MF dance, and I remember I played that scene to the ground, and listened to that song countless times on end, and the way she looked at him in that moment, I KNEW she was attracted to him. Her eyes, were unmistakable. That dance was so intense. As for when she fell in love with him. I always felt it was when she kissed him in the s2 finale. Turns out it was the season 3 Premiere. So I really wasn't off. And that necklace scene. I just remember thinking Two Flames, when they showed the candle when he walked through the door. DE, my OTP, I remember everything. Even the "It's okay to love them both...I did." By Katherine. So I laughed when Alaric said it. And then Elena said it which was even funnier.

I enjoyed the Damon and Bonnie scenes. And i've never said that in my entire VD series run. I didn't like all of them, but iI did laugh at some things. Damon dancing to Salt N Pepa, Whatta Man. HAHA!!! That was my jam. Loved that song. Bonnie stabbing the pancakes, and getting back her old teddy bear. I loved the arguing. And I got a little closure by knowing that they know that they are living the same day. And also that they were able to eat something else OTHER THAN PANCAKES!!! And ummm, since when can Damon not cook??? That's bullshit! Him and Stefan can both cook!! Though Stefan likes to cook more. I was so mad about that line.

Stefan, Caroline, and Enzo...I enjoyed that awkward dinner. Idc that Enzo killed Ivy, she was gonna die anyway. But i'm annoyed that he cared more about this girl than about Caroline's feelings. I mean c'mon i know that he's trying to move on but that's his best friend!! And he couldn't face her. (b/c he's totally in love with her, and he doesn't want her to think less of him. hehe) And Caroline!!! I haven't heard her say the word "Dick" in a very long time. And tbh i can't think of the last time she actually said, OR if she's ever said it. Now that i think about it, idt she ever has!!! Whoaaa, that's a Caroline, seriously??? Am i wrong about that?? If i am, someone please correct me. Anyway, i'll admit i liked it, Caroline was really hurt, and calling Stefan a dick was really passionate, he couldn't even look her in the eye. But i got a tiny glimmer of a "Dark Caroline" idk why, but i did, and i liked it. I didn't expect her to go crying in the car though, and i thought it was so cute how she tried to hide her face from Enzo and he turned her face around, that broke Stefan's neck. LOL "Neck man." I also enjoyed Stefan's and Enzo's fight scenes.

Matt needs to STOP TALKING! With all the bad things that has happened to him you'd think he'd be less trusting of people and keep his gaurd up some. Or use his brain a little. Once Trip said he was a "Fell", that should've been a red flag for Matt! Not sit there and ask a very obvious question! Now the question is, could Sara be Fell's daughter? Maybe?

I'm looking forward to next week. I'd like to know who is in the house with them in that time.Damon and Bonnie's storyline is very interesting. But i want more. Jeremy leaving messages for Bonnie, was sweet. I felt bad for him. And next week i'm prepared to have my steroline heart broken b/c i remember those heartbreaking pictures.

  9. "its kinda cliche vote for awful for TVD" THIS.

  10. I love this episode! Great scene Caroline and Enzo, Damon and Bonnie. I beg for more. Too a short stretch.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Did you pick up on that line from Elena when she and Caroline were talking (in the car). Elena said if Damon returned 'She would just get Alaric to get rid of the mind wipe'? Its that line right there said in part of that whole conversation which tells me that A) Alaric wont be able to undo it for some unknown reason (insert Macguffin here/ Brain damage /other) B) Alaric wont be available to do it C) Combination of A and B.

Its blatantly well almost bad writing from the writers to put that line in there. Funny though.

  12. The Bamon interactions this season are so refreshing. It's like a new part of the show and i really like. It's so much better then that snoozefest called Elena Diaries

    ReplyDelete
  13. Pretty much the Bonnie/ Damon scene were interesting, I'm actually curious about what's going on there. They seem to be the only story with an actual plot. The rest is just emotional/relationship drama.

Tripp Fell was interesting in a crazy psycho I enjoy killing way but it just didn't work for me.

