  1. I really liked the Regina/Robin scenes! :)

  2. Regina and Robin are so cute I can't even. She literally gave him her heart! And I like that she was smart enough to leave her heart behind.

Whoa, Zelena's a little bit crazy. I'm not sure about Snow's dad being her dad now too, though, since that could make her royalty too.

    Great episode!

    ReplyDelete
  3. I wonder if we're going to find out who Zelena's biological father was.

Didn't they just do a storyline about the laws of magic on OUATIW? You can't change the past was one of the three rules. So is Zelena going to be doing the same thing as Jafar was and try to change that?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Not sure I enjoyed Zelena's back story. It was a bit on the boring side and predictable. I love that Walsh was the wizard!

The showdown in SB was amazing! Smart of Regina to take her heart out. She's smarter than Zelena.

Rumbelle need some happiness already! They're so tragic! They don't have many scenes but when they do they're very powerful.

Regina and Robind are getting closer. She trusted him with hear heart!

  5. enjoyed it! loved the background on the Regina/Zelena dynamic and the should've been obvious reason why the WW is green... nice slow development with Regina and Robin (good to see Tink again) and I really liked the Hook/Henry scenes as well

    ReplyDelete
  6. Love this episode so my question is the Charming baby gonna have the powers to change the past

    ReplyDelete
  7. An okay episode. The Regina/Robin scenes were the only standouts for me

After this episode I'm hoping that after three seasons they're going to address how many horrible things Rumple has done to teenage/young women and have their be consequences to that beyond them coming back to haunt him later. Like him actually admitting his guilt and such. He's got Belle brainwashed so she comes across like an idiot in most of their scenes so I doubt she'd ever hold him accountable, even for the things he's done to her and Regina clearly loves him a bit. I'm holding out hope for Emma.

I'm not sure why they keep shoehorning all these ridiculous Captain Swan things in when Jennifer Morrison is so clearly not into it. At any rate, making Hook into an even bigger douche by screwing things up for her even more with Henry is not a good look.

Hopefully next week we finally get some plot advancement.

    ReplyDelete
  8. slow development? LOL, she met this guy one day ago and she decide to give him her heart because of tattoo? Sorry, but Regina has officially joined team dum dum.

    ReplyDelete
  9. So Zelena did all this cause she was jealous that Rumples chose Regina over her? Seems a bit petty to me. I wasn't feeling the Robin Hood/Regina stuff at first, but I'm warming up to it now. I really like him. My poor Rumbelle loving heart needs something good to happen though, and not here for the inevitable Captain Swan.

  10. Very good ep. I loved the Hook & Henry scenes. The "fight" scene wasn't that exciting. Loved the Oz twist. Loved that Walsh was Oz, didn't see it coming! Does this make Walsh Dorothy too or just related? I enjoyed the Robin & Regina scenes. Zelena is def crazy.

  11. How do you know what Jennifer Morrison is or isn't into?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Whenever I heard anything about changing the past in this episode I thought about the Wonderland story. They really should have found a way to connect both stories at the end of season 3.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Just how disconnected she seems from the scenes. The only thing I get from a lot of her scenes with Hook is complete disinterest. Dead eyes, turning away from him, always stepping away. Some people think that's excellent, I dunno, it doesn't sell me on the ship at all. Especially compared to the other developing ship on the show.

    ReplyDelete
  14. small question, do you that is it not the actress but the acting that is at work? there is clearly suppose to be appreciation from Emma about Hook and that is kind of how she is "playing" it.

    ReplyDelete
  15. The actress IS the acting. I think Jen is somewhat talented, she's good at crying and being angry but the way she's acting Emma makes me actually not ship this at all. I'm seeing "yeah, he's around and hasn't tried to kill me this week" from Emma, but that's it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. This show has some of the worst acting on tv.

    ReplyDelete
  17. well, to a certain extent but picking up on emotional subtly can be subjective and interesting. i like how you see it one way and i, probably because i'm rather old, see it another. can understand why people have such divide opinions about this pairing.

    ReplyDelete
  18. what's rather old?

    ReplyDelete
  19. over the 18-35 year old demographic.

