  1. Talk about foreshadowing! This episode was trully wonderfull and sets ground for the finale! All that talk about Kate being Pre-Law and Martha's concerns about Rick's real commitment to the relationship (ring included) will be key in the season finale!

  2. Wooo it's like I've been hit by a wall with this ending =(
Just want to say that Mr Fantastic is an ass who I wanted to punch during the all episode
Castle, come on , open your eyes, and say what you feel !!!
Martha = Best Caskett shipper, I LOVE HER
Anyway, I don't have much to say right now, except, Marlowe, I trust you, but don't make us tracking you down this summer please XD
And, I voted great, I can't put amazing when I feel like this, but Castle is still the best show ever #Always <3

  3. A clueless Castle is not funny, but it did show how immature he seems to be in relationships. Kate may need more, so Castle should start to MANUP.

  4. Awful. I don't even care anymore about what Stana said about the fans being pretty happy with what we'd see the rest of the season. It's really sad, but I am done with this show. I have not invested 4 years of my life on something I thought was great to have it ruined like this. I am out.

  5. Overreaction don't you think? This problem is exactly in line with their personalities.

  6. Was it just me, or did Rick look nervous after the brief discussion he and Martha had about commitment and Beckett not having a ring?

  7. I'm pretty sure I'm free to have an opinion. The time of censorship ended 39 years ago next Thursday.

  8. This is awesome, okay. But still Castle really have to wake up. Yes, I think Andrew already drop some code when Martha talk about ring, and Beckett asking about where are they going. And really Castle you don't understand what's that mean but to the bedroom? And we're gonna see more Caskett through the finale I guess..

  9. Liked it alot, especially just a chance to see sexy, slinky Kate at the beginning with a goofy smile..... obviously this is a setup ep that will give the couple a chance to define the current state of their relationship... I'm gonna sit back and enjoy the ride

  10. Indeed, and I'm able to have an opinion about your opinion. If you're going to play the opinion card, at least remember that it goes both ways.

  11. I totally agree. I think that tonight was a great wakeup call for him, though I don't expect there to be immediate results. It just goes to show that they could be great together, but he has some growing up to do. She's not the kind of girl who's looking for a fling, and while it doesn't mean he needs to propose immediately, he DOES need to prove to her that he's serious. "Man up" is the perfect way to put it haha

  12. Dislike the ending though! A big boulder just dropped between them.

  13. I also voted great for the same reason: I loved the ep but I'm not sure I like the angst. I'm sure every couple goes through this after a year of dating (I have zero experience in the relationship department so I'm not sure) but for them I don't want to see it yet. Maybe season 7?

  14. I know! I didn't like the ending too...It made my heart sink a little... :(

  15. Wow... some overreaction over here, I still can't believe how people can fall so easily into the 'Oh-my-God-he's-going-to-break-them-up' kind of thing. The season finale is coming up, we need some angst and pain before the summer break. Before it aired, there was all that speculation about Beckett kissing another guy and now that we know that she pushed him away, it's not enough. What was she supposed to do ?

The problems Castle and Beckett are facing in this episode are totally in character and let's be honest, it really felt like Castle had been taking her for granted in the last couple of episodes : how Beckett seemed to always be the one initiating kisses, being affectionate and stuff, the 'bored' look Castle had on his face whenever Beckett was cuddling (especially in 5.19); I knew it had to lead somewhere. Now they're gonna talk about it and everything will be fine ! As for Castle answering 'to the bedroom', of course he knows Kate's not talking about that. But the man has to face some serious insecurities. Like Aydrian said, he's already got two failed marriage on his plate, cut him some slack.

Oh and come on, you can't tell me that the foreshadowing wasn't OBVIOUS in tonight's episode. Martha talking about rings and commitment ? What else do you need ?

Anyway, it was a much-needed episode and I loved it ! Can't wait to be next week though, 'Still' looks awesome.

  16. I feel the exact same way as you do right now. It feels like my heart has sank into my stomach because of the ending...And yeah, I voted great too because, like you, I can't put awesome while feeling this way.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I agree. But their relationship is too early to take that step with commitment. I think this will be explored in the next season.

    ReplyDelete
  18. No, he was really nervous in that scene. I think he wants to make the move, but he still feels that Beckett might shy away from that proposal.

    ReplyDelete
  19. This wasn't the best episode this season. I think with this episode being aired out of order probably had something do with it.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Have to say.. I'm an avid gamer but that controller would've hit the floor in a second! Rick needs a good slap at times.

  21. I voted awesome because I'm a masochist. It hurt a little bit but I enjoy the angst.

  22. I voted great too, because I think it´s a good setup to the finale; and I wanted to punch someone but not Mr Fantastic:) Yes, he was just charming his way to get what he wanted, but I would punch Castle for taking Kate for granted, and I would punch Kate for geting charmed so easily and quickly...I mean, she saw the kiss coming and closed her eyes waiting for it. But yeah, I think it´s on caracter with them, not talking about the issues.
On another note, I really think this episode should have been after "Still", for the seing up thing...

