HOLY MOTHER OF DAM! HOLY CRAP! HOLY KATHERINE!!!! that was freaking awesome. Thats the best part about julie is that when it comes to katherine suprises she can never dissapoint! I totally had nothing of katherine in my head and so when elena said that im like omg katherine! wtf she's the one who threw the axe i bet saving jeremy she's been following them this whole time! Did she take the cure tho i didnt see? And dam she killed jeremy and woke SIlus. silus is back! bonnie and jeremy r dead, tyler is gone and dam! Katherine! what the hell! Great episode! best katherine, no best twist of all the seasons!

    ReplyDelete
  2. Yes she took the cure.

It was a good twist but there's so many questions like how she found out about the cure since it was a 'secret' amongst the gang in Mystic Falls and how she found the island. Hopefully this gets addressed in the following episodes. I need answers!

  3. Ok I loved this episode, but omg, I'm literally tearing right now, Tears are coming down my cheek....I'll give a better comment, later, much later.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Katherine??? Jer died??? wow, such a great, great, great episode!!! And Kath took the cure!! Do not forget it.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I am personally blaming all the stupid stupid fans out there crying and whining for Katherine to come back. She's never been that interesting and this is what happens! Darn it all the heck.

    whats ur problem with katherine?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Well she does look like Elena. Maybe Kathrine got intel that way.

    ReplyDelete
  8. HOLY MOTHER F-ing GOD! Those feelings are overflowing!! I basically have nothing to say besides curse words! Julie, warned us about the last 10 minutes, I think she meant that last 2 minutes!! HOLY....... Jeremy :(

    ReplyDelete
  9. SHE JUST KILLED JEREMY FOR NO GOOD REASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. for raising Silas. who can bringing back people from the dead.

    ReplyDelete
  11. You don't know that. You don't know that they would be able to get Silas to do that. And all accounts say the death is supposed to stick.

    ReplyDelete
  12. It's probably a lie that Silas used to make people do everything for releasing him.

    ReplyDelete
  13. A main cast member needed to die and stay dead. Of all the death on this show, they've mostly kept it to tertiary guest characters.

I like Jeremy, but I hope he stays dead.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I want the synopsis of 4x16 now! :D

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think she wants the cure herself or because Klaus... to make him vulnerable.

    ReplyDelete
  16. this show is hilarious

    ReplyDelete
  17. alaric was a main cast member

    ReplyDelete
  18. Jeremy is wearing his ring, so not dead?? This was an awesome ep and I need to watch it again with CC on to make sure I did not miss anything.

    ReplyDelete
  19. He had his ring on, so how could he be dead?

    ReplyDelete
  20. He's a hunter now...magical...ring won't work.

    ReplyDelete
  21. the ring only protects humans. jeremy was a hunter one of the five which makes him supernatural

    ReplyDelete
  22. Well... one of the kids then. They've all escaped it too many times.

The adult cast on this show was always, at best, supporting.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ring only works on humans, Jeremy is an hunter so he is supernatural now.

    ReplyDelete
  24. and the tattoo gone away... but he is dead, I think so.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I gotta say I was startin to feel disappointed with the show, but this episode felt like old TVD times! : D

    ReplyDelete
  26. I voted for awful, because that's what this ep was-awful and a total snooze fest. The first 40 minutes that is.Because then the best thing ever happened!YES YES YES YES MY GIRL IS BACK YES YES YES YES!!Vaughn was the second best character in this ep and I really enjoyed Damon's jokes but all I can think about right now is YES YES YES YES KATHERINE IS BACK YES YES YES YES!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think what he does is he "brings them back" like he did with Shane's wife or Bonnie's grams. An illusion he holds over people for control. For example, if he were to confront Klaus he may bring "Kol" back. But it would only be for control. That's probably how he "brings them back to life". But you're probably right! It is a "lie" and it was to get released.

    ReplyDelete
  28. yeah but he became a vampire by Alice to hunt the originals so thats why the ring didn't bring him back either

    ReplyDelete
  29. This season as a whole has been awful but this episode i gotta admit i really liked