    ReplyDelete
  20. That's funny because my spouse is quite a bit over that age bracket and hates the ship even more than I dislike it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. probably comes down to my personal proclivities and liking odd and semi-dysfunctional pairings.

    ReplyDelete
  22. but deliciously so

    ReplyDelete
  23. I like dysfunctional pairings myself but I absolutely loathe when they're supposed to be romantic.

    ReplyDelete
  24. yes, but that sells the fandom tickets. for example there is a lot of positives for Rumple and Belle but i find that pairing to be lecherous and weird. it makes Belle seem sickeningly naive and Rumple desperate.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I loved how Regina bested Zelena in thwarting what she wanted. It was sad that Walsh was the Wizard and was her first Flying Monkey.

it has some of both good and bad acting. I seriosuly don't care at times, it's fun to watch most times even when there's bad acting (some times it's fun to watch because of bad acting... unless you are Henry)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Nice start to a back story.
Thought is was funny that Zelena wants to time travel and the Wizard tells her there is no magic that can do that, when all of us that watched OUATiW knows there's a spell book out there!
Like that Zelena has some things in common with Rumple
Kind of disappointed that Emma can't do anything at this point
LOVE the way Oz interior scenes looked
    Walsh was the Wizard! XD
Regina and Robin continue to be fun
    Love the dwarf munchkin exchange
Still am hoping Rumple's her dad and not Leopold.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Do you think Rumples is gonna end up being Zelena's father (Remember He and Cora had a short love affair last season in flashbacks before Regina was born)? It's my pet theory.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I hope so. I just think it would go with the beginning of the season and the whole Rumple family saga better IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Agreed, and it could also set up even more so my idea that Henry will eventually become the next (or perhaps final) Dark One, keep it in the family.

    ReplyDelete
  31. OMFG I cant ! it was perfect! Zelena's move it's going to eb very risky, "You cant change teh past" that's a rule of magic, there it is a connection with Wonderland right there! @DarthLocke4 where are you? Zelena or even Walsh can go to Wonderland and steal the book.

I had to laugh with some acting at the times but i didnt even care the rest of it was good. regina and Robin were lovely!

This was an ok episode. Zelena's background was predictable not to interested in it. There is just something about her being Regina's sister that I just don't buy. Her being mad at Rumpel for choosing Regina over her was also predictable. Shouldn't Zelena be used to rejection by now I mean come on. Regina and Robin scenes was ok, I just have this feeling that the writers are going to make Robin a bad guy and make him hurt Regina in some way which will make her even more evil. I say this every week but can they please give Henry back his memories already. Not sure what they are waiting for but I just don't like him without his memories. I am just waiting for Rumpel to break Zelenas hold over him and get his revenge. I mean it Rumpelstiltskin I know his has something to break the hold. The fight scene between Zelena and Regina was ok, not the best. I mean Regina not bringing her heart was a smart thing but leaving it with Robin, not so smart in my opinion, I just can see him being evil and somehow hurting Regina. Overall the episode was ok. Next weeks Hook-centric episode does not interest me but we will just have to see.

  33. This episode was great, the camera movements were so cool and different, Oz and the Wizard were awesome, it looked beautiful. I like Zelena, i really wanna see more of her and Regina and Robin Hood were great together. I love all the Oz references, and the clicks of the slippers were a cool touch, can't wait for Glina and Dorothy to show up :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well, Rose McGowan is back as young Cora this season, so I'm pretty sure we'll find out who Zelena's dad is.

Also, Zelena isn't trying to change the past but she's trying to recreate it her way (so with her casting the spell instead of Regina).

    ReplyDelete
  35. She knows that he is her true love, so he's pretty much one of the best chances she has not to mess with her heart.

    ReplyDelete
  36. So, who is going to lose their "brain?" I know. Who has lost their memories? There, he needs his brain back. So now we have the Tin Man (Regina), the Lion (David), and the Scarecrow (Henry). Clearly Dorothy is Emma. If Emma is smart, she would carry water with her all the time.

I didn't like what they did to the Wizard.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I loved it.
At first, I really liked Regina alone, but now that I've seen the scenes she's had with Robin Hood, she just needs to be with him already :D

    ReplyDelete
  38. Regina giving her heart to Robin? Oh this is going to end badly, I can feel it. But I have to admit that these two together are just a pleasure to watch.