  23. Loved the angst!! In Marlowe with trust!

  24. Okay, my problem with this episode is how OUT of character it felt for Castle. Come on, before they got together, he was over the moon for Kate. Those feelings don't just go away. I don't think he SHOULD be taking her for granted, given how he was always the major proponent of their relationship. In these last few episodes, I feel like the relationship has felt pretty one-sided with Kate's affections and Castle's lack of response, but I blame that on bad characterization or perhaps poor execution on Nathan's part before I blame Castle. It's nice to see Beckett opening up, but if anything, I think she should be the one who's more closed off rather than what they're trying to do with Castle. I used to see the show so much through his perspective, and I feel like I'm losing that.

I've enjoyed the season up until this point, but this makes me look back and think a little.

And need I remind anyone that Still was supposed to air before The Squab and the Quail? So we go from an episode where they talk about who fell for whom first to this? I weep for continuity.
I don't know, I'm just so done. Not with this show, but with...my life.

  25. The episode was Awesome...!!!!

Always everyone forget that in order to perceive what is going on we must to read between the lines with these characters.
Castle has to face some serious insecurities, he's already got two failed marriage on his plate, and the lovely Martha us always with a touch of wisdom, talking about rings and commitment ?
As for Castle answering 'to the bedroom', of course he knows Kate's not talking about that, a relationship is based on many things and one of them is extremely important communication and of course they will discussed the issue.
This is just the prelude within the parameters of the conclusion for the season finale.

Lest not give free rein to our imagination because is a quite fearless and can play us a trick.

Happy week to everyone... !!!! Please, Please .... Monday Arrive as soon as possible we are desperate for you... :-)

  26. I think this is exactly what we need before the finale. Caskett is great, but they both have baggage. Castle has two failed marriage and a lot of trust issue, especially regarding his love relationships, while Beckett now is all bubbly and happy but seriously people, did you forget how skeptical she was of this relationship, at the beginning of this very season, when Castle had to continously reassure her that they could do it, that they could be together? If the finale is really important from an emotional point of view, than we need a little bit of angst first, because let's face it, what we really like about the Caskett relationship is how much people can relate to all the difficulties and obstacles they face, it woudn't be plausible if it always was a bed of roses, would it?

  27. OMG, javier looks like Ronaldo when he had longer hair..OMG...

    ReplyDelete
  28. How could anyone forget how Beckett was? Should say how they both were and is!

    ReplyDelete
  29. But don't forget we spent the first half,no more than that with Kate not being sure of Castle. Relationships are fluid, sure we would always like to be on the same page, but in reality we never really are, not for long anyway...Just remember this isn't reality,if you want to blame someone maybe it should be the writers. They are the ones who are dictating what is going on and how they want these characters played out.

How ever they leave us,whether in doubt or sad it won't last long and you know it will change.Don't give up just because of these characters. If your done with the show, well, its only a show but life..don't ever give up on that.

  30. I enjoy watching Castle, I really do, but last nights episode I didn't like all that much. Two people, who have been through as much as they have, who claim to love each other as much as they claim, would not treat each other that way. What ever happened to trust and respect in a relationship? They made Castle look childish last night...didn't like that at all.

    ReplyDelete
  31. That's exactly whom I am blaming. lol Bad characterization, writers' fault. I'm certainly not done with the show yet and also not giving up on my life, don't worry. Castle's just killing me right now.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Exactly, that's why I don't understand all the freaking out.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, i didn't like a lot of what and how the writers wrote for the Beckett and Castle characters.I would have rather have had another year of them not being a couple,it would have been more interesting, for me anyway.Yes,life is good! :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. I know right! The one thing i hope the writers do next season is if they are going to be a couple they need to let them have other problems. They can't keep using this 'I don't know' bit every 3rd or 4th episode,it's to disruptive and it lessons the relationship they have right now.How are they suppose to move forward if every few episodes they take that step backwards...If the writers can't do that let them just have passionate sex when they want to be together and let them find their way.....

    ReplyDelete
  35. You do not get it. The fans are in full scale revolt. Your comments are not going to solve anything. The fans are upset and they have a right to be. There is now a contrived episode where Rick was a clueless joe! Really? The great Richard Castle clueless? No way this is way too OOC he is normally the one who knows what Kate wants before she does. But now the stupid writers has made him a clueless fool! That is why the fans are revolting! Not Kate running. That is to be expected!

    ReplyDelete
  36. It has caused an uproar in the Fandom. People are really upset at this episode. Showing Rick being clueless is a sacrilege! It is so jarring! He never been this clueless before when dealing with Kate. He was the one who can anticipate what she wants before she wants it. Now they place him as a clueless Fool? No Way Stupid Stupid Writers!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I found myself wanting Beckett with Vaughn, I think Casckett needs some serious rekindling

    ReplyDelete
  38. totally agree, especially on the passionate sex...kidding (maybe not so much) anyway, we have to trust Marlowe and his amazing writng skills, and let's freak out when there's a good cause to do it :=)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Actually, I was "mad" at Kate for letting herself be so easily charmed by someone who was just trying a one time thing...I mean, the guy asks if she is in a relationship, she says yes, and he goes to kiss her? Call that a respectful person!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yes but you can't denny he was really charming and he showed up at a moment where Castle was taking her for granted, and even when he stopped doing that he didn't give her space to discuss the future

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh, Gosh I just loved the bittersweet ending. It's setting the mood perfectly for 'Still'. We couldn't even feel the episodes were swapped. Now, let the feels begin...