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well compared to the dull episode last week, this episode sure was not dull. So much happened. First off let's start off with Damon being tortured AGAIN, I mean really I know he's suppose to be the bad guy and all but I mean enough with the Damon torture. And am I the only one who is wondering how and where the hell this other hunter came from out of the blue onto this island? Second, the whole Caroline, Tyler, Klaus scene with the sword was predictable & the fact that Klaus would be the only one to translate it. I have to say that as much as they are still trying to make Klaus look like the bad guy, I just do not buy it anymore cause he's been helping them lately. Finding out that there was only one dose of the cure was predictable.Rebekah snapping Stefan's neck was not surprising. Tyler and Caroline saying goodbye again was heartbreaking I cried for them. I hope he comes back and they stay together. Now let's get to the best parts of the show, the Damon vs. other hunter was cool. Then comes Rebekah she get shot with stakes that explode and Stefan and Elena come in to save Damon, that was all good. Then we get to the hunter vs Jeremy and Bonnie, I have to say that Jeremy trying to fight was kind of sexy. Bonnie getting stabbed I did not like that part I hope she does not die. Then comes in Elena to save Jeremy, she is trying to be nice and Jeremy is trying to save Bonnie, then low and behold..... ITS KATHERINE!!!!! She feeds Jeremy to this Silas person and Silas snaps Jeremy's neck and now he is presumably dead as Bonnie is bleeding there watching unable to doing anything witchy. I mean talk about a surprise ending. That was great. oh yeah and I forgot about the whole Klaus being able to leave since Bonnie was stabbed and not able to hold on to the spell. I have seen for a while that there was going to be a Caroline and Klaus relationship and now that Tyler is gone you know what the writers are going to do. Next week I hope there are some explanations about some of the things that we saw tonight that were not explained.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I can not believe they killed Jeremy, but al least he is free now to play Four

    ReplyDelete
  32. Shit on a stick! That was like 8 different kinds of fucking awesomeness.
Wondering ... if Katherine took the cure can Klaus now use her to make hybrids?

    ReplyDelete
  33. disqus_bgQV4oujDM15 February 2013 at 06:13

Hey does this mean that Silias will be tormented by the Hunters, since he killed him? The hunters main purpose was to kill Silias an immortal that is why they also hunted vampires unbeknownst to them that is so that could complete their map quest and find Silias so that he could drink the cure and be stabbed. Since he is immortal it makes sense that he will be tormented by Jeremy, SO we may still get to see Jeremy. And I am thinking Katherine wants the cure so that she can force it Klaus.

    ReplyDelete
  34. What the hell that means?
Katherine has always been selfish. She cares about herself and she is the most consistent character in the show.

She wants the cure only for Klaus. She will have her freedom and she deserves it.

    Go Katherine. Go Katherine.

PS: Great ep. Finally a good ep that I haven't seen it since season 2.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Katherine, I knew it I knew I knew it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Just: Oh my God. Slowly development, but the end made it up for it.
Just one dose? Well, makes sense. The witch made it for Silas, to make him mortal again. That was long before the vamps. And here is again my suggestion to contact the witch and just ask her about the cure.
Like Klaus really cared about Beccas happiness. He just wanted her to take the only dose, so no one could use the cure against him. He showed kindness and mercy? When? When he killed Carol? Or when he bit Caroline? In what bizarre dimension he ever showed kindness or mercy?
Well, I wonder if Becca will still be so obsessed with everyone betraying her. Now that she betrayed them all herself.
I hope Tyler returns. I like him. He came a long way. Became strong and self-confident.
Katerina. Fucking bitch!!! What is she doing here? How did she even know about it? I thought she would be on the other side of the world. I doubt she wants the cure for herself. For Klaus? And how exactly is she planning on giving it to him? Inviting him for a drink and ask nicely if he drinks something she mixed up for him?
Jeremy. If he dies Elena will lose it. There were speculations about her turning off her humanity for a long time. If Jeremy dies, the chances are good she'll do it. I just hope she first goes after Katerina.
Did Jeremy had the ring? Cause there is something I wonder: Maybe, now, that the hunters mark is gone, the hunters magic is also gone. That means, he's human again. And the ring should bring him back after he was killed by a supernatural creature. But I wouldn’t dare to hope. TVD doesn't do happy endings.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yeah, it was probably Katerina that killed that guy in the previous ep. And this guy today.
And she took the cure. For whom? Herself? I doubt it. Klaus? And how is she planning on giving it to him?
I just think she made a big mistake killing Jeremy. No force on earth is stopping Elena now from hunting her down. And kill her.

    ReplyDelete
  38. You forget that JP is not known for logics. So I doubt we will found out, how Katerina found out about the cure. Or how she found the island. Or the cave.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yeah, but for that she would have had to be in MF, right? And she may be a bitch, but
Katerina is not stupid enough to be on the same continent as Klaus.

