Announcing the new SpoilerTV Banner for 2013/14

The voting is now over and a clear winner emerged very early on in the voting.

We're pleased to announce that our new Official SpoilerTV Banner is from the talented Supra.



Here is what it looks like.



You may remember that Supra also recently won our Banner Competition for our new FanShowcase site.

I'd like to thank everyone who submitted such great banners, there are a lot of terrific ones out there.

Over the next few hrs our various sites will be updated with the new artwork, namely our

G+ Page
Facebook Page
Tumblr Page
Twitter Page
and Forum

And remember, if you don't like the new Banner, then you can use any banner you like using our Banner Selector, which is available from the All Features or Help menu at the top of the page.

    I love it! This is the one I voted for. Most of my favourite shows are featured on there, so I can't complain. :D Dexter, Homeland, House, Breaking Bad, Person Of Interest (twice!), The Walking Dead, Fringe, Game Of Thrones, The Americans... I love that you even put Homer Simpson in there too.

    I would have liked to see a little more Once Upon a Time (everything is all spaced too close together and too hard to identify what is what in my personal opinion) but I guess it's ok. I did like some of the other ones to choose from better. But I guess I'll get used to this.

    Techinically speaking, there was still hope for BoP when this banner was created, and the actors featured in the banner from those cancelled shows could become part of new shows by the end of next year, so..

    So many great banners in this competition and because it was so close last time I really wasn't certain of anything on this occasion. Thanks for all the comments. I really did appreciate your kind words, support and of course your votes. Yes it's just a banner but it's nice to get positive feedback regarding the design, apologies if your favourite show isn't there but there is limited space and I really just selected lots of random shows consisting of current productions, personal favourites and popular shows from previous years - I still watch old shows on DVD or repeats on TV for example. I wonder if anyone can name every show featured? Anyway, thanks again to all those involved, the SpoilerTV team and especially to anyone who used this opportunity to develop their creative design skills for this competition, well done everyone.

    For those who did like this banner, I've mentioned in another post there are other versions which you may like to load with the Banner Selector:

    I can see your point, there is a lot of blue, however this was intentional. I didn't want to do a standard colour banner for a number of reasons. All of the photographs in this banner are taken in different lighting conditions and locations with varying shadows and that means that everyone's skin would appear to be a slightly different colour. On my previous banner http://i.imgur.com/tiQgM9t.jpg it took me a long time to alter and match the skin tones of each character and on this occasion I personally didn't have so much time. Besides I was always planning to work on a different design this time and I wanted the creative challenge of limiting myself to 2 or 3 colours but I can understand that some people would dislike the limited colour range. The blue hue obviously matches the existing colour scheme of the SpoilerTV website but I did other versions that you or others may prefer to use these via the sites's Banner Selector.     Yeah, not diggin' the new banner, it's a little dull. Too much blue & grey, some color would have been nice, also no Psych!?, that's just not right. Why are House & Fringe on there when they aren't even on the air any more? I am not however saying that it isn't well made because it is and it's obvious that a lot of hours went in to it so kudos on a good job.

    Regarding the shows featured in the banner, most are random shows that I came across while researching ideas and I was obviously limited in terms of what I could include so there was always going to be something missing. I also thought it would be a good idea to have some popular shows from previous years as well as current productions - all within the rules of the competition of course. I wanted my banner to convey a more simple concept of what I think SpoilerTV represents - an online community discussing great shows of the past, present and future. Anyway thanks for your comment.

    @04ikhan Not a show that the designer of the winning entry picked.

    There are 1000's of TV shows and it's not going to include every tv show ever made.

    If you don't like it, design one yourself and use that one.

    Thanks for the explanation. I personally didn't mind the slightly dif. skin tons in your fanshowcase banner, actually I love that banner. But I didn't like these other two versions either. I guess I prefer seing the real color of the pictures. But I can see that you put much effort in these. So for that I congratulate you.

    You are welcome, sorry if i sounded a little harsh, i am a graphic designer so i really can appreciate just how many hours of work you put in to it and now that you have explained your concept i actually get it, i think i was just initially overwhelmed by the blue and grey but now it's actually starting to grow on me, it is a very good banner:)
