  4. It was good but I hate Haibach as mass killer if a bank robber can't be a killer how is a pedophile? Haibach is not computer savvy, confident, intelligent to carry out premeditated killings and kidnappings. Physical and psychological not possible. Why no FBI profile? Writers are talking creative writing too far.
Iol Jane and Kim at the library. He loves having her on. Kim talking control after the fight without using a gun yay.
Will miss Cho/Rigsby friendship most! Kind of weird VPxRigsby were aloof with Jane. Huh? It appeared they never saw each other 2plus years but so what they were close once and he will be saving her next week. I really wish their story was wrapped up post Red John though. It feels off.

  5. It was good to see the team together. I thought the episode was awesome. I love how Jane got everyone to follow a hunch which was great because it narrowed down the suspects. Very exciting.

you can't say that Haibach is the one behind this.......he just the current prime suspect but I sure there will be another twist.

  7. Why can't we see more Jane and Lisbon? I don't care for this new chick. Ugh. I can't believe Lisbon has been demoted and Robin is no longer the leading lady. I think it's time to put a fork in it. I personally don't want to see Jane and a new agent do all the heavy work and Lisbon feeling like a recurring character. It's as if Simon and Robin can't share scenes together anymore. This new chick does nothing for me and has no chemistry. Very boring character. Something feels way off with this reboot. I am near tuning out for good and this was my 2nd fav show behind Castle. What gives?

  10. If anyone thinks it is not Haibach who do you think it is?
The writers do not care to hide it I get the feeling (press release names) but I would love hearing different theories!

  11. If you say so. I'll believe it when I see it.

  12. The writing has gone downhill this season...

  13. I disagree a lot of the season five writing was worse, worst of all boring. They are toughing out more than one story per episode but the case tonight was creative, twisty yet the other case not so much. The ongoing case they are not following through I wish the stalker plot

  14. I loved how the old gang is back. I hate that Grace is in danger from the red John ex suspect.

  15. I respect your opinion about S5, but to me with the original cast solving the cases I had a lot to tune in for, but now with the team separated and the new characters doing nothing for me, the turn of events since killing Red John has been more boring and uninteresting. The case I am still interested in is the mystery behind killing offtethe old CBI team/characters associated with them. The new COTW don't hold the same appeal to me like in the past when we still had the CBI team together. The reboot for me personally is torturous to watch. I've been dozing off and having to rewatch it later. This is a show I couldn't miss for 5 and 1/2 seasons, but now I can barely stay awake during it.

  16. I am sick of Lisbon lol but she will be getting the new guy soon to keep her busy.

  17. Im sick of Agent Fischer. I need my Jane and Lisbon interaction back! NOW!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I am so sick of Fischer its unbelievable. Why does she get all the Jane scenes? And were is Lisbon? I mean Robin Tunney is the lead of the show and now she gets ... what .... all in all 1min screentime? wtf? Can we please kill Fischer and give us our duo back?

  19. Great having the old team back, but Jane with Kim is just not interesting. Jane and Lisbon interaction please.

  20. Im agree fisher is just annoying and no chemistry with jane, bring back jisbon and old team it's miss me

  21. Missed Lisbon. She brings out the best in Jane. Speaking of Jane, why does he seem more interested in a fracking case than being a friend these days?

Losing VP and Rigs hurt a great dynamic. Chigsby is gone, the 'family' element is gone and now Lisbon is too. And what is left? A disconnected Jane who hasn't the Red John preoccupation/obsession to blame for his neglect of friends. He used to be my favorite. But I just can't connect with him anymore. Then Lisbon became my favorite-and she's barely there. And the best duo on television is gone with her. I don't know. I love this show, the writers, the crew, the actors-they're great. But the series, after "Green Thumb" it just feels like you and this old, beloved friend that you've been separated from and were so eager to see again has returned home but they've changed since you saw them last and all the best, most beautiful parts that you admired and enjoyed about the 'friend' are gone.

  22. i found it very disappointing that some tried to kill RIgs, vanpelt and their baby, and jane wasnt the least bit interest???

Personally I thought the episode was great (seeing the team together again RULED), but I thought the fracking case was weak and kinda boring. I just wish Jane had an enemy worthy of his skills... and Haibach? Dude, he isn't. I'm afraid they're going to paint him as an evil mastermind next ep (much like RJ and maybe Volker), and I think it's not gonna work. We'll see. I liked the promo for WADS, seems like there's a lot of suspense

Also, people are talking about the lack of J/L scenes, and I think it had to do with Bruno's vision. She is consciously pulling herself away from him (airstream roadtrip? Nooo "I'll take Kim" -> didn't even blink) because she knows she has to figure out who she is without him taking so much space in her life. I'll go as far as saying that I believe she'll be attracted to Marcus in the first place precisely because of that!