    ReplyDelete
  40. For Kluas, I think. Just how exactly is she planning on giving it to him? Inviting him for a drink and ask nicely if he drinks something she mixed up for him?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Good question. I hope so.
But if Silas can call upon illusions and implant them into peoples head, he has to have some magical powers (and here is again JP lack of logic and her habit of changing rules as she pleases. Witches lose their powers, when they turn, right? Silas is obviously a vampire. So, how can he have magic?), so maybe he can fight it.
Or, maybe the hunters curse was broken, along with the hunters magic, when the tattoo disappeared. Hopefully that means, that Jer can be brought back by the ring. If he wore it.
I'm just not sure how Katerina will make Klaus to take the cure. Any idea?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yeah, but maybe the magic is broken. Katerina was stronger than Jeremy. The tattoo was gone. Maybe he is human.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Bring them back? You still believe that? It was an illusion. A hallucination. Silas used it to manipulate people. It was perfectly clear last week when Shane remembered seeing his wife.

    ReplyDelete
  44. And you think Katerina, one of the most selfish and psychotic characters on the show, would take the cure herself? I think, she wanted it for Klaus.
But it would be perfect (for me) if Klaus gave it to her. He would be gone and leave the gang alone, and Katerina would get what she deserves. Becoming Klaus walking blood bag.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I would love that, it could be fun to watch Katherine as human and Elena as vampire. But after what she did to Jeremy, she wouldn´t be alive too long.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Jeremy was already a hunter when elena stapped a knife in his neck because she thought it was connor .. and he did come back!

    ReplyDelete
  47. No, you're not the only one wondering about this hunter. He had real cool weapons.
Here is one more thing I wonder. Where did KLaus learned Aramaic? And why? The language was dead before he was born, wasn't it?
Oh, please, please, don't fall for it. Klaus was never a good guy and he never will be. He helped
them? And he did it cause he is such a good and selfless guy? Wrong!!! Maybe he was lucky that there was just one dose and the vamps turned against each other. But I have no doubt, that he had a plan to prevent them to get the cure. Or at least to prevent them to give it to him. Maybe he was the one finding this hunter and Katerina, sending them after the others. Always have a backup plan!
To tell you the truth, I don't care if Bonnie dies or not. I don't like her very much. She's too easy to manipulate, she's naïve and sometimes stupid. She's lying to her friends, trusts strangers more than the people she knows her entire life and rather cooperates with the enemy than her friends. No, I'm no fan of hers.
I hope Jeremy survives. I'm afraid what Elena will do if he doesn't come back.
Klaus and Caroline? If JP hooks them up, I'll probably stop watching. It's just ridiculous. And Caroline is such a hypocrite. And besides. Klaus is never gonna change. Not even with Carlin in his bed.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The ring only works on humans, killed by something supernatural. As long as Jeremy was a hunter, I think he was supernatural as well, and the ring didn't work.
But I hope, with the spell Bonnie did, and the mark disappearing, the magic was broken. So, if he was human again, the ring should be able to bring him back. If, of course, he was wearing it.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Couldn't he be human again? With the mark gone, the magic was maybe broken.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I think that was before he became "activated" though. Sucks so bad, I knew the cure would be stupid

    ReplyDelete
  51. jeremy was already a hunter when elena thought he was connor and stapped him with a knife in the neck.. and he came back!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. i'm pretty sure i saw his ring in the promo when elena held him

    ReplyDelete
  53. Maybe. I didn't see it.
But the question is, if the ring works. If Jeremy was human. I hope so. It's the only thing stopping me from crying.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Agree. If it would be my brother the bitch killed, I would stop at nothing to get her and
kill her. And my brother and I aren't even as close as Elena and Jeremy. So yes, I think Elena will go after Katerina. You think the bitch has a chance against a pissed off Elena?

    ReplyDelete
  55. I don´t know, but with Elena´s luck so far I would say yes :D

    ReplyDelete
  56. Good point. I totally forgot about that. But you never know. Like with the sirebond...it doesn´t make sense until they came with episode 7, where it was too much obvious. They can make new excuses for his death.

    ReplyDelete
  57. If Elena kills Katerina it would have nothing to do with luck. But with her anger and rage that gives her straight. The two most dangerous enemies you can have is a mother, defending her child, or someone who has nothing to loose. If Jeremy dies, Elena has nothing else to loose. She turned for him. Not Stefan or Damon, but for Jer.

