  3. Aaaaand just like that it's a classic case of "the events of the last episode, heavy as they may be, never seem to have transpired." I know the show has to move on, but I'm so frustrated there doesn't seem to be any fallout. I suppose there could be more to it than we saw, but let's face it - it's not the first time Glee has pushed a story line under the rug.

  4. I know. I loved how One Tree Hill did it. The shooting affected everybody for the next couple fo episodes.

Really? Seems like Mr Schue is affected. And most of the happy stuff was with the NY guys who weren't involved. I get the impression that there will be fallout but that they're gonna try to come through it, in typical Glee fashion, together, and through song, and if you don't like that why do you watch Glee? Cause fyi that's pretty much the structure of the show

  7. I guess my problem is with what "typical Glee fashion" means when in regard to a seriously delicate subject like last night's. They've brushed these things aside too often, choosing to tackle a serious topic and then forget about it. Like with Quinn's accident - I was expecting serious repercussions when the show returned, but it was pretty much "Don't text and drive, but everything's great! Let's move on!" I don't know that they're stretching a message far enough, which is something that they could easily do. And so many parts of the episode were just really trite, and didn't seem to belong - but I suppose I can't fault them that. The shooting didn't happen until mid episode, so until then things were business as usual.

That being said, I am getting a bit cynical about the show, so I rewatched the episode. I can't deny that the acting was fantastic, especially in regard to Brittany, Sam, Kitty, and Marley. The entire middle of the episode was fantastic, and felt very real. I guess I just would have liked to see more of that carry over. If there has been an obvious time jump, I'm not going to complain - time does at least begin to heal wounds - but if they come back and only like a week has passed, I'm going to be super frustrated.

And in regard to Mr. Schue, I guess I just didn't notice him or how he seemed to be affected in the promo. I don't really care for his character anymore, so it probably escaped my notice. I did appreciate how he kept everyone (or tried to, at least) calm and reasonably comforted. I haven't enjoyed him that much in a long time.
