  1. I wasn't a fan of the first few episodes this year, but I've loved the last two. They're on a roll! Let's hope that next weeks episode is better than it looks.

  2. I really enjoyed this episode, Capaldi was on top form and the guests were top notch. I don't fully trust Skinner, I wouldn't be totally surprised if we did see him again with Missy perhaps, but he was fab as Twelve's 'Hastings' in this episode :)

  3. The Doctor was so happy Clara decided to stay and so was I ! They make such a great team :D
I really liked the episode ! I think Missy was the one behind all this... can't wait to find out !

Oh and the "are you my mummy ?" ? Best line of the episode :D

  4. Really enjoyed this episode. I laughed when the Doctor asked "Are you my mummy". So glad Clara and the Doctor are on the same page again

  7. A gem of an episode like the other episodes this season. I'm glad Clara and the Doctor have made up but I fear Clara's lie to Danny will come back to haunt her down the line.

  8. Another awesome episode. I have to say i wasn't expecting to like this episode so much but it was e very well executed idea and Capaldi remains a genius as The Doctor.

  9. "Are you my mummy?" hahaha, Doctor you get it. That was the best, its its crazy how I still remember that reference to recognize it.

Another nice episode. I liked it when the Doctor went all morbid mode, when Clara and him were alone in a passage way and was all like you won't see me again, to is dinner fun.

Who was commanding Gus and will its connection be brought up again? idk, but that AI Voice one heck annoying.
I liked how the Doctor tried to recruit Perkins

Clara, of course you can't just leave the Doctor like that! Life would be too sad after you have experienced the adventures with the Doctor.

Also I wonder what time in the future were they in and that Planet at the end. I know DW doesn't like to say specific or else it would get to timeywimy. My guess would be post 52nd century.

  10. I really liked this episode. The mummy design was fabulous. I think my problem with the Clara/Doctor relationship bits of the last two episodes are that...while I believe she was angry with the Doctor for leaving her on her own in that situation I didn't believe she was ready to quit him. (couldn't help it) I think that's part of why I found her change of heart at the end of the episode a little muddled.

  11. Finally an episode where I liked Clara! It's great she tried understanding the Doctor for once

  12. Yeah, she addicted one isn't she, just as much as the Doctor is. I think there's a reason why Foxes sang the song she did as the start, lol. Danny knew last week that Clara wasn't ready to quit, she was far too angry and emotionally connected still, but lying to him now is going to get her into trouble. He's not going to be fobbed off with a line about freaking rain showers, or using a sun bed now is he, lol.

  13. It has to be Missy behind it all surely? Wanting the ultimate soldier to die and pass over so she could collect him made me think so any way, especially if she could collect all the other people the Doctor couldn't save along the way too.

I loved Skinner as Perkins, but I really don't trust him as a character at all. He was just that little bit too helpful, and no-one else interacted with him, or seemed to even notice him on board the train (or TARDIS) at all. Which makes me think that only the Doctor could see him, so he could be a self-projected companion kind of thing to help because he really did think Clara was going to leave. Or he could have been a Missy plant of some kind, a dead person come up from her world somehow or maybe a hologram of some kind, perhaps Seb in disguise? I tried to hint in my preview that I felt something was up with his character, I really do have a feeling that we will be seeing him again.

  14. Yea Missy could just be that connection. I think last night I was too focused on the are u my mommy I like totally forgot for a minute about the Missy plot. Crazy. But with my memories back that ^ has valid points.
Specialy another phone call to the TARDIS.

Also Perkins did seem a little too wise but I liked the gesture of inviting him for that episode.

  15. Ha yes, the jelly babies and Tom Baker voice had the same effect on me the first time round too!

  16. An episode that feels like it belongs in the Hinchcliffe/Holmes Science-Horror era of the classic series, and the first victim is an actress from the final season of the classic series :)