    ReplyDelete
  58. As I said it's an illusion he holds over people. I don't believe he can raise the dead literally. It's not a literal resurrection but as long as the people he controls with it believe it then it's real enough to them.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I know she would have the strength to do it, but I meant that with her luck someone stops her or something else happen. I think writers won´t kill Katherine, not so soon at least. But otherwise Katherine wouldn´t have a chance against pissed Elena :D

    ReplyDelete
  60. I don't know...Given Kathrine has fooled everyone many times before when she was human I wouldn't be surprised if she is back in MF sooner or later. If Elena turns off her humanity switch it might be even harder to tell the two apart for people too. Or she could have lured someone like Matt out and compelled him to tell him everything that's been happening. It's always iffy when people can be compelled or not. One could think she did that before the whole water supply thing. I don't know. Kathrine is a tricky bitch. And wasn't Klaus out of country earlier this season? She could have gone then. Or she could have spoken to Shane. Or ran in to cult members. Tons of possibilities. I suppose she didn't have to be in MF exactly. And this is just things I'm thinking up. I'm sure someone who has been around for 500 years can think of a craftier strategy than me to get info.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Great episode, really was not expecting Katherine, so loved that but now since she has it, what about Silas is he just like rooming the streets now? Also this thought has been in my mind since they brought up the whole cure thing: these vampires are thousands of years old stuck in one age, so if they go back to being human are they just automatically the age they were stuck in or are they dust?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I was wondering about Silas too. And what is he going to look like, I don´t think he could run across the town with his ,,frozen statue" look.

    ReplyDelete
  63. No they won't kill Katerina. JP likes her too much. So do some of the fans.
But that doesn't mean she won't try. Damon can easily stop her. He just has to order her not to go after Katerina (sire bond is a bitch). That is why I would first break his neck, then get rid of my phone, then I would go after her.

Well, Katerina has 500 years on her side, which means, she is faster and stronger than Elena. On the other side, Elena has nothing to lose. Which makes her more dangerous and unpredictable.

    ReplyDelete
  64. She's a plot device. Going head to head with Klaus is totally against her character. If she wanted him dead that much she wouldn't have gotten in the way so many times of the boys trying to kill him. So too is raising a new powerful bad guy who may or may not end the world. Killing Jeremy takes away her mildly ambiguous, selfish personality who may or may not help the core team out--that was totally out of left field. She could have fed Silas Bonnie, but no, she was operating in plot device mode. The only thing Katherine had going for her was she was a slightly more interesting version of Elena and let's face it the acting switchover has never been that great, but all that gets wiped away because she fraking killed Jeremy. Making her now the evilest b*tch on the show. And she should die screaming.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Of course she would have returned sooner or later. But she knows that Klaus has some unfinished business with her. It would be stupid to come back. So, she probably wasn't in MF pretending to be Elena. She probably also didn't call Jer or Stefan and asked "Hey, what's going on in MF?" Maybe she had a spy. She's not only a master of manipulation, she can also compel people. But who? The only persons that knew enough were vampires or immune to compulsion. And none of them would willingly cooperate with her. Could it be Klaus? Maybe Katerina was his backup plan to prevent them to get the cure or at least prevent them to giving it to him.

Doesn't Matt have vervain? Hanging around vampires all day, he should.
I'm too afraid she will switch off her humanity. I sure as hell wouldn't want messing around her if she does. She wiped out an entire bloodline of vampires for Jeremy and the cure. And by the time she had her humanity. What will she be capable off if she turns it off?

Yes, she's a tricky bitch. But if it comes to a fight between Katerina and Elena, my money is on Elena. No matter that Katerina is 500 years old. Elena has nothing to lose and that makes her dangerous and unpredictable.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I think, after a good "meal" he'll look human again. Except his clothes. And he shouldn't know the time he is in, not even the language. But this is a show, so he probably does know how to drive, use computers and phones, so he probably knows how to speak their language. Remember Stargate. 98% of the planets they visited spoke English.

    ReplyDelete
  67. It would be fun to watch them fight, maybe it will come to that, who knows :D

    ReplyDelete
  68. That always made me laugh, even the most craziest creaturest spoke English :D I think he will definitely speak English too, it´s universal language after all :D

    ReplyDelete
  69. Rebekah was in a situation where she would have lost. Everyone would have given the cure to Elena. And she wants it more than Elena, she just gave herself a head start, it wasn't a good thing to do, but the show isn't about good people. What she did to Stefan was a knock off and she knew it wouldn't last.

But even if the mark disappeared he still fought off like a pro Vaughn. It is confusing.

    Poor Elena though.

    ReplyDelete
  70. It is kinda predictable how a group of main characters knowing the risks but ignoring them completely go for the cure they know little about. And obviously people they love are going to help them. Again, ignoring the competition and the risk. We all know, the main characters like Damon, Stefan and Elena won't be killed, at least not for long, so death falls on the people they love. Elena's many friend's relatives have died already. She and Jeremy nearly died, is the cure really worth it?

