  5. I'm glad we're back down to one Alec. I am pretty curious about those guys from the future - looks like it could be good so I also would like to see the show renewed for another season.

  6. Just a AWESOME finale of a AWESOME series! All we needed was T - 800 Endo - Skeletons marching around with laser pulse rifles while "Hunter/Killers" crush human bones under tank treads and this would have been a James Cameron movie! Unbelievable twist ending. 4 A CONTINUUM RENEWAL, I will remain Nobody!!!

  7. From what Brad said about the beacon - it looks as if they were unsuccesful in changing the future he came from, and his soldiers picked up the signal and transported back in time to force the change they want to make.

Either that or the oposing faction intercepted the signal first and came back instead.

Kellog is a power hungry madman. I would never have expected his character to take this course with how he was in s1/2. I'm glad they've given him more teeth tbh.

  8. To me, it seemed like they made the future WORSE than Brad's version. I don't recall (in the minor amount we've seen), Brad's troops having "mech" suits.

  10. Yep, Simon Barry does it again. I'm dead, brain exploded! Continuum is just amazing, every season they managed to start slowly, than pick up pace to fininsh in a mind blowing episode that takes everything up to another level before the next season! I can't wait to buy the bluray and watch the whole season from the start to pick up on every hint I've missed!

  11. pretty good finale ep as things started to get a bit confusing, but even though it felt like Kira and Brad's relationship seemed to happen a bit quick I did like her teaming up with the remnants of Liber8 and good Alec to try and prevent Brad's version of the future - Kellogg pulling off the power play was cool but was pretty much hinted at - when Brad didn't know who Alec was and said that Kellogg was a warlord and I'm not sure why they didn't take him out of play but that would've eliminated the big bad for the next season if they get a renewal. I so hope that that they do and hope that they will wrap up the show

  12. Personally I think they've gone through the motions and ensured that the future he came from happens by doing exactly what they did. Kellog taking the CO's seat in Piron Sadtech shows this for me. I imagine the soldiers were wearing their mech suits as a standard in case anyone hostile was there upon their arrival.

S4 (fingers crossed for renewal) will most likely be a fight against Kellog, an attempt to set the timeline straight again and an interesting dynamic having these future soldiers in Vanvouver.

I have a feeling the Traveller's technology allows him to communicate across timelines and see the futures of each one - exisiting out of time in effect.

This season has taken a decidely darker direction, showing that in their efforts to change things they've created a worse future than the one they tried to prevent.

I just hipe with next season they reign it in a bit, don't confuse the issue further and explain things in more detail. The worst thing that could happen is the show runs out of steam as it is at its creative pinnacle at the moment in my opinion.

  13. It doesn't quite make sense to me how Kellogg pulled off the transition of power from Alec to himself, but maybe it will be illuminated more later. Anyway, it was a solid end to the best season yet of this series. Its shocker ending took things to a new level. I hope for a season 4, and I hope Dillon comes back in it.

  14. I think the season finale of season two was more strong, but that final scene with Kiera and Jason meet the soldiers of the future was really cool, the costume looks very HALO style.

It seems, based on comments from the show runner, that it is confirmed that these are kellog's future soldiers. However, the show runner also said that they are from Brad's timeline, I don't see that as being what it should be. I don't know if he was meaning to keep it simple or not, but at best, they are super soldiers from a variation of Brad's timeline.

I think of it like this... Kellog was able to take power, but evil Alec would have likely fought back and won thus likely equaling a mostly similar future as Brad's. However, good Alec likely lets himself be brushed aside, letting Kellog advance his new found power even faster. The older Kellog version we first saw, he was a wolf, presenting himself in sheep's (savior) clothing in the future Brad came from. Kellog, however, was only doing so in the hope of winning out to be the most powerful.

With the evil Alec dead, Kellog became unrestrained and instead of leading a factor for survival (power) in a world where evil Alec was alive. Kellog now is unrestrained to become the only game in town. I think that the only reason for the future super soldiers coming back is because this Kellog likely had to fight Libre8 and Kiera and Alec & others. This is a similar, but different future than Brad's. This Kellog must have decided that if he sent back some super soldiers, he could win and then he'd be free to create his utopian future.
