Xena Warrior Princess has been away from our screen for nearly 15 years now, but, much as with her '90s butt-kicking-female competition, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, her fans are still out there in droves. Really, with the advent of Netflix Instant, it's likely she's got more fans now than ever.

ReplyDeleteI think Lucy spends some gym time anyway, but MMA stuff won't help. Xena was a lot of wire-fu. Being thrown into flips and the like. I guess they could lean on the stunt people more than they did.

ReplyDeleteI would love to see Xena come back, that show was my jam. However, IF it does come back, I am prepared to see the changes that would need to be worked through in order for it to work.

ReplyDeletethat's the most exciting new i've heard today obsessed with that show but they might screw it up if they it bring it back differently aside from better special effects I wouldn't want anything changed.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna say no because of how iconic the show is.... I think a reboot would kill it's posterity. That, and because without Kevin... *takes a deep breath to step self from sobbing* .... it just wouldn't be the same.

Xena, the early seasons, was one of my fave shows! I wonder in what form they plan to bring it back? Could be interesting, but could also be horrible. Will have to wait for details. Thanks for sharing the news!

ReplyDeleteeven tho kevin smith is no longer with us the idea of haveing xena back is beyond amazeing, she was one of the best most empowering women of them all, every one i knew looked upto her and so did i, she is my hero even to this day, this movie would mean the world to so many fans who yes did not like how xena ended i understand that yes she died but shes been braught back before right? theres just gotta be a way to see the amazeing world of xena in a new way! while sticking to old roots, it is a shame that kevin smith is no longer here i agree no other person could beat him as ares, but with a great sacrifice an new beggining can start all over again, the fans have spoken "we demand a xena movie" now we leave it to the cast who braught the show to life and the producers and everyone appart of it!