I am really trying to like Zelena as villain but it's not working. I find her over the top most of the time and even her background story was a little meh...I don't know...I expected more from this character.
And please, please enough with the wicked puns writers!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Regina is the Tin Man, the one looking for a heart who ends up all heart.

    ReplyDelete
  40. That would definitely make them kissing risque, which I can't see OUAT ever doing.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yeah, that might be pushing it too far.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I believe Rebecca Mader said that photo was a BHS photo taken in between takes when they were messing around.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I responded to Sara with a quote and link about how the photo of them kissing is a behind the scenes photo, but even though Mader says that, she still says we have to wait till April 20 episode to see for sure about that kiss...

    ReplyDelete
  44. That's a good theory! I like it! :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Ya I wasn't expecting there to be a shout out so soon! I know the writers/producers said no plot threads from Wonderland would become apart of OUAT, (which is why some speculate Will will only be apart of flashbacks), but this is one of those times where I hope they totally lied!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think there are definately characters all throughout OUAT and OUATiW who allude to Ozian characters, but like in a lot of cases I do think that at some point we will meet actual characters that are not doubles of our characters.
PS: we will meet Glinda soon and she is not Tinkerbell

    ReplyDelete
  47. In OUATiW there is a spell book (not that I think we'll see it, because the writers keep insisting that despite Will Scarlet/The knave of hearts is joining the cast, that wonderland's plot threads will not follow. Honestly I don't fully buy that because of Jafar in particular, but setting that aside) that can change the laws of magic. In the finale Jafar is able to do so and briefly begins to defy them...when he gets to the "changing the past part", the writers did it in sneaky way that instead of it being "time travel" as one would presume, he threatened that he could reach in and "twist" Alice's memories instead...I found it a curious thing, since this is what curses (and undoing them) do...

    ReplyDelete
  48. but it still happened too fast. Snow, Emma, Charming, Granny, Archie - these people are good and she still often don't trust them. So why on earth she would trust Robin Hood? Because of tattoo? Fairy dust? Give me a break. There is a crazy bitch on the loose and Regina thinks that now it's a good time to trust stranger. Soulmate or not this is stupid, rushed and pretty confusing storytelling.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Ok, if we do, then I was wrong about Glinda. But I feel the call out to the Oz characters was obvious last night. David called the Coward, and Regina giving up her heart. Interestingly enough, Regina seems to be a "Darth Vader" kind of character in the series. Starts off with a lot of heart, it gets hurt, and she is turned to the dark side. We now see her slowly coming to terms with her heart. She still has a darkness in her, but I think the ending for her must be redemption, and more than we have seen so far.

Until then, even though she is the "Tin Man" she needs to avoid falling houses.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Well, with Walsh being the initial Wizard, becoming a flying monkey, he is a diversion and maybe Victor will become the true Wizard, so to speak.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I don't think so because David Anders is a regular for CW's iZombie next fall

    ReplyDelete
  52. We don't have to see the Wizard often.

    ReplyDelete
  53. True. It all just depends if we will being seeing going to Oz or not, but even on OUATi W there are grand allusions to Oz too from films, novels, and an extension to LOST's allusions to Oz (as there should be because most think Baum narrowed a great deal from Carroll)

We just have to wait and see where all of this is going. :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. Well, consequences DID come back to haunt him, and in the worst way: his son, the one person he couldn't live without, died tragically.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I laughed when Snow was worried about a possible trap in Cora's fault and yet entrusted her baby to a complete stranger.

    ReplyDelete
  56. what tok Zelena so long to make all this work? She already changed into the wicked witch when Regina wasnt the evil queen yet...then all those years of fight against snow, then the curse came, 28 years in our world, then about 2 years wn the curse was broken...It took Zelena a lot of time...She probably couldnt get to our world so she had to wait all those 28 years for them to come back (but she had the magic shoes). Still no point she didnt come back to E.Forest earlier. She had enough time between the events from this episode's flashbacks to the curse of E.Queen being made. I hope the writers will bother to explain this.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Soha is joining OUAt? where did you read this? I thought OUATiW was cancelled. Did it have any resolution? that story?

