Thanks to FanGirl and Ilenya for the heads up.
TVLine has confirmed that Laurie is set to direct this season’s 19th episode, which is slated to air on April 30.
There’s no word on the plot or title of the episode, but if it’s half as ambitious as his inaugural helming effort — the Season 6 episode he presided over, “Lockdown,” involved the doctors essentially being imprisoned in Princeton-Plainsboro while authorities searched for a missing infant — he’s got his work cut out for him.

Sounds interesting, nothing like being stuck with House...
ReplyDeleteUhm, that's been done before on this show, or am I mistaken?
ReplyDeleteLockdown was only a halfway good episode. I hope they give him something better to direct this time.
ReplyDeleteI thought Lockdown was a well directed episode over all and looking forward to seeing what Hugh Laurie does with episode 19.
ReplyDeleteHe did a good job directing what they gave him. With the exception of a few segments, it was a poorly written episode.
ReplyDeleteYay Hugh, this isnt is first time directing right? i cant recall.
ReplyDeleteYes, he directed before, the episode he directed was "Lockdown" in season 6. It's even in the text btw - read more, less TV maybe? ;-)
ReplyDeleteThey were describing Lockdown from season 6, not the new episode he will be directing.
ReplyDeleteYou are mistaken, but not about the episode being done before. It says they don't know the plot of the new episode and they were describing the last episode he directed in season 6.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember what was the general whiny bitching about Lockdown? Was it that House mentioned Cuddy, he didn't mention Cuddy enough, or because Thirteen had a scene?
ReplyDeleteI thought he did exceptionally well with Lockdown, so I'm quite looking forward to the next one (too bad it will be the last)
ReplyDeleteGood, I'm sure he'll do an excellent job -- he always does, whatever he does.
ReplyDeleteI just wish the show hadn't gone so off track, so long ago. But, hey, Shore's got time left, he can still drag the show down, way, way down further. I shudder to think how he may find it fit to end it.
