After a long, long search and multiple rounds of testing, British actor Max Brown has landed the lead in Fox‘s 13-episode action-adventure drama series Hieroglyph, from 20th TV and Chernin Entertainment. Set in ancient Egypt, where fantasy and reality intertwined, it follows Ambrose (Brown), a notorious thief who is plucked from prison to serve the Pharoah (Reece Ritchie), navigating palace intrigue, seductive concubines, criminal underbellies and even a few divine sorcerers.

Loved him in BATB.
ReplyDeleteA white dude? Why? I'm a white dude, but wtf cast effing white people in an Egyptian-set series? I know there's some "controversy" about what races were prevalent in ancient Egypt but I still find this this slightly annoying, I was hoping for someone...more ethnic looking? But oh well, I'm still looking forward to this show a lot.
ReplyDeleteWell at least all the Beasties will watch it now
ReplyDeleteThe first two leads casted are POCs but it's just been white people since then....
