Okay, this is awesome and an early Christmas present for me just because I heart Jamie Bamber. I'm still ticked that he left Law & Order: UK for this, but still. If I can get some Jamie Bamber, I am a happy girl.
I so disappointed in him (Steven) right now. I was just starting to forgive him about the ET debacle and then bam! Falling Skies AND Terra Nova, let's not even get started about his backing on Super 8...
I know he has this thing, but what this thing is i can't pinpoint.I know his inner child is bursting to come out,but it gets lost in translation,i guess the "grown ups" just can't grasp it,lol.... i am actually going to watch part 2 and 3 if there are more i have no idea, but what the hell its there is nothing better on. Merry Christmas Lilith!
Despite some rough edges, I thought that was a good pilot overall. I like the characters and the premise which was unique. I like the twist of the case involving the dead prophet and what was revealed about the Stoics. It creates a science vs. magic theme that I would love to see explore in further detail.
I loved this totally A?U world where magic replaces science and now a group wants science to become ascendant! Too Cool! I want to see more of this world!
Oh, how I have missed all of you!!! (but especially you Mr. Callis!!! --And when the other cop says, "Good morning, guys.", it was so, "Good morning, Gaius.") --I wish it would of had a chance. It's silly, but I still like it.
I didn't care anything for Lisa/Liam or the woman who transferred out of robbery, but apart from that I liked it. Would have liked to see if it stuck around. Certain parts did feel a bit too much like a '90s cop procedural, but I think I would have been more interested in this show than Grimm, for instance.
I think this would have been way better than Grimm personally & I like Grimm. The reason it wasn't picked up is because the big networks are watched more by the mouth breathing droolers. 17th Precint was too cereebral for the dummies who provide the huge ratings (ex: American Idol). II would have watched it though exceptt for the BSG alums the casting was bad, esp old lady cop from robbery
this is awesome! i like the story, i like the characters, i looove the universe and i think it's unique and kick ass and probably the awesomest thing i've seen in the 2011-2012 tv land! the acting was solid, the directing was good, the s/f were cool, i'm impressed with the detail that went into this replacing every single item and job with a magic equivalent, i love how they went about showing the magic as something everyday and banal and par of the course, and i can't believe it wasn't picked! i feel like crying on the lost opportunity :'( the magic vs. science war in a world were magic is the norm would have bn something we truly haven't seen before... :'( damit.
i like Grimm! i find the 'retell' of the classic fairytales pretty original in their new setting; but i would have loved this as well. it's a totally different cup of tea; i can't believe it wasn't picked up!
It wasn't perfect and there were bits that were a little too campy, but overall I think it had potential... I mean the twist in the end alone would have kept me watching. Too bad we'll never get to see if it would have been able to fulfill its promise.'

Ok ive watched 5 minutes and i dont like it wtf?! NBC is clearly desperate.
ReplyDeletethe fantasy show that never was
ReplyDeleteWAT
ReplyDeleteThis is a failed pilot. If you don't like it, then you agree with NBC for not picking it up.
ReplyDeleteA cast with actors from Battlestar Galactica and Caprica.
ReplyDeleteDid they film this in Canada?
I will watch this when it airs.
then you will never watch it :)
ReplyDeleteahh it was a waste of their money to even shoot this dumb pilot. Good that it got cancelled.

ReplyDeleteInteresting premise, bad execution, was Steven Spielberg behind it?
ReplyDeleteOUCH LOL!

Merry Christmas to you too, Laura
ReplyDeleteToo bad this didn't get picked up, I would have liked to have seen the outcome of the magic vs non-magic war.

ReplyDeleteIt is really silly but thanks!
ReplyDeleteI liked it, and it is hard to judge from just a pilot. I would have liked to watch it and see how it played out. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I may check this out later.

ReplyDeleteWhere i can get eng subs for this?
ReplyDeleteLOL'ing a little at this.
ReplyDeleteIt was probably way better than the shit of Grimm.

I got to see this and like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteAnd I know I am not the only one to say that.
Stockard Channing played the older detective.
ReplyDeleteFor those of you who don't remember, she was Rizzo in Grease.
BSG + Harry Potter + CSI = ^ that shit right there
