I know you are all concerned about the future of #TheMentalist, but be patient. We are all working for a #Season7Mentalist. WB has our backs

I really hope it gets a 7th and final season so they can give it a great send off
ReplyDeleteSo, there's still a bit of hope. :)
ReplyDeleteI am sure the Mentalist could be optioned to TNT for the 7th season if CBS passes.
ReplyDeleteDoes CBS have their backs?
ReplyDeleteAnd that, ladies and gentlemen, is the million dollar question.
ReplyDeletedefinitely a possibility, shipping the show off to another WB affiliated network could probably do the job.
ReplyDeleteThen again: what show has enough impact to warrant such meassures from Warners side ?
I mean...not even Buffy
It's so so rare, but if any other channel would pick it up after CBS dropping it, it'd be TNT.
ReplyDeletemetalgear
ReplyDeleteIt's in Warner Bro's best interest to keep the show running as long as possible. 58 million viewers worldwide is a helluva lot of profit for them! But it's so rare to see a show get picked up by a different channel, it still has a bigger chance of getting renewed by CBS.
ReplyDeleteIt has already crossed syndication numbers, I don't think WBs interest is that big.
ReplyDeleteLet's see if WB has as big of a heart as Mark Pedowitz does
The show has so many followers worldwide, at least announce a final season to honor the loyal fans even if it runs less episodes. To many television companies are forgetting it's the fans watching that keep the stations running. Long running shows as the mentalist need closure:) I personally would like to keep mentalist running for many more seasons but if it has to end please do it right.
ReplyDeleteOn one hand I want to take this as credible but I wish it was a writer tweeting it.
ReplyDeleteI will take it with a little salt but I did remember the press.r. stating WB is fighting for it. I think CBS would not be dumb to not give a final season with Simon and the other cast signed for 7. But I would have
interesting......if CBS dont renew it......cable will? where not everyone have cable though
ReplyDeleteNo he is saying WB will do its best to convince CBS because the reboot is universally thought of as successful.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Jimmy is getting the feeling as I do writers are not planning finale. They are filming last 2 episodes and he has to have clues.
Do you think there is a chance there could be a 7th season Jimmy Gadd.
ReplyDeleteStill Pissed TNT didn't pick up Smallville when CW ended it. Hope TNT will be smart and do the same they did with Southland.
ReplyDeleteBabar basically asked my question that no one seem to think bout lol
ReplyDeleteYou don't know how I hope that the Mentalist gets a 7th season. That would be such great news.
ReplyDeletethis is going to sound horrible....Who is this guy? and why should I care about what he is saying in relation to the show?
ReplyDeletehope we'll have whole season of jisbon
ReplyDeleteIf Jane and Lisbon interaction continues to be scarce and this new agent continues to take over as the leading lady of the show, please cancel it now. I don't like the changes. I went from being obsessed to shocked by the changes in the blink of an eye. Why is Emily getting more airtime and interaction with Simon than Robin? Why do we have to lose leads and then replace them with boring characters? Ugh. I don't care if it's renewed or not with the writing now. I miss the old Mentalist before Red John was killed. Worst decision ever on this show was to reboot it after killing RJ off.
ReplyDeleteTNT already has first run rights so adding production sharing would work in their favor.
ReplyDeletedidnt Smallville end because the lead didnt want to carry on?
ReplyDeleteif the WB offer CBS a sweetner I dont see why not. otherwise I dont see why CBS would have its back when its WB that will be getting the most from keeping it around?
ReplyDeleteWell, Well, but as long as the producers Mentalist, Warners Bros. and CBS found an agreement.
ReplyDeleteBut if he said that, it really is that producers intend to extend the series.
Oh ya i forgot bout that lol
ReplyDeleteHe is the Lead Editor on the show
ReplyDeleteWait, they're trying to make another season? With the ratings so low, the Red John story (rather disappointingly) concluded, and Bruno Heller doing Gotham (hope they don't screw that up), I figured this show was as good as done.
ReplyDeleteIt may have crossed syndication numbers, but the additional product (say, 15 episodes) is definitely worth a lot more on back end. When you have a lucrative product that does well in syndi/international, the more episodes the better. I really think this is a good fit for TNT.
ReplyDeleteSorry guys, but I want The Mentalist to be over this season. This was once my favorite show and now it's just a poor excuse of what it once was. RJ finale was terrible, this reboot is even worse and boring, new killer is lame. Sorry, I won't be happy if it gets another season, because I have no faith in writers to pull something good.
ReplyDeleteDude, no one said you had to keep watching! What about all of us who are still enjoying the show? :(
ReplyDeletethere are still a lot of The mentalist there is a small minority who hate RJ which was brilliant finale haters going hater
ReplyDeleteplease, please, please!!!! New season!! It is the small details in the show that makes it exciting! It doesn't need any "fancy pansy" new technology... I really hope for a new season, it is one of my favorite shows... we need someone clever and Patrick Jane is the perfect character. He would rather go to prison than do something he doesn't want to do.
ReplyDeleteI sooo hope there will be a 7th season! Ilove Patrick Jane and all his charms! I at least want to have a happy ending with him and lisbon! don't let this great series end without it!!!
