Is The Replicator dead? When there's no body...
Erica Messer: I wanted to leave that as our option creatively. My guess is he's gone. But I specifically didn't want to do that in case in Season 9 we say, "Well, you know..." [Laughs] I wanted to leave that up in the air until we decide in the writers' room next month. Even all the actors said, "We don't see his body." By keeping that open-ended, it will keep a beat in the season premiere where we can show photos from the scene or say he's dead. It'll be a nice starting point for us.
Strauss is obviously gone.
Erica Messer: Yeah, I had a hard time with that. I've known Jayne for so long and I had to really separate knowing Jayne and the creative place we were with Strauss. It's hard for the team to have an enemy like The Replicator, and for him to not do any damage just didn't seem right. Strauss seemed like the one who had to go, which makes me sad, but it made sense, story-wise. She was our sacrificial lamb. She was introduced as an enemy of the team and by this year she was so on our side.

Suggested storyline season 9: Garcia mysteriously leaves for one or 2 ep's. (only Hotch knows why) and this creates anxiety in the team. She is trying to "create balance in her life", and attempts to deal with a long over-due issue with her biological father that she scarely remembers. Morgan is particularly unhappy since she did not confide in him and seeks her out. She returns still the compassionate tenderhearted woman, but focussed and clearly self-directed and strong. (In the process she is able to let go of clutter).
ReplyDeleteDon't really care how they do it, but somehow I want an episode that FINALLY reveals Spencer's Asperger's. They've been dancing around the subject since season 1, and Blake showed up and was the only one with the courage to suggest to Reid that he might be autistic, now I just want it to be officially confirmed somehow. They could use his diagnosis for some interesting Reid-centric episodes later in the season.
ReplyDeleteI'd love something to develop between Garcia and Morgan!!!!!!!!!! Also ideas for season 9 are bring some people back into it especially the man at the end of season 6 ep22 with the photos he was creepy and I want to see him get caught.
ReplyDeleteNo way Garcia and Morgan should never ever go there it would wreck a beautiful friendship... The banter between those to is epic, I think a relationship would ruin it..
