  2. I think it was a good episode but I would enjoyed it more if Lisbon would have been more present. I always loved the dynamic between Jane and Lisbon. Their great chemistry is what makes the show perfect. I don't have anything against Fisher but watching Jane/Fisher is not as fun and satisfying as Jane/Lisbon. There is no "The Mentalist" without Jane and no "The Menatlist" without Lisbon.

I still like the episode but it will not be my favorite.

  3. Too excited for the new episode and I posted it in the wrong place
What a perfect episode. Jane SOLVING a crime and narrowing suspects with his skills! yes the Best I had a lot of problems the last few episodes and this is what was missing. Felt like a 'reawakening of what makes TM wonderful. The first episode since post RJ it went back to original theme what a relief.. But, in a more refreshing good way! The man who brought Jane to the community I really felt for him hopeless. A little bit like Jane lone wolf and he recognized it too. You can tell he really liked the people in Gentry. Loved the line about hammers, guns and freedom, justice a man has to find himself in the world. I did think Jane outing himself to them was a :o risk but it was nice he had a plan with agents not just winging in.
Love the shades of color they are putting on Kim. Gorgeous. A good development on her and Jane/Kim too. I had a feeling she did not have closest fam. Girl definitely was not wishing for fairyland like she said. Nice to see Jane apologize for once! How the heck did he do it? the guys got superfluous gifts but he got into who Kim is with her gift. I love Jane near her and him watching her at the market. I rememb Wiley's gift aaw I feel old lol. Dennis' reaction was such a 5 year old.
:( JJ. Did he have to die? Yeah "terrifying" but overdoing it not impressive and he dies so fast. So stalker is holed up in a warehouse in the dark? What.

  4. Liked the case in the episode but seriously missed theinteraction with Lisbon. Also would have liked to see more emphasis on the CBI killer storyline.

Abbot is ok, but stillll not liking Kim. Just comes off as a harsher, less likable version of Lisbon.

  5. I really did like the episode. It brought back a lot of things that just screamed Mentalist you know. I love how Jane is slowly trying to make everyone in Texas like them. How he gave them all their one things. Even the new boss was so excited about his transformer that he wanted ever since he was a kid. He is becoming likeable. Only thing i missed what the Jisbon. I'm not even talking about them being together as a couple i just mean their interaction period you know. i think with this whole CBI killer that some big time CBI team back together is coming up. I don't know why but i just see Cho, Rigsby, Van Pelt, and Jane all traveling in that airstream.

  6. Excellent episode. I love how Jane mixes with people and reads them. He leaves everyone else in the dust. Fischer is the only one who doesn't realize that you have to let Jane do it his way. I wonder who is killing the former CBI agents. I love a mystery.

  8. I agree, Raven. I thought she'd be there more in spite of the promos. Jane and Fischer honestly just don't have the same spark that Jane and Lisbon have-the show loses something without them as the core duo. There is nothing wrong at all with Fischer. She's fine. Let's keep her, Abbott and Wylie. But let's not take a winning team, and one of the show's greatest strengths, and toss it out the window for something less, shall we?

  9. I have to ask... Did Robin Tunney tick off a producer or something? Since the end of Red John, the show has spent more time focusing on Fischer than Lisbon. Now I quite like her, but I've spent the last bunch of years invested in Lisbon, not Fischer. If this is the final season, and at this point I hope it is, shouldn't the focus be on Jane and Lisbon, not Jane and his new sidekick? I didn't think that the end of Red John would be a jump the shark moment, but I guess I'm pretty done with this show.

  12. I don't enjoy this episode at all. Kind of stupid. I don't even find jane and cho funnies anymore

  13. Maybe it was their way of trying something fresh, but the Fischer aspect doesn't really work for me either.

  14. Just to clarify, Hill. There wasn't actually anyone in the warehouse. It was just a combination of traps set up to seem like someone was there.

Anyways, I agree with you on Kim. Not many people seem to appreciate her presence in the show, but in my opinion she adds a pretty good dynamic with Jane.

  15. Aw, poor Laroche! I'm probably going to get flack for not immediately loving the show as much as some of you are still, but...

I don't like the new FBI agents. I prefer that the old team be more present in each episode, rather than what looks like a slow "passing of the torch" to a new team, none of whom are interesting. I really thought I'd like the show more after the Red John storyline ended, but the storytelling and writing has been stale, with a somewhat uninspired reset, and unlikable, barely memorable new characters.

I've been trying to catch up on this season's episodes, after not watching Mentalist since Jane did the fakeout killing of the non-RedJohn guy. The first set of episodes this season, leading up to the Red John confrontation, were really good. I am among the (probably few) people who didn't like the Red John storyline that ran throughout most of the series. I thought that particular story was dragged on too long. I was actually looking forward to the end of the Red John stuff, and the beginning of the other types of episodes, which I liked more. It's so sad that the show is so disappointing so far. They could've made the show so much more interesting with the FBI angle, than what they've done so far.