She's keeping her distance... until Bruno decides to put those two together (and he will, 'cause the way I see it it's the only way to save the show right now, it's the missing BANG! it needs to get the viewers attention)

  24. Agree on missing Jane and Lisbon. Kim - from liking her in her first episode (in spite of thinking she may be a potential love interest), to giving her a chance in the next few, then complete dislike, and now this week, I think I've landed on indifference. Just a part of the set, like furniture.
So far I think her best scenes have been with Lisbon. Lisbon having a female friend might offer a new dynamic (Hightower was a closer friend to Jane).
Fracking case was a little weak, but not a surprise since they were also focussing on the CBI stalker/killer. Based on pics and previews, I'm looking forward to the next few episodes!

  25. Overall enjoyable episode. I had a few hang ups with the recurring stalker story TOO played out and lagging I checked and it has lasted 4-5 episodes only.

I would like more episodes of Fischer/Jane working because it was my highlight. London Bridge song was imaginative. Abbott is cool. His face in the room with the atty. The Mentalist really did wonderful with the new cast.

Grouses about Lisbon yeeshh it would be a joke if you saw her as much as cbi she is not the boss. I know Tunney is relieved she said she works so much she can't plan her wedding :L sp-peeps here know she will be in a lot of scenes with Pikes on the first 2 of his episodes at end of March. The cast is bloated with OY, AR too, blaming Fischer is a scapegoat blunder. Mm-hm. She is compelling and capable I love strong women. All the secondary characters got developed after Jane so should Fischer, Abbott.

Bank Robbery Unit does not coordinate with main unit and Cho gets no hit for Hutton as informant when he ran his name wut. Haibch as a strong suspect by what means does he have the moolah, weapons. He had a plain old house and a puny man. The atty too he can afford is he robbing banks is he in cahoots with a high roller? I need Jane to poke holes.

  26. I know i'm a bit late to the party but unfortunately these last few episodes have moved the mentalist from must watch to watch whenever as far as i'm concerned.

The whole lack of Lisbon/Jane interaction is imo pathetic, we had them basically conspiring when Jane helped Lisbon get the Job and from that point on it's been a case of lets make sure these 2 have no screentime whatsoever.

The reboot at this point doesn't just seem like a reboot of the circumstances (cbi being fbi, new characters etc.) iit instead looks like they've completely rebooted the key relationships and Jane himself.

They're almost forcing Jane/FIsher down our throats at this point and the only way it makes sense is that it's a lead up to Jane realising how much he cares for Lisbon when he see's her with the new man she's supposed to be seeing (another brilliant idea from a clearly tired writing crew).

The worst things though is Jane seems closer to the new people than he is to people he's spent 10 years working with, people he trusted to help him take down the man who killed his family.

We get no Cho interaction, no Lisbon interaction and barely a nod when Rigsby and Van Pelt arrive, its galling to say the least.

But probably even worse than all that, we have a killer stalking the CBI team a team which includes Jane, we have Lisbon trying to find this person and we then have 2 people killed Ardiles and JJ and an attack on 2 others while they're with they're children and what's Jane's reactions, oh sorry this case bores me, nice to see you, bye.

That's just unbelievably stupid, it may have worked in season 1, when they were all new to each other but now.

I get he and Ardiles weren't the best of buddies, but he and JJ seemed a lot closer, he's always seemed close to Van Pelt, yet he shows absolutely no concern that JJ's dead or that someone tried to kill 2 people he's worked with for years, not to mention the fact that if they're targets then surely Lisbon is, but apparently he doesn't care there anymore either.

It's pathetically lazy writing imo, the only reason to seperate Jane and Lisbon is to force them together later and the only reason to keep Jane away from the case is because he'd solve it quickly/

As much as it pains me to say it, perhaps its best if the show isn't renewed, it's not the same mentalist anymore, the cleverness is gones and the character interactions aren't as good as they used to be.

If they wanted to reboot this much they should really just have killed everyone off and had Jane alone before he started to work with the fbi, for all the interest he's shown in his old team that's pretty much how it's playing out at the moment.

  27. I agree completely!