Moral of the TV show: don't anger Klaus, think twice before following Elena's plans, think twice before plunging into finding the too-good-to-be-true cure with murderous and psychotic vampires and hunters, accept reality and enjoy immortality.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Yeah, I thought Silas is a vampire... vampires can make illusions... remember that Katherine-Stefan scene in Season 2... Silas just needed their blood.

    ReplyDelete
  72. It was soooo good! The show is definitely back on track now and with the whole let's kill klaus gone next season with the originals it should get even better. I loved this one. Finally.... KATHERINE! It has been so long! And holy crap, did they kill Jeremy? I don't believe so, but they have hyped a death so much. Was this it? I loved all the dynamics in tonight's episode. The only thing I didn't get was why Caroline didn't simply run away with Tyler. Sure, she has her mother in town, but I don't think that would be enough to stop her. They could have ran away together IMO. The new hunter is very cool, way better addition than Shane, I think he is lame. Very curious about Syllas! Way to go TVD, and welcome back my beloved Katherine! Also, Queen Rebekah forever!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Silas was just an ordinary witch and he became immortal, he's not a vampire.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Not necessarily. If Elena would say "No, give it to Rebekah", it would be between Becca and Stefan to decide. And if Stefan would want it for himself, at least no one could blame Elena for it. Damon already said, he doesn't want Elena to be human. Jeremy is dead. Who else would push Elena?
Yeah, well at least now Becca can't be so self-righteous about everybody betraying her. Cause now it was her to betray them all.
She broke Stefans neck to knock him out for a while. But when Elena daggered her, it was
murder? You really like Becca, do you? Well, there is still hope. They just have to get to Katerina and get the cure back. Maybe Becca is the lucky one to get it. Although if it would be me to decide, I would give it to Katerina and deliver her to Klaus with a ribbon around her lovely neck. Or I would give it to Klaus.
Of course he fought like a pro. He was trained. But Katerina was stronger than him and he
also couldn't free himself from Silas (who was still weak at that moment). And I just said, that I hope the magic was broken and he was a human at that time. That hope is the one thing keeping me from crying.
Yeah, when she stabbed him with a knife. I was thinking about that too. But by the time he
came back he hadn't killed a vampire yet. So, if it is like the transition (a person has to drink to complete it and become a fool vampire), he maybe wasn't a hunter yet, just a potential, and for that reason not supernatural but still human. It's the only explanation I came up with. Maybe you got some better idea.
Poor Elena? Because of Jeremy? Yeah, he was the last member of her family. That is why I'm afraid, she'll turn off her humanity.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Universal language? LOL Yeah, only on US TV :)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Since he has been tricking people with their dead loved ones and speaking English through them and at least having some idea of backstory so he could manipulate them, I'm going with he will be up-to-date through whatever means he got that information (either he can talk to the dead or he can read minds or something, he can manifest ghosts that understand the world, so somehow he understands the world).

    ReplyDelete
  77. other she want to give the cure to Klaus again her freedom

    ReplyDelete
  78. Well, it all just depends. I mean Jeremy hung out with vampires all day before he was a hunter and still got compelled. My first thought was just a normal spy, but I would have thought she'd have picked someone closer to the group who wouldn't be suspicious if he got sensitive information. We will have to see. I can't imagine either of these are TOO far off.

But yeah. I imagine it's going to be going down between those two. Might be like Caroline vs Damon when he tried to kill her dad. If they kill off Kathrine is another story though.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I know Katherine doesn't really like the originals, Klaus more specifically, but I'm praying for some Rebekah/Katherine team work. Oh my life, would be perfect. But yeah! This has been my favourite episode so far actually :)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Do I think Kat,a 500-year-old vampire has a chance against Elena a 2-week-old one?Umm,yeah,I think she does!

    ReplyDelete
  81. A spy is possible. But who? The person who knew details were vampires or immune, (like Bonnie or Jer). Matt is a possibility if he doesn't have vervain. Stupid question: why not? A bracelet like Jeremy used to have. He doesn't have to drink it, in case Elena gets thirsty again.
The people who are easy to compel didn't knew anything. Or at least no details.
I hope we will know how it came that far.
A fight between Elena and Katerina like in the books would be the perfect end for the
    season.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Elena lost her brother, but I wouldn't say she has nothing left to lose. She has people who would die for her, people she conciders family.Kat has nothing to lose, not Elena.