Loved the Caroline/Stefan and Enzo scenes...talk about an akward dinner party. Not to sad to see the girlfriend go, she was mostly filler anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  14. damn it elena how could you she better get her memories back i'm not losing hope, but it was great seeing her memories of him and finding out of when she fell in love with him i would've thought it was during their first road trip, damon and bonnie hilarious, loved damom cooking and dancing, i actually think i like bonnie now, loved her stabbing her pancakes and when they were arguing she took the bear with her lmao and damon going into the room made it heartwrenching because of what was happening to elena, i wonder who Ledbetter is and what he wants, i liked enzo defending caroline at the end, stefan deserves the hell that enzo will bring him, no surprise cult guy knew about vampires but crazy truck

    ReplyDelete
  15. I loved the bamon interactions, looks like they're ressurrecting bonnie from season 1 and 2 they better keep it that way.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Seems like Bonnie and Damon scenes were the best part of the episode. Enzo, Matt and Jeremy seem pointless he should of stayed dead. I wonder how long they've been stuck there. Hopefully, time is not linear in their situation. Nothing new with Elena just more of the same. I don't mind Stefan's ultimate reaction to Damon's death, as he was already headed there anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  17. YES, Enzo to the rescue (sort of) with back - up from "Caro" (she has become the best of besties)! YES, for team (plutonic, because Klaus would kill Enzo) "CarZo"! Damon and Bonnie just (about) stole the episode for me. They have great chemistry (plutonic) on screen............Kat Graham just doesn't receive the credit she deserves for being a really "good" actress and how many times do I have to say it..........this series is the "Damon Diaries"! This episode was "sky high" better than the premiere............this episode would have been "perfect" if Lexie or Bex had been in it. Perhaps there is still hope for this series and...........Jules. BECAUSE DIARIES ARE STILL 4 READING, I will remain Nobody!!!

  18. I really liked it. It was really sa that Elena cant move on and decided to do that. Stefan and Enzo, that's nthing new.
Bring me the peroson who is hidding in 1994! that's what i want to see!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I thought the Alaric/Elena stuff was boring and pure fanservice.

At least we got to see Matt/Jeremy and now know that Tripp is using the anti-magic spell to kill vampires. I hope Enzo and Elena will be his next victims.

I didn't like Enzo at all. I was on Stefan's side in this one. I understood where he was coming from and why he wanted to move on and start over somewhere new. I wish Caroline would have been more understanding but killing Stefan's girlfriend was totally unnecessary and just plain cruel and made me wish for Enzo to die again. Countless people have died on this show and as the viewers we know Damon/Bonnie will be back - but resurrection generally is the exception to the rule and nobody was rushing around trying to bring back Matt's sister when she died (and when Esther tried to help her get a physical foothold on her plane Bonnie stopped it and sent her away as well as all the other ghosts who came back in Season 3), Caroline didn't try to resurrect her father, Tyler isn't out there trying to bring his mother back to life or his uncle, even Klaus/Elijah/Rebekah didn't know how to bring Finn & Kol back.

I enjoyed the Damon/Bonnie parts though.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think it's because they're going with Steroline so they need to establish that Caroline is falling in love with Stefan (which is totally out of the blue because Caroline has never been interested in Stefan romantically).

    ReplyDelete
  21. Nothing happened. Compared to the pace of story on Arrow and Flash, the pace on Vampire Diaries is practically non-existent.

    ReplyDelete
  22. TVD is really good this season, I love how character-focused it is!! and the damon/bonnie mystery is actually intriguing and exciting. LOVED elena and alaric moments with flashbacks to old times, even tho i'm not a delena/stelena fan, it's good to see the writers know the history. ALso loved enzo's interaction with stefan!, a bit bum about ivy though, she was a nice person! TVD keep it up! you're restoring my faith in you!

    ReplyDelete
  23. it's a slower build, but I'd rather have this than complete fillers, and with these slower episodes we get stronger character moments, which are definitely present in the first 2 eps so far

    ReplyDelete
  24. agreed, it's so obvious how an actually fresh storyline (ie. damon/bonnie's whereabouts) can actually revitalise the show. (side note: I love all the renewed focus on our core group of characters, remember last year we had to care about silas, amara and qetsiyah?, man this year is definitely a BIG upgrade)

    ReplyDelete
  25. TVD is to a great start this season, it was amazing, and the mystery if Bonnie and Damon's whereabout and who is also there, better than the premiere, and I loved the soundtrack of the episode, enjoyed it more than the season premieres of SPN and Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Totally agree on the stuff you said about Stefan, Enzo and Caroline.

