    gave it a good, mostly a set up ep that felt a bit on the slow side for me but I am looking forward to see how the season will wrap

    i'm confused about john doe,he was in the lab and shot a gun, and kiera is finally seeing that she chose the wrong alec, but kudos to erik knudsen for making us feel disgusted at piron-alec, i want Scar-Alec rescued and with kiera now more than ever, aside from disgusting piron-alec it was a poignant funeral for present kiera

    We never get to see a confrontation between Keira and Alec when she finds out he knows there were two of her. We just get to see bitchy Alec.

    I loved how Julian is figuring into this along with Alex. I loved how Kyra was feeling so violated that her other her did not have her CMR when it was disposed.

    Kiera has managed to alienate both Alecs, not a smart move Kiera!

    She could have at least pretended that she wasn't aware of his machinations if she was devious enough...

    Now though, she has lost her main source of help.

    So it wasn't actually Chen that killed Kiera? My theory on John Doe is that he's been sent from the future that this new timeline has created. By being there in the first place, the technological advances have bagan happening at a faster rate than Kiera's original timeline. I would imagine they've ended up creating a far sinister future than had came to pass previously, and in this new future Alec isn't the massive figurehead but Kellog is in his place.

    Sounds like a good theory. The fact that John Doe was in a "militia" rather than an organized unit also seems to hint that the future that came to past (get it?) does not have the same level of consolidated control that Kiera and Liber8's did.


    Also, the remark about Kellog being a big deal in the future makes it seem like he may end up maneuvering himself into the position of being the series' end-game villain.

    Kiera is isn't a well-rounded person. Most tv heroes are given every good character trait; they're competent, smart, charismatic, compassionate, sensitive, and skeptical.


    Kiera is competent, sensitive, and reasonably charismatic, but she is also incredibly credulous, not very bright outside of her professional training, and tends to lack compassion for anyone that gets in the way of her duties. It's part of what makes her a great character!

    With the advancements in tech already happening at an accelerated rate, it's easy to see how the future of the current timeline could go in a very much darker direction.

    I've maintained the theory since the begining that each stable timline runs concurrently with one another. I definitely believe the 2077 Kiera came from is still there, and there have been hints at this since episode one (everyone still in chamber after time travel device activates.) It's just a case of whether or not it is possible to travel to a future different from the timeline you are currently in (if that makes sense.)

    More and more, I think Kiera is going to see the error of her past choices as she continues to "wake up." I can't wait to see her showdown with the freelancers. It will be interesting to see a little more of the freelancer backstory explored in more detail. For all intents and purposes, the freelancers as an organisation should be considered a good thing - protecting the time continuum against changes as best as they can BUT there are obviously darker threads in their intentions.

    I really loved Kiera's bitchy moment with Katherine. They're both hard ass bitches when they want to be so that dynamic was interesting to watch.

    Yeah, using the theory presented in Back to the Future, I doubt Kiera could return to "her" future, since travel into the future, would quite likely be a future based on the timeline she travels from. If one were to blow up Vancouver in 2014, and she travels to 2077, Vancouver would likely remain in ruins.

    The John Doe character who I imagined to be her son, may be someone else entirely. But not necessarily originate from the same "future" as hers.

    I like this theory. It would make sense that the changes that they're making now could impact the future in ways they haven't considered and he was sent back to try and fix things.

    KEIRA – “Keep going, try to remember… ”

    JOHN DOE – “She just had to count them by the windowsill for hours in the rain… it’s the middle of the night, why’s it so bright out? You can see every point of light, from every window, the towers should be dark, you can’t even see the stars… ”

    KEIRA – “Why would the towers be dark?”

    JOHN DOE – “Because, because ribbons of dark slashed the starlit sky, something, something, because it’s dangerous, towers of dark”

    So I know John Doe is from the future supposedly but doesn’t that sound a little bit like what happened when Keira’s timeline collapsed and was completely destroyed because of Alec’s time travelling and also in part because of her own meddling actions? You know that whole big scene we saw in an earlier episode? That would explain why such a seemingly nice guy like John Doe would volunteer to kill Keira, another really nice person, if she had not only killed his whole family but everybody on the planet when a timeline was destroyed. So if that’s the case, does her actions destroy another timeline or was he from the timeline she already had hand in destroying? Or am I drawing connections where there should be none?

    As for theories I had a whole theory that there is no time travel and Keira is an A.I. system in a conflict over two different systems of governance and control with Alec Sadler her creator. Because of that recent episode with all the seemingly blatant Matrix like talk and references with dialogue of "waking up" being said left and right, Keira suffering headaches with the famous sound effect from the Matrix being used, the crazy foreign, unreal, planet-like setting of the episode, people discussing her like a patient in a coma, with the two opposing sides here being such a stark black and white contrast. I was thinking, Liber-8 sounds a hell of a lot like the name of a computer virus which started this whole internal debate for Keira, like in the future a faction against the corporate system hacked her system with the Liber-8 virus. And the whole absurd Time Cop people who have been waging a timetravel maintenance war for thousands of years yet they only staff five people to do it are really instead people who do a similar thing and correct changes in Keira's code when 3rd parties try to hack into her system and change her code for personal gain and timetravel and time cops are just a metaphor in this whole simulation we're watching which is A.I. Keira trying internally trying to choose between two systems that have her confounded. And the timetravel tree we saw, that's Keira's overall code. And the timeline collapse was a change in some of her core code which changed her overall personality slightly and altered this simulation going on which would explain why this season the characters all have altered personalities.

    Now I think I was totally crazy and that all the weird unexplainable things about this season with us even getting a direct message from the writers one episode when Carlos has a line of dialogue about "it's like we're in some kind of Bizarro world" when I was thinking that every episode leading up to that since every character was now darker and unexplainably evil-er (because of a week-length time travel trip by Alec? And when a dozen terrorists and a cop time traveling 60 years or whatever didn't cause anything like that to happen???) is going to be explained all simply by bad writing. Is the current showrunner the one who started the show in season 1? I'm a little worried they had a showrunner in season one and just enough of a time-travel idea for one season, then they ran out of ideas, somebody else took over, and they're just pulling stuff out of their behinds, there's no continuity from season one, and the show's going to end as a mess.

    The only way I can see the "Red/Green" fracture being fixed is if (Green) Emily travels forward a week (before she dies/died on the roof) to stop (Red) Alec from traveling back a week to save her. If Emily departs (time travels) before her death on the roof she would in fact not die, thereby giving (Red) Alec no reason to travel back a week stopping the "Red/Green" fracture from happening and restoring the previous (season 2) timeline. I've thought long about the "Freelancers" (Red/Green) dilemma and how Kiera could possibly fix it, if in fact restoration of the timeline (before Red Alec jumped a week) is the goal of this season (3). Sorry for my tardiness, but this took some time and thinking on my part.................and I'm still not sure if this will/would work. 4 A LIBER8ED TIMELINE, I remain Nobody!!!
