If you love Nashville, then you're going to fall head over heels for this exciting news!

The smash ABC series is kicking off their third season with a live musical event that will weave throughout the Sept. 24 premiere, Entertainment Tonight can exclusively reveal.

The unprecedented episode will feature two live performances from some of your favorite Music City characters, and get this—they will truly be live. Fans on the east and central coasts will enjoy the first set of unique live renditions, and then when it comes time for the west coast to join in on the country music fun, the Nashville stars will perform live for a second time.

  1. Live episodes are hit or miss. Looking forward to seeing this, though.

  2. I hate when shows do this. Like I truly effin' hate it. The live episodes of Will & Grace and ER were horrible ideas so why hasn't this concept just DIED YET.

  3. I hope they do this right. It'll be awesome. Also, since it will have four performances (2 in each timezone) I hope there's gonna be two versions of the episode avaliable online.

  6. With the exception of 30 Rock, I also detest live episodes.

  7. 30 Rock was an exception on all accounts, including it's insanely good live episodes, so that's probably why you forgot about it ;)

  8. I barely made it through West Wing's live episode. It was so boring.

  9. ER snagged an Emmy with that live episode of theirs, which they did twice from the ground up for the West Coast.

  10. It's not not whole episode, calm down, just the musical performances. The rest of the episode is already recorded.

  11. I've never seen a live episode, so I'm curious how this will turn out but I don't have high hopes.