I thought I was the only one extremely pissed at the events that unfolded. I will add this - I can understand Caroline being miffed that Stefan left without any goodbyes and wasn't even talking over the phone but apart from that they can't blame him for not trying to bring Damon back. I kind of forgive Caroline for being hurt, seeing that she has been slowly falling for Stefan (I don't mind Steroline (if it happens) at all) but Enzo killing Stefan's girlfriend really rubbed me wrong. Intensely disliked him at that moment. WTF is with this show? Introducing and killing off characters like mayflies - and to top it all their deaths are just a blip on our protagonists moral compass. Shrugged off with no consequences at all.

Anyways, it's so screwed up. Stefan is the only one who is dealing with the loss of his brother in a mature way. He is trying to move on and isn't stuck in the past and people are blaming him for that. Did Elena search for a way to bring Damon back? No, she was just happy to hallucinate him. Did anyone care about bringing back Bonnie? No, and the person who loved her (Jeremy) is just content to drown himself in booze and girls. Is Mystic Falls so out of this world that Caroline had to drop out of college just to lurk on its boundaries? Overall, everyone is doing screwed up shit and the one person who is actually doing something sane is being made to look like he's done something horrible. Frack this Shit!!

  27. I agree with the cliche!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. It was AMAZING, one of the best episodes of TVD, it was interesting, emotional, it created more questions and it advanced the plot, just AMAZING.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Really great ep!! Loved the Damon and Bonnie stuff, can't wait to see who is there.....my guess is Lexi.

I enjoyed the flashbacks of Delena, but just know I'm gonna end up hating she had her memory erased!! It doesn't take a genius to figure out Damon is coming back to a compelled Elena, who won't be able to have her memories back for whatever reason. On the plus side, Damon will have to win her back all over again! <3 Let’s just hope it doesn’t take so long this time!!!!!!!

So far this season is off to a promising start. I am really tired of the big bads being another new supernatural being and the vampires being the inferior equation. I’m liking this Fell possibility.

  30. And please, can´t the writers mke Caroline and Enzo happen??? They are way better in the few scenes they´ve had together in the series than Caroline and Stefan, I like them, but just as freally good friends, that´s all.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I really liked it, even though a lot didn't happen. I like that we're seeing more interactions between certain characters, like Elena and Alaric, Damon and Bonnie, Matt/Jeremy and random new people, etc. I also really liked LivTyler last week. I agree that the Damon/Bonnie story progressed slowly, but I'm hoping that the writers just wanted us viewers to also get that feeling of being stuck on the same day. but now that they've achieved that effect,...,.maybe they can move things along? Even with the slow pace, their parts were probably my favorite.

I really feel bad for Elena, but she really needs to learn to deal with her grief via the normal channels. With Jeremy, she turned off her emotions and now with Damon, she got Alaric to compel her to forget him. It was almost strange watching the difference in how Damon dealt with his grief. He just seemed like the usual Damon. Also, I'm somewhat neutral about the Delena ship, but I still found the flashback episodes very touching. It reminded. When Elena spoke about the high school dance and the necklace incident, it reminded me of a time, when I really liked the idea of those two being together.

I felt really bad for Caroline, but I really dislike Enzo for killing Stefan's girlfriend. Was that really necessary? I wish they'd just get rid of him, but given the writer's love of characters like Klaus and Katherine, I suspect he'll be there for the long run. I actually liked the new female character that Elena bit and Caroline compelled to forget. I'd take her as an addition to the cast over Enzo any day, but given that she's the type of character that the writers love to kill off, I'd be surprised if she survived for more than two more episodes.

  32. die enzo die. you're useless more than tyler.

    ReplyDelete
  33. a huge upgrade !! finally !!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Why, can't people have a different opinion?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Enzo killing the innocent girl Stefan was with just because he upset Caroline is one reason why I can never like Enzo. Great he defended Caroline, but killing wasn't necessary. And blah at him wanting to do what Damon did. Damon had a lot more reason, and Stefan regretted the cause of Damon's anger (not giving him a choice to die, forcing him to become a vamp pretty much).

I understand both Stefan and Caroline's povs. I get Caroline being upset Stefan wouldn't talk to her/call back, but I also understand him trying to move on.

He went the wrong way about it by excluding Caroline just because they're friends, but I can't blame him for trying to live a little and giving up on finding Damon/Bonnie. It's not like he didn't search, and as far as they last knew with the other side gone there's little hope.

It's not heathy to search endlessly for something very unlikely to be found. Vampire Diaries has something in common with Supernatural - the characters don't consider death final, so they keep searching in an unheathy manner for a way to save family.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Damon and Bonnie were the highlight of the episode for me. Everything else - meh.

