  1. I know a lot of people hate this show but I don't get it. This is the one of the best kinds of shows that sadly are too rare nowadays... fun action/adventure shows with an awesome conspiracy. Looking forward to second episode.

  2. I just started getting into it when my friend called me so i'll have to watch it from the beginning. It looks good, what i saw of it....

  3. I don't get all the flak this show is having, it was an enjoyable pilot if you ask me.

  4. well, for me... I love this genre/concept (Da Vinci Code et al) and this could have promise, but the writing/dialogue were clunky and the performances weren't great.. I'll give it one more ep and if there isn't a marked improvement, I'm gonna cut this one free

  7. It reminds me of Spanish television series El Internado :D And I like it :D

  8. I had plans so I didn't get a chance to watch it yet, but I'm planning on getting to it today. From what I saw it reminded me a little bit of Alias, Milo Rambaldi clocks and all.

  9. I don't think that they actually showed or even gave a glimpse of what it is that they are looking for. Assuming it was what was underneath the cathedral, it looked large and made me think of the "Ark of the Covenant", ala "Raiders of the Lost Ark" or some other Pandora's Box kind of item....

  10. I was reading while watching the show on my DVR. It was going along okay...and then we got to the submarine and I got really interested. I really hope they were smart enough to do this as a single season close ended series. It's the kind of story that will die if they try to stretch it out to 2, 3, 4 seasons. It's a really genre show so I wasn't stunned by the numbers they reported over night. I'm really curious about the +7s though.

  11. I don't think they said what specifically is going to destroy the world but my impression is that they're looking for the 12 new apostles, and our hero is one of them. Though that doesn't explain why Vincent had to get to the plane. But they got me interested enough to wait and see.

  12. For me the vast majority of pilots are clunky, have a weak story, etc. (I hated Fringe's pilot and wound up loving the series.) Rarely do I watch a pilot and think it's awesome. So, I usually judge pilots more on character and potential than its quality. Here, I liked the secondary characters and actors and they left me with some interesting story questions. If it doesn't keep me interested it might lose me (which is what happened with Last Resort. They had me so very hooked at the end of the pilot and by episode three it fell into the 'I'll save it on my DVR and watch it someday.)

  13. Thank you and yes, that's exactly what I thought. It reminded me of either pandora's box or the indiana jones raiders of the lost ark! I can't wait to see the next episodes but considering the ratings I doubt we're gonna get a full season, let's just hope that they will end it probably and that the mystery will be resolved!

  14. You think he's one of them because he looked like the frozen dead guy form the plain?

  15. It's has the makings of a really good adventure/mystery series. Sort of reminds me of the Robert Langdon books.

If the writing had been a little better (some parts were a little cliche, like the old man's intentionally ambiguous foreshadowing monologue in the end), and they had applied some common sense (like his wife calling him and asking him to call the cops when she herself could have done it and help would have arrived sooner), and there was a little more attention to detail (they are at the arctic and they don't seem even a little bit cold), it could have just been the best pilot of this television season.

Nonetheless, it still seems like a really strong pilot episode. Sets up a massive story. Can't wait to see where it goes. Hope they don't cancel it.

  16. On the plus side, networks seems to be willing to give more time to new shows...especially given that they're starting to see what the DVR numbers bring. My concern is that they're trying to run this as a 5 season show, which I think would be a mistake. For me this type of story needs to start with a finite number of episodes so that every episode is constantly building to an exciting end. Having to vamp an episode because you have have to make a certain order count or because you don't know how many episodes you have left kills the story momentum and loses audience.

  17. Oh yes the thing where they are in the Arctic Circle and the lady is all pretty and not appropriately dressed took me out of the show but that was my biggest complaint.

  18. It's actually a big moment in the story and I think the production team has done a lazy job of giving the audience an idea of where the characters are, visually. If it was not important to them they should have not set that scene at the arctic, they could have put it anywhere else in the world. They chose the arctic, they have the responsibility to show it - to sell the idea visually. It's a minute detail, but one that can't be unseen once you are aware of it. These things are the difference between an average/good show and a brilliant show.

  19. This can't be a 5 season show, I see it as a mini series of 12 episodes at most. I can't see the writers being capable of dragging the intrigue doe 100 episodes, people already found it boring after only one episode...I just hope we get closure.

  20. That guy looked pretty darn good for a 93 year old.

  21. I love this genre as well. i'm a big fan of conspiracy theories and even more when the church is involved! Things went down pretty fast but I like it. I don't think it's gonna last long though but it can make a good short series.
Question : what are they even looking for? I might have missed a few thing but that thing is supposed to destroy man kind but did we actually see it?

  22. Yes, my suspicion is that either by being a descendent of the guy in the plane, or a reincarnation...maybe even a clone...that when they find the other eleven apostles he'll discover that he is the twelfth.

  23. Yes, that makes sense. My guess is he's a clone .
This show has so much potential and I'm scared that they're gonna cancel it without a proper ending.
