  5. Score one for Tatiana! Finally some recognition. And too boot a nod for Taylor and Orange is the new black. Both obsessions for me this year. Though I think Kelly or Julianna will win, its great to see these ladies on the list. Tatiana for the win!

Not overly bothered by the other categories, pretty much the same thing each year and each awards ceremony.

  6. Jim Parsons and Bryan Cranston!

  7. Yes for Tatiana and Taylor!!!!

  8. Had a feeling he'd get some sort of nomination for Red and well deserved!

  9. glad for Tatiana. :) She handled multiple roles masterfully. Pretty much the only show I watch though that is on that list.

  10. Tatiana Maslany..woohoo! Missing all the Newsroom and Game of Thrones love though.
Happy to see Kerry Washington too
The Blacklist and Brooklyn Nine Nine..my two new favorites, YES! James Spader is SO SO good!

  11. Veep is better than Modern family of Big Bang.

  12. I'm happy to finally see Tatiana Maslany on a nomination lists. Also excited about Kerry Washington & Hayden Panettiere, she doesn't get the recognition she deserves for her portrayal of Juliette Barnes.

  13. Yessssssss James Spaderrrrrrrrrrr!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Holy shit! Congratulations to both Kerry Washington AND James Spader!!!!!

  15. Excuse me? No way they are going to cancel it? You do realize that money is what pays for these shows, right, and not how many awards they are nominated for or even win? I wouldn't count all my bets on a renewal for that show just yet. Granted, the buzz is good, but ratings are still what will drive it into a renewal.

  16. Game of Thrones gets nominated for almost everything, I'm actually glad to see other shows get a chance for once.

  17. Ridiculous that Mayim Bialik isn't nominated for Comedy Actress, no one deserves it more than her.

    ReplyDelete
  18. haha joker, Big Bang is gonna have an easy win.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Josh Charles - The Good Wife!! Yay.

Very happy for HBC, she was superb as Elizabeth Taylor.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well done Tatiana and B99! And so happy The Good Wife made a resurgence with award love, particularly JOSH CHARLES GETTING A NOM! It was deserved but I didn't trust they'd give him one.

  21. why would Fox put it behind the biggest TV event of the year if they weren't planning on renewing it, why would they give it their best comedy lead-in.

    ReplyDelete
  22. If it turns out that by the end of the season the show still has not performed the way they wanted it to, neither the biggest TV event nor an award nomination is going to cause them to continue it. I would wait until we see the episode ratings for it after the Super Bowl depending on if it triumphs or flops in that very coveted timeslot.

  23. Wow! For once i am very happy with this list. Yay for Braking Bad, House of Cards and Masters of Sex nominations. Also very happy with Tatinana Maslany's very deserving nomination as well as Brooklyn Nine Nine. I am shocked that Spader was actually nominated as i thought for certain that The Blacklist would be just another network tv show that is ignored by the awards. The only thing that bothers me is that OITNB wasn't nominated..

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yeah I guess..im glad Good Wife is nominated too, but GOT deserves all the nominations and awards it gets..

    ReplyDelete
  25. So excited to see James Spader nominated here. The ratings have been fantastic but, because i love it, i thought for sure it would go unrecognized like all my other shows. Raymond Reddington for the win!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Monica Potter! it's about time!

    ReplyDelete
  27. To attract new viewers.
I am not saying that it won't be renewed, but the things you mentioned doesn't guarantee a renewal.

    ReplyDelete
  28. That doesn't mean that it's the better series though.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Which is actually not a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  30. True, but in this case, it is.
But that's just my opinion, we can disagree on it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. JAMES SPADER!! OH GOD THANK YOU! That surely appeased my anxieties and fears of early cancellations.. (I don't trust NBC, no.) I hope he wins.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I am so so happy for Tatiana Maslany AND James Spader! YAY!

    ReplyDelete
  33. The reign of premium cable is slowly coming to a close and gently returning to network tv but stream shows will soon dominate, I can feel it

    ReplyDelete
  34. Where's Anna Gunn for Drama Actress?

    ReplyDelete
  35. I´m thrilled to see Masters of Sex and Breaking Bad nominated.
But most off all I hope The Hunt (Jagten) with Mads Mikkelsen wins best foreign film.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yay for James Spader, Tatiana Maslany, Brooklyn 99, Parks and Rec, Arrested Development and more!

    ReplyDelete
  37. A little surprised the two actresses from The White Queen got nominated honestly.
That series was horrible for the most part, but I guess they ere the two best aspects of the series.....

Nice to see Behind the Candelabra rack up nominations!
Think it will continue HBO's dominance in the category?

Very excited to see Dancing on the Edge get some love!
I may not be able to pronounce his name, but I do love his work! XD
    Go Chwetel Ejiofor!

Love that Spader got a nod as well!
    He is amazing as Reddington!

  38. ETA:
I would have liked to see Justified and Game of Thrones get some nominations.
I'm ok Homeland being shut out for the most part since I feel it got way too much respect its first two seasons, but Danes is still amazing as Carrie.

  41. Finally for Tatiana Maslany!! She deserves it so much.

Also happy for Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Masters of Sex (!!!), James Spader (such a nice surprise!), Michael Sheen and Amy Poehler!

The only snubs I have are Hannibal and Lizzy Caplan for Masters of Sex.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Pretty interesting nominations this year, showing a lot more diversity in terms of shows than the Emmys are likely to.

The supporting actor/actress category is ridiculous though, how they lump all three categories in together, it makes no sense!

    ReplyDelete
  43. NellasP,The Blacklist was already renewed for a second season,so you don't have to worry about an early or late cancellation..

    ReplyDelete
  44. I know about S2, believe me, I was very happy when they said it and even more happy that the network didn't wait to see how it'll do without The Voice, I just don't trust NBC, or more exactly I don't trust Nielsen families. I have Awake's wound still fresh in my heart T.T

    ReplyDelete
  45. It was a shame that Awake was cancelled but really it couldn't have gone on much longer, and Awake didn't pull in half the numbers that The Blacklist is..

  46. Ceci Bibbó Pollio12 December 2013 at 18:27

And again, no Michelle Fairley, pfff

    ReplyDelete
  47. Another nomination for Sofia Vergara, really? Ridiculous, she's the worst actress on Modern Family.

Anyway, I am just thrilled for James Spader, Tatiana Maslany, Monica Potter, Josh Charles, Michael J. Fox, Masters of Sex and Amy Poehler.

    ReplyDelete
  48. 3 nominations for The Good Wife - and well deserved at that!!! (^.^) I'm surprised Josh Charles is considered a "supporting" actor though, I would've thought he's a lead.
    Anyway, that's wonderful news! :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm glad Jessica Lange received nominations for AHS: Coven, but what about Angela Basset and Kathy Bates!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Some of the nominations are laughable but holy damn at last Tatiana Maslany!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Game of Thrones has received many nominations and awards each year it has been on honestly. The big awards shows tend to nominate the technical production side more though and those categories do not get as much press. over its 3 years so far it has 92 award nominations and 45 wins.

It also receives massive critical acclaim and is named in many Top 10 lists of the year...Just this award season so far it is on the best lists of...