    ReplyDelete
  37. much better than the premiere, but still off for me. I keep seeing paralells between this and Supernatural (elena erasing memories/sam's wall to forget hell, stefan leaving everyone behind after Damon died/Dean living with Lisa and Ben when Sam went to hell, Bonnie and Damon reliving the same day on The Other Side/Mystery Spot's time loop) and its not good for me.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Bamon sorting together through the time-travelling stuff was the high-light of the episode. I love everything to do with time travelling so i hope they will continue diving deeper into that.

I sped through the Enzo Caroline Stefan scenes and all the Alaric Elena scenes, can't and don't want make myself watch that crap. It's like the creators finally decided to give fans all the Delena they were supposed to be giving from season 1. too much, too late. overload.

The Tripp Fell guy scene at the end gave me feeling of deja vu. Just another nameless evil member of founding families that enjoys brutal killings and will be killed off by either Damon or Stefan or Enzo. How many were there? No one cares...

Stefan will try and won't kill Enzo yet again. It's not just me...right? we were through this before haven't we?

I usually don't give a rat's ass about the little Gilbert, but his scene with voice mail to Bonnie almost made me tear up. This is the first decent scene for Jeremy Bonnie pairing since EVER.

overall the episode was better than the pilot, but it's not much of an accomplishment. I voted for Poor.

God i hope this season is the last one. Put it out of its misery.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Alaric/Elena scenes looked like a recap of the Delena story. I felt sorry for Elena but I'm sure that when Damon comes back this is going to be a mess.
Speaking of Damon, I love his storyline and his dynamic with Bonnie. It is the most interesting part of the show.
Oh,how I've missed Enzo!It is one of my favorite characters despite the fact that he killed Ivy,poor girl. But everything he said about Stefan it's true and I think Stefan needed that push to realise that he shouldn't give up.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Except that the character moments overall have been empty of substance. These moments still need to advance the storyline in some fashion. Even the Damon/Bonnie storyline has been slow to develop, although more quickly than the series has done in the recent past. After two episodes, we know they are reliving the same date in a replica of Mystic Falls and that someone else is with them. That's it. Now, if some strong character moments occur between them, that would be a positive development. But Damon and Bonnie sniping back-and-forth in most of their scenes doesn't qualify. If they start collaborating on finding a way back home instead of constantly trying to out-insult each other, it would be better. An excellent example is when they collaborated to stop Alaric/Klaus at the high school dance.

Compare recent seasons to seasons 1-3, and there's a distinct difference in the pace and quality of the storytelling. These two episodes still have been filler for the most part, just not to the extent that episodes have been in recent previous seasons.

  41. I never liked or saw any point to the character of Enzo. He's one of many reasons why I stopped watching the show regularly. Looks like he's not going anywhere. Le sigh...

    ReplyDelete
  42. I told myself that this would be my last TVD ep but it was pretty good so I will stick around some more :p

    ReplyDelete
  43. I liked that scene when he got in the car looked at her and said "I'll be right back" right then i knew Enzo would break Stefan's Neck instead of Enzo being 0-2 lol.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yeah his reaction to her crying was unexpected. I was hoping that would make Stefan go out to the car, buttt Enzo snapped his neck. = /

    ReplyDelete
  45. Enzo cares for her alot and doesnt like when ppl hurt her feelings. so those ppl get Enzoed lol

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sounds like we'll be dealing with it for a while, most definitely when Damon gets back to stir up some drama between them as ALWAYS. Yawn. If they're gonna be together, just let them be happy for a while at this point. The obstacles are getting ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  47. From the very first moment Caroline was introduced on the show she was actively pursuing Stefan until he straight forward rejected her. It isn't out of the blue or unbelievable at all

    ReplyDelete
  48. You do realise this is a Drama show right? No Drama no show :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I don't think Stefan is dealing with his loss in a mature way. He is just hiding.
And it doesn't even matter if they feel more than friendship for eachother.. fact is they were best friends. And if my best friend would just disappear and never call or write and not even listen to my massages i would be pretty hurt and pissed too. Caroline lost someone too. She needed her best friend and Stefan didn't even care. He just thought about whats best for him. Clearly I feel sorry for him for losing Damon and i don't know what i would do if my sister would die but I wouldn't stop caring about my best friend.. especially if he needs me probably more than ever