    ReplyDelete
  83. As an offer you mean? I give you the cure so you can destroy it or give it to whoever you
like, if you leave me alone?
Not her style. She would probably give him a fake and try to somehow force the real one
    on him. That's her style.

    ReplyDelete
  84. If he's not a vampire, how was he frozen in the cave? Didn't it remind you on Mikael? And he needed blood to be revived. And remember the legend. He wanted to share his
immortality with another woman. It all points to vampire. But I guess, we'll see next week. He could still be something else. But it all looks like vampire to me.
If you got any another theory, tell me. I'm very interested. I was also thinking some kind
of demon. They are mostly immortal. But they can't share immortality. And we haven't touched that theme yet. They probably don't exist in the TVD universe.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Thanks. I totally forgot that Katerina was messing with Stefans head. But wasn't he asleep in both cases? And we never saw her perform that trick on humans.
Still, I too think he's a vampire. Although his powers seems stronger than what Katerina
    did.
But if vamps can do that kind of tricks, why we never saw Damon, Klaus or Becca do it?

    ReplyDelete
  86. You got a point. And again I have to wonder, what he actually is.
I always believed he's a vampire. And seeing him like that (like Mikael), being revived by blood only confirmed it. But vamps don't have magic powers. Calling up the illusions, or hallucinations or whatever requires mindreading and implanting images. Vamps usually don't have that kind of powers. They also can't talk to ghosts.
But you do have a point, that all the "ghosts" were speaking their normal language, so, if Silas caused these illusions or whatever, how did he know? This kind of things is driving me crazy. I just hope, we get some answers soon.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Elena has nothing else to lose. That is what makes her dangerous and unpredictable. Katerina is not a fighting type. She manipulates others to do her dirty work while she runs and hides. While Elena fights originals and kills hunters.

    ReplyDelete
  88. True, Elena has her friends and she loves them. But she never wanted to be a vampire and yet she completed the transition. And she didn't do it for Stefan or Caroline. I think, she did it for Jeremy. It's just my theory and I could be wrong. But I think, that the reason she did it was her brother. So he wouldn't lose her too. Remember, that she said to Damon, Jeremy was the one think keeping her together? She also faced Connor (was it Connor? The hunter?) for Jeremy.
Katerina has herself. The one thing she cares about. She just wants to keep on living. No
matter how many people have to die for it, as long as she can still walk the earth, she cares for no one and nothing. While I think, that Elena doesn't care if she lives or dies now, that Jeremy is gone. Elena was ready several times in the past to sacrifice herself for others. Why shouldn't she now not be read to die if she can take Katerina with her?

    ReplyDelete
  89. OOO I don't think the two of them would play nice together at all.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I don't disagree with you that Elena turned for Jeremy but she never thought what would happen to him when she agreed to get killed in s2 or every time she said ''you're gonna have to kill me'' in s3.And honestly,Elena needs to suck it up.She never wanted to be a vampire, well guess what;most people that were turned didn't want to either or had had no idea that vamps existed before they became one themselves. We've all been through terrible times (I don't see being a vamp terrible but that's how Elena sees it) and we had to deal with it-it's called growing up.

    ReplyDelete
  91. If Elena would say no to the cure Damon would support that. Stefan wouldn't try to
persuade her. It would be up to Stefan and Becca.
I think, that maybe Becca told Stefan cause she had the feeling she has to explain why she did it (or going to do it).
I would give it to Klaus. I would just love to see him suffer as human. I would pay for
it. Or maybe Katerina. After all she did, she would deserve to be Klaus blood bag. Silas? We know nothing about him. Oh, I absolutely agree that he has to be stopped and that the fact of how many sacrifices he required isn't comforting. But I think, we should wait, till we know more. Maybe there is another way to kill him. And we can give the cure to someone else.
I liked Jeremy at the beginning too. I just didn't like that he was always high. I miss
Anna. True, it was never explained why he survived it, since the ring doesn't work on supernaturals. It's just my theory that he wasn't a full hunter yet. And I just hope that the hunters magic was broken and he can come back.
Elena without humanity? Not someone I'd like to have as an enemy. She killed hunters and hunted originals, helped wipe out an entire line of vampires, and all that with her humanity. What will she be capable of without it?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Exactly. Katerina is running and hiding. It's her way of survival. She's just holding on
    to her life.
Elena lost o much, that she has nothing else to lose. She has nothing to live for. Katerina
will get scared and make a run for it. Elena won't. That is why she won't stop.
Well, at the beginning the sire bond had some blackouts. So we can't be sure, why she
killed Connor. Cause Damon told her to? Or was it cause he almost killed Jeremy and tried to stake her? Guess we'll never know.

