Tbh, I'm getting sick of the SG (scooby gang) judging others despite it being none of their business. It's incredible the gall they have to stick their noses up and set this impossibly high standard when even their own can get away w/ murder (at times literally)
I hate this hiatus, but thanks for the article. I can't consider Klaus a particularly complex character. He's a brat. He apparently handles disagreements with his family by staking them and stuffing them in coffins and he really thinks they're gonna be happy with him when they wake up? And if they do express displeasure at what he did to them he might get mad and stake them again? Boo hoo....Overgrown tamper throwing three year old. Simple. But....LOTS of fun to watch. Lots of fun!
:-DI'm really bummed we don't get any Caroline. But I am hoping that Tyler gets the same treatment Caroline did...which is to say I hope that he continues to become an awesome character in his own right.
I'm guessing that once Damon finds out that Stefan didn't betray him and Elena but rather did what he did to save his life, Damon will back off from Elena. That's the decision that will affect Elena and Damon's relationship with each other and with Stefan. But, whenever I guess what's going to happen on TVD I'm usually wrong, so who knows...

Thanks. Sometimes I think I'm the only one that doesn't care for Klaus as a villain. I don't get how people think that Klaus is a complex character. I, for one, think he's very transparent.
I think Klaus is a bratty, petulant, self-centered, self-absorbed, psychopath with massive daddy issues who tries to hide all those annoying qualities behind a brooding demeanor and an accent.
lol Now I'm positive you don't like him as a villain! You're right, he's very transparent. Actually Klaus is a common stereotype, a psychopath with daddy issues. Nothing new or complex. Well anyway, even if I like TVD, I have to admit that the characters' subtlety or complexity is not the strong point of the show in my opinion.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I want to see Klaus's dream house!
ReplyDeleteScrew New Years. I am ready for you, Thursday!

ReplyDelete"We're almost nervous to admit it, but our big bad wolf has become one of the most complex characters on television right now."
ReplyDeleteI completely disagree with this statement in every way.
Whos leaving Mystic Falls?
ReplyDeleteKlaus's is going to torrment everbody
ReplyDeletethanks!
ReplyDelete.... Judging who? Stefan? It might be their business seeing as how he's about to put them all in mortal danger.
ReplyDeleteJeremy :)

not just him, jeremy (ghost world comes to mind), and in this episode Tyler. All three boys have hit a soft spot w/ me and I don't think it's fair.
ReplyDeleteI think he should die to be honest and be reunited with Anna in some way...

I don't think they'll kill off Elena's last living relative so I think we're stuck with him.

ReplyDeleteWhile I wouldn't go so far as to say that the main characters lack complexity, I can't really disagree with your statement either.
