Ugly Betty vet Becki Newton is heading back to Fox as one of the stars of Weird Loners, a half-hour comedy pilot about four relationship-phobic people who are unexpectedly thrust into one another’s lives in a townhouse in Queens, NY, TVLine has learned.
Newton, who starred in last season’s short-lived Fox comedy The Goodwin Games, will play Caryn Goldfarb, a smart, attractive, high-strung, dental hygienist who is a pushover where handsome, charming men are concerned, but who always comes on too strong and fast for any relationship to last.

I really like her as an actress. Hope this works out for her!
ReplyDeleteI like Becki, but not interested in the show or rest of the cast.
ReplyDelete'Weird Loners' is too great of a series title to be wasted on yet another relationship comedy. Additionally, although I like Newton, she's getting a habit of attaching herself to some real go-nowhere projects.
ReplyDeleteRelationship comedies are the trend now for this pilot season.
ReplyDeleteTrend is an understatement. It would seem all four broadcast networks have a slew of them with pilot orders this year.