    ReplyDelete
  93. She agreed on Klaus ritual in S2, cause she knew that, if she tries to run and hide, only more people will die. And when she delivered herself to Klaus, she didn't know that he had Jenna. She believed, Jenna and Jeremy would be safe and could have a normal life. Now it's different. She knows that she is all Jeremy has left, as he is all she has left.
She never said "'you're gonna have to kill me". Okay, she threatened Alaric with it, maybe even Stefan or Klaus, but she never meant it. Did she? I never had the feeling she meant it. I had the feeling she fought for her life.
Suck it up? That's exactly what I said. She had her problems. Who wouldn't? But now she adjusted. She even seems to have fun with her powers. It is terrible to be a vampire. I mean, you have no control over your extreme feelings, no control over your urges and the bloodlust, …

    ReplyDelete
  94. I see your point but I doubt Kat will go to MF.I know ppl are sure that Kat wants the cure for Klaus but I don't see it that way for the simple reason I don't believe the cure is indeed a cure. And even if it is,we don't know how it will affect Klaus who's a vamp and a werewolf. The cure was made for Silas an immortal. That doesn't necessarily mean that he's a vampire. As usual,Katherine knows more than most people and she wouldn't show her face if she hadn't thought her plan through, whatever that plan is.
Elena has every right to go against Katherine, but she has other problems, too.Aside from dealing with her brother's death, she has to face Klaus who is definitely going to make an appearance if not to kill her,to gloat. And Silas is free and who knows what his plan is.

    ReplyDelete
  95. He could have been turned, no matter what he was. And the originals also were turned by a spell. He wanted to share his immortality. As vampire he could have turn her.
He could have some special powers before he turned and kept them. Like Klaus. With those powers he could be even more dangerous than Klaus.
Necromancer? Well I still don't believe a shit of this bring back the dead. It was just an
illusion, a hallucination, to get some naïve idiot to bring him back. If you would be trapped like that for 1000 or 2000 years, wouldn't you say everything, promise everything to get free? And promise that was just the easiest way. Money or power won't work for everyone. Bringing back the dead would. There is not one person who hasn't lost a loved person.
There is this thing about immortality. It comes with a price. Vampires. I doubt that the
witch, that created the spell meant to create monsters, created them like they are. You know. The sun, vervain, the blood, … I think, it was probably meant to make someone immortal. But all the side effects are just the price they have to pay for it. Didn't this ancestor of Bonnies warned Ester? Something about spirits being angry and balance.

  96. See,that's the thing:I know why Elena agreed to the ritual, but I don't understand the logic behind it.She just hoped Klaus would appreciate the 'honor' of her not running and he wouldn't hurt her family or friends?A)he's a psycho and B)he was going to use Tyler and Caroline in the first place,so mission failed. And trusting Elijah as a savior, the guy who needed her to die was not smart.
When you learn there's an ancient murder machine after you, either you run and hide or you fight back.Elena after her talk with Katherine, she gave up.She just waited for Klaus to show up and kill her.And trusting a potion and not being bummed about the chances that it may not work? What person let alone a 17-year-old thinks like that?Elena was suicidal, she just didn't do the deed herself,so yeah,I believe that she meant it all those times she said 'kill me kill me''.
In my opinion, eternal beauty, youth, immortality beats extreme feelings and the bloodlust assuming you are beautiful and young when you turn. After all, humans get hungry, too.
Q:do you read any tvd recaps?

    ReplyDelete
  97. That's why it would be so fun!

    ReplyDelete
  98. True. Katerina always seems to know more than everyone else. How comes?
Well, one ore reason to hate Klaus.
Whatever Silas is planning, I doubt it's good.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Well, they had a deal. She probably believed, he would honor it. Don't blame her. She was young and naïve. By the time she didn't know how he really is.
I'm just pissed at Elijah, cause he failed Elena. Twice. He promised her to kill Klaus.
That was one of the reasons she agreed to the deal. He didn’t kill him. He promised Elena to keep her family safe. Where was he when Klaus got Jenna?
Well, she probably was suicidal. But I think, she just didn't want her family to get killed. She knew what happened to the Petrovas. And Elijah told her how far Klaus would go to get her. So, she maybe was a bit suicidal in S2, but not in S3. But again, it's just my opinion. I never get the feeling she really wanted to die in S3.
No, no recaps. Only what's on spoiler. I actually never went looking for. You got any other sites with news? Something you recommend?

