My problem with this tv show is that my mind doesnt stop comparing it with Desperate Housewives, cuz I know Marc Cherry can do it better, so I keep hoping it surprises me as DH did in his heyday. But no, this series is Devious Maids, a little more latin novel, a little more bizarre and dark comedy and less serious drama. So within those characteristics, this was a very good ending for a regular series. They failed to work on the plot of each character and focused entirely on Marisol, besides the fact that the cliffhanger was pretty basic, but beyond that. A good end!
How could Philippe being revealed as the killer be satisfying if it was predictable as all hell? I knew the writers would never have the guts to have the murderer be a maid (because the main cast shall remain untouchable) and used a minor character who popped up midway through the season and was expendable. They thought "No one cares about him, so we might as well make him the culprit and kill him in the season finale, and pretend this plot never happened in the first place. If one of the main characters did it, it would be shocking and bear consequences, so we can't allow that because it would a pain in the ass storyline-wise! Let's take the easy route!". MARC CHERRY YOU SUCK IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE! -.-
I agree: the cliffhanger was so lame. We know Rosie is gonna be fine, because Spence could tell the ICE that it was Peri who took Miguel to America... by the way, she's one of the leads, she'll be back in the US soil in no time! I wish something gorier had happened, like Peri losing it and having Miguel kidnapped or slaughtered or something. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX, WRITERS (and the same goes with the predictable and telegraphed resolution of the murder mystery). Overall, I feel cheated and disappointed :(
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Wow Pretty Amazing Season Finale