    ReplyDelete
  58. its not the worst acting, but the script...For example its hard to show how a character can change from nice girl to envious green monster in just 40 minute episodes...There are some short cuts in the story and that make an impact on acting. My opinion. Of course some actors have no skills...one kid in particular. At least he has some time to learn. For others its too late.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Emerald city looked really nice, the design and how it was made, the cgi.

    ReplyDelete
  60. there are a lot of reports that said that you can find one ehre on the website, OUaTiW is cancelled that's right but tehre is a chance that people from there can come to Stoorybrooke.
And yep, Wonderland had a good ending but still they left loose ends

    ReplyDelete
  61. Yeah, I really love them together:) It was smart and so touching with the heart. I also liked very much the look Robin gave her when he was reading the letter, thinking it was about her:)

I think she'll get her heart somehow, because we'll have this AU version it the last episode but I really hope it won't stick and they won'tspend half of the next season trying to ensure Regina's born becase that'dmean we won't get her on screen:(

About Leopold, I don't remember that very well but maybe he couldn't or wouldn't marry Cora at the time... Although I prefer he wasn't the father, because it would be creepy and sick for a mother to make her daughter marry her sister's father....

    ReplyDelete
  62. The new curse must have removed some of her brain cells.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Zelena is pathetic in every way. She was nuts before she was evil. "I just want to find my family. Hey look, there's my sister! I'm gonna kill her."

    I just want her gone.

The only time I cheered for her was when she left with the slippers that could have saved Rumple a lot of time and trouble. Hahahaha! That's what you get for being a dick, Rumple!

    ReplyDelete
  64. It wasn't cancelled, they always said it was Only going to have 13 episodes, then end.

They might of had another season with 13 episodes, but only if the ratings were as good or better than OUaT. But that is speculation,ABC never came out and said yes,it was implied.

    I didn't watch after the 4th episode,but i do believe there was a resolution/closure to the storyline.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Right, but with that logic then, Victor/Whale should be the Wizard and not Walsh (Episode: The Doctor). It's not that I don't think one or two characters can't or won't double/triple over, or that we couldn't see a tale where some of the characters have a story that alludes to Oz characters like Regina, Charming, and ---, but I still think that there are probably lots of Oz characters too that maybe we'll get into next season...Robin has a lion tattoo too.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Me too. But I hope I'm wrong!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Regina and Rumple are deliberately over-the-top hammy at times (and I love it), but most everyone else is pretty bad. Belle is atrocious.

The should bring over Emma Rigby when they bring over Michael Socha. Those two have shown they are damn good actors.

    ReplyDelete
  68. To much time on your hands I think lol....great ep by the way:)

    ReplyDelete
  69. I really like the way they're approaching Outlaw Queen. Regina is the only character I truly appreciate, so having her story be consistent and not just throw at viewers is great.

As for time travel... I have my problems with it, but I'll just let it roll of my back. Will it probably make absolutely no sense and completely break any shred of consistency? Yep, but at this point in OUAT you have to stop taking everything so seriously and just enjoy the fun bits.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I really wish there was a 'more than awesome' option for this one haha

    ReplyDelete
  71. I really enjoyed this episode. The backstory of the WW felt not too forced. I was hoping the Wizard of Oz would be someone different, but hopefully we'll get to know him better in the coming episodes. Only thing I didn't like was Henry. He's made progress in acting and he was really good at the beginning of the second half of the season, but now his character annoys me again.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Your comment made me smile

    ReplyDelete
  73. yes, they are. shame that show is done...

    ReplyDelete
  74. Actually it was originally meant to be limited series for hiatus (summer, then changed to winter) and then by the time comic con came, 13 episodes were ordered with the option for more episodes (I think 18 or something) and that it would now be slated for fall instead of winter hiatus (in the Thurs death slot), --with also potential for a second season (stated at comic con), even though the first season was still meant to be a very specific story told....

IMO I think they did stick to the initial plan of telling a specific story, but as I state in my review, there are things left open and I do think the story could of been better should of they had time and/or better execution in revealing more story and/or fleshing out certain characters.

    ReplyDelete
  75. It's hilarious how clueless now can be. I guess it's safe to assume Zelena won't be after her brain.