  100. Great episode, just a quick question. If they take the cure, does time catch up to them? Will they just turn into a pile of dust? Or will they stay that age and carry on growing old?

    ReplyDelete
  101. No,for spoilers I prefer this site.I was just asking, because,I haven't seen your username in the comment section of any recap.

  102. Well, it was much better than last week, but if "Tiresome" were one of the options that's I would pick. The deus ex machina of having Katherine suddenly pop up didn't work for me. Too contrived for me. I found the twist more than surprising. The whole 'lets write Tyler out' again…gag. Klaus is being a 3 year old again. Boring! And really REALLY? Jeremy becomes a vampire hunter and takes off the ring? Personally, I'd take my insanity chances over all the possibilities for death involved in being a brand new vampire hunter who knows that Klaus is sending as many vampires after him as possible. And I did not buy, for one second, that Jeremy wouldn't realize that wasn't his sister the SECOND "Elena" put the cure over Bonnie's survival.

I've been frustrated with this show before but I haven't been this close to quitting.

    ReplyDelete
  103. They can get in your head/dreams. Damon gave Rose the happy day before she "died", Damon/Sage tricked Rebekah, etc. I don't think they can/have been shown to be able to give visions to awake people, although they could compel you to think you saw/did/experience something--it's just never been presented visually.

    ReplyDelete
  104. You're right. But in all cases they had contact or were close. Like inches apart. But Silas? It has probably something to do with the blood.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I hate the idea that Klaus thinks that Tyler owes him his life for turning the hybrids against him, given that Klaus ruined their lives by making them hybrids in the first place and also killed Tyler's mom. If Caroline and Klaus get together, I think I'll puke. I don't see what Plec sees in the Klaus character. Also, let's hope Jeremy and Bonnie are still alive. I'm also confused about whether the ring can still work with Jeremy. Didn't Jeremy have his ring when Kol had compelled Damon to kill him?

I'm thinking that Katherine wants the cure for Klaus.....although if Klaus became human and then died a human death....what would that do to all the vampires that he sired?

    ReplyDelete
  106. Honey, you can't use normal standards on Klaus. I absolutely agree with you, but Klaus is a psycho. He believes, he did the hybrids a favor by turning them and that they should be grateful. And Carol is in his eyes a deserved punishment for betrayal. He is crazy.
JP has a thing for the originals. Don't ask me why. They are interesting characters and performed by great actors. But I'm saying for a long time, that their time is over. They came, did what they had to and now they should leave. She's forcing them on the show and it's ruining it.
And as for Klaus and Caroline … I'll probably stop watching, if they hook up. He is a total psycho. Why should he deserve happiness more than let's say Damon or Jeremy. And I hate what JP did with Caroline. She was a great character and I liked her. But now she turned into a total hypocrite. How can she fuck Klaus after all he did to her and her friends, and still be pissed at Damon for what he did to her in S1? And she's giving Elena a hard time over her feelings for Damon, while she's on a date with the devil.
The thing with Jer and the ring is complicated. When Elena stabbed him, the ring brought him back. But I think, that’s because he wasn't a full hunter yet, just a potential. When he killed his first vamp, he became a hunter and supernatural. I think. And as for now, we can just hope that, when Bonnie did the Spell and the mark disappeared, the hunters magic was broken and he became human again.
The question, what Katerina wants with the cure will have to wait. I doubt that she wants itfor herself. Maybe for Klaus, but I have no idea how she plans on giving it to him. The question, how she knew about that, how she came to the island and found the cave is more interesting now.
I don't bother with the question, what will happen to Klaus and the vamps in his line if he takes the cure. They plan a spin off, so he'll stay as he is now. It is an interesting question, but not important. It won't happen. But we can speculate, if you like.

  107. I'm not talking about bigger loss or who was hurting. I was just clarifying motivations. And the show is the one who said that the gratefulness was the origin of the sire bond. That's why removing the reason to be indented to him is how they broke it.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Just a note about the hybrids...he didn't ruin their lives making them hybrids. They are so grateful for his turning them that they are sired to him. And Klaus didn't kill them (and Tyler's mom) for turning, but for plotting to kill him with Tyler as the ring leader.

    ReplyDelete
  109. I don't think it was their choice to be sired to Klaus, and had the hybrids really been grateful for being confined to a life of servitude, they probably wouldn't have plotted to kill Klaus. Even if I had a problem with them plotting to kill Klaus (which I don't), I'd say that Tyler losing his mom was a bigger loss than Klaus losing a bunch of hybrids who he didn't actually care about, and was more than ready to sacrifice whenever it seemed fit.
