Supernatural - Season 9 - Felicia Day interview

Zap2it: The last time we saw Charlie Bradbury was in "Pac-Man Fever," when she was reading to her mother in the hospital for one last time. What has she been up to since then?

Felicia Day
: Since the last time we saw her I think she's grown a lot. Obviously that was a really traumatic situation for her but in a strange way it was closure. With her mom passing away, saying goodbye to her, there is a sense of moving on. Also, she revealed her past to Sam and Dean in a way that she's never revealed to anyone else, so there is a sense of belonging and comfort with the guys. The new direction that Charlie is on is becoming a hunter. We haven't seen her but she's definitely been active and trying to grow what she knows about the lore and the world and exploring doing things on her own. That's where Charlie's at and she is thrilled to be able to help the guys out with this thing that they find at the bunker.

So what can you tell us about why the brothers call on Charlie for help in "Slumber Party?"

The bunker is relatively new to the guys and it's such an amazing place. There's a number of rooms and you could find pretty much anything there. They find this computer that they don't really know how to crack or operate so they call on Charlie since she's obviously really good at this stuff. That's the essence of it and through that exploration they uncover Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz.

Twist?!?!?! O.o Why do I have the feeling that Charlie might leave for Oz??With Dorothy?? :S

  3. I can't wait for the scene in which Sam realizes he can't crack the computer and has to admit it to Dean who he _knows_ is going to give him a hard time about it... and then Dean giving him a hard time over it... LOL!
Cannot wait to have Charlie back!!! But the twist better NOT be that she goes off to Oz with Dorothy! Maybe it will simply be that she and Dorothy team up to hunt together!

Going by the trailer, that's what I'm thinking it's going to happen.

I'll miss her with the boys so much if it happens. But she'll get a happy ending... So I'm torn if I like the idea or not...

  5. That's a distinct possibility, you both, though if Charlie goes to Oz with Dorothy this would sort of fly in the face of what Carver/Singer said about recurring guest cast getting more story focus than in prior years (to give J2 more time off). If they send Charlie to Oz I would think they have to find a way to bring her back at least a few times in S9/10.

  6. Oh for the time that Sam had mad computer skillz on his own lol!
I would prefer this scenario - Hunter!Dorothy is out of her own time, and Charlie for all her strengths is still a newbie hunter. So they team up and don't go back to Oz - maybe the 'doorway to Oz' closes - but as Elena and Miss Supernatural observed this clip doesn't look like the doorway closes.

  7. Why does it have to be a one way trip? Plenty of old folklore have people/fairy crossing back and forth between the fey world and the human world.

  8. Yup...that's exactly what I think if the show wants FD to still recur from time to time. Charlie can be the "Ash" of the fairy realms, opening portals to all sorts of different realms. Assuming Charlie does go with Dorothy (back to "Oz" )and she appeared to want to go with the beautiful Fairy in LATRG.
