For episode 2.13, the guest role of Arlo is being cast. He's about 40 years old, tall and fat, and also wise, spiritual, and fatherly.
My guess as to his identity?: With the recent casting notice for "Helena," and based on a wikipedia article I found for Old King Cole that mentions a daughter named Helen or Helena, I think Arlo could be the "merry old soul" of the nursery rhyme.

Hmm, now they are going for nursery rhymes. I actually like the idea, because it broadens the spectrum of base-characters to those about whom we don't know much, so they won't be needing to constantly make the characters different than we expect (because if one knows nothing about a character besides some lyrics, there is not much to expect).
ReplyDeleteI'm not very sure about using saints to base characters on. Not because of religious reasons (I'm not catholic), but just because it seems a bit weird.
Nursery rhymes? Meh. I can't think of any that seem very interesting so I'm hoping this theory isn't correct.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Couldn't have said it better myself, although Saints and Theological figures are something I think gets referenced in TV and Film more than not. (:
ReplyDeleteWhats next? Humpty Dumpty?
