As we know, Clémence Poesy and Stephen Dillane will star in Le Tunnel / The Tunnel as Élise Wasserman (Calais police) and Karl Roebuck (Folkestone police), investing the murder of a politician found in the Chunnel.

Alongside them in recurring roles, there will be :

From left to right : Jeanne Balibar, Cédric Vieira, Sigrid Bouaziz, Mathieu Carrière and Thibault de Montalembert.

- Jeanne Balibar will play Charlotte Joubert, whose husband's troubles lead her into Élise & Karl's path.
- Mathieu Carrière will play Charlotte's husband, Alain.
- Thibault de Montalembert will play the Head of the Calais police.
- No word yet on Cédric Vieira and Sigrid Bouaziz's roles.

From left to right : Joseph Mawle (GoT), Tom Bateman, Angel Coulby (Merlin), Tobi Bakare and Jack Lowden.

- Joseph Mawle will play social worker, Stephen Beaumont.
- Tom Bateman will play journalist, Danny Hillier, who unintentionally becomes caught in the serial killer's web.
- Angel Coulby will play Karl's wife, Laura Roebuck.
- Tobi Bakare will play Chuks Akinade, junior counter-part to Karl.
- Jack Lowden will play Karl's son, Adam Roebuck.

Furthermore, episode 1.02 will feature Keeley Hawes (Upstairs Downstairs) as Suze Harcourt, a drug-addicted care worker to Harriet, interpreted by Bafta-winning actress Liz Smith (The Royle Family).

The 10-episode season is directed by Dominik Moll (Harry, he's here to help, Lemming & The Monk). Shooting starts Monday, it'll last 5 months. A fall première date is eyed for Canal+, it'll probably be the same for Sky Atlantic.

  1. I swear!

IF 2013 is anything like 2012 then I will just expect Stephen Dillane and Stephen Graham to be in every UK series I think!

Not that is such a bad thing in any way since both actors are capable of transforming into their roles.....

  2. I don´t know anything about this show. Is it suppose to be like Broen, the danish series? It sounds a lot like it.

  3. Yes it is the English/ French version of The Bridge/ Bron/ Broen.....
Not to be confused with the US/ Mexican version.... So odd to have 2 coming out the same year.

  4. There is a US/Mexican version aswell?! This is all news to me. I hope they both turn out good. Did the casting for the US version start yet?

  5. I know some of the casting, but I have not seen a nice full cast break down like this one Bunky did.

Diane Kruger and Ted Levine will be the 2 leads and Annabeth Gish was also cast. It will be on FX I know, but I honestly am not sure of the official title even. I think I read it could be called "The Border"..... I do not recall where I read that though.

The little bit I know does sound good though, Kruger, Levine and FX are three strong points!

  6. Thanks, Darque. Sounds like good casting and Fx is an extra bonus.

  7. Ted Levine will be playing Kruger's boss (he actually looks quite a bit like the original actor too). Demian Bichir will be playing the second lead of the Mexican detective. Bichir was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor last year and was Nancy's drug kingpin boyfriend on "Weeds".

  8. Thanks for the info!

Like I said I had read bits and pieces bit nothing outside of those actors being cast, not their roles. So it's nice to get some clarification...
